We (table of two) came in to be seated and told by the hostess that it would be a 30 minute wait because the kitchen was backed up on 11/26/18 at approximately 7 p.m. We pointed out multiple tables that were clean and available after 30 min but the hostess continued to express that she was instructed to wait. She continued to seat other tables of two that arrived after us, long after 30 minutes. Other customers were allowed to walk up to tables without respecting the wait time and be served. After pointing this out to the hostess she said, "That wasn't supposed to happen." After 50 minutes had passed and the hostess intentionally circled the restaurant avoiding eye contact with us, we got her attention and asked politely, again, for a table that had been cleaned, she said, "You all go ahead." She apologized for the service but we were disappointed with the experience.
