On a December day, I took my vintage truck to the local auto shop. They estimated a one-week repair time. The next week, they cited holiday delays for parts, postponing completion to January. Come January, the parts were still missing, yet they promised a resolution in a week. By February, the parts arrived, and they promised completion amidst covid disruptions.

They requested upfront payment due to part sourcing challenges for my vintage truck. I paid $1,850 and got a receipt in March. My truck was inaccessible, blocked by other vehicles, necessitating police intervention for retrieval. The police coordinated with a towing company, and a man named Cole facilitated communication, noting the owner's inaccessibility and sporadic shop hours.

After three months, they sent a photo of my truck being serviced, but the driver's side mirror was missing, contrary to its state in December. Upon collection, the shop was unmanned, but I received the keys. The car sounded unchanged the next day, and I discovered an improperly installed bracket. They hadn't ordered the missing mirror.

Yesterday, Cole texted me, revealing the transmission wasn't rebuilt as promised but replaced with a used one, risking the new engine installed the previous November. My attempts to discuss this with the owner failed, and it seems I've been blocked. I'm now seeking a refund of $1,850.
