Im extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this hospital. The doctors lie to mental health patients and treat them like second class citizens. Furthermore, there are HIPPA violations left and right. I was denied my right to speak to a patients rights advocate and had my medications meddled with without my consent. My mind was in absolute shambles and I was held against my will. They go by their own rules and make things up as they go. 90% of those people are uneducated and inadequate. The ultimate issue that really bothered me was the fact that the doctor had the nerve to ask me if I had done anything illegal before discharging me. This was extremely frustrating as I have never had so much as a parking ticket. They deliberately fail to introduce themselves because they dont want you to complain about them. They refer to human rights as privileges and since they have declined to address my concerns, despite multiple requests, Im filing a complaint against this establishment. Since everyone here thinks its all fun and games, thats my only option. Having mental health issues is not a crime and they should strive to do better.

I been tryin' to get my medical records from my ob/gyn for 2 months now, but Huntsville Hospital ain't got no clue about it. I even went to the office and filled out paperwork, but they still don't know nothin'. These folks ain't professional and they ain't polite neither.

I was in the hospital for surgery on my pelvis 'cause of an accident on September 29. But the hospital messed up in two ways: 1) they didn't do a Covid test before I left for a temporary care place called Windsor House, and 2) they didn't keep me safe from getting sick. I got an infection and had to go back to the hospital for more surgery and medicine from a specialist. The late Covid test made it so I couldn't go to Windsor House when I was supposed to, and my insurance company (GEHA) didn't pay for the hospital stay during that time. GEHA also stopped the agreement for me to go to Windsor House 'cause the hospital didn't follow the plan. GEHA paid the hospital $62,224.95 for everything else. I called the hospital on August 20, and asked them to not make me pay $1,488.19 and to wait on the bill while we figure it out. I'm waiting for them to answer me back.

I was at the hospital in August . I never got a bill or any calls. I got a collections account on my credit report. I called the hospital and explained I was never billed, they probably lied about many things. I paid them in full and they were supposed to recall the account. They never recalled it and sent it to multiple collection agencies. I started receiving a new bill without the online code to pay my bill. I contacted them and tried to work it out, I got ignored. Now after multiple attempts, I've been ignored by billing, patient advocates, and everyone else in the hospital. No one can tell me how much I owe or what I've paid for. Also, on discharge from the hospital, they wrote one of my prescriptions for half the time they were supposed to for my follow-up appointment. They refused to fix the mistake and told me to check back into the ER. I had to pay an urgent care to fix their mistake. And they're a hospital ignoring formal complaints and patient advocates aren't responding.

I got hurt at work and went to Huntsville Hospital. Workers' Comp said I got hurt at home, but I didn't. I gave them proof from HEMSI, but they still didn't believe me. I asked for my medical records to be changed, and they finally did it. The doctor said it was probably from work, but Workers' Comp might still say it was from home. I need Huntsville Hospital to say it was from work officially. They should have done it already.

My daughter went to the ER on 03/19 and they never billed the insurance. I didn't know until a collection company called me last year saying I owed for the visit. I gave them the insurance info and asked them to re-bill. The ER visit was paid by the insurance, but the Physicians group never sent the bill to insurance for payment and I didn't know. Another collection call came and I called the insurance company to see why it wasn't paid. They said they never got the bill from the physicians group. We both called them to send the bill, but they said it was under review and wouldn't send it until it was fully reviewed. I called again and asked to send it for payment since it's almost been a year. They said they were sending it electronically. The insurance rep called again and they still hadn't sent it. I asked to speak with a supervisor who said she was sending it and that she could see that it had been requested several times. She said they should see it within 24-48 hours. We're still waiting, but the one year mark is coming in two weeks and this needs to be resolved quickly. Otherwise, they will try to hold me responsible for this bill that I cannot seem to get a copy of. Billing.
