My credit report was run several times and I was told I will be approved but was not. Not only was I insulted, but I was rudely ushered out of the showroom when they saw that they couldn't make money off my business.

Hillside Honda On July 22, I bought a 2022 Honda Civic from Hillside Honda

On July 22, I bought a 2022 Honda Civic from Hillside Honda. The issue is that they only gave me one set of keys. I have repeatedly asked for the second set of keys because when you purchase a car, you should receive two sets. I paid for it and I want the second set.

Hillside Honda I took my car to Hillside Honda to get my air conditioning fixed and to have a part I bought earlier installed

I took my car to Hillside Honda to get my air conditioning fixed and to have a part I bought earlier installed. But guess what? The very next day, the air conditioner stopped working again. I gave it another shot the following day, but no luck, still not working. So, I decided to give Hillside Honda a call. Can you believe it? The service representative flat out refused to talk to me and had the audacity to say they wouldn't stand by their work. They wouldn't fix the problem I already paid for, and they wouldn't even consider fixing it without me shelling out more money. And to top it all off, this guy named Mike, who was supposed to help me, wouldn't even bother talking to me or returning my call. Can you say terrible customer service?

Is Hillside Honda legit?

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds Hillside Honda to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 0% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, Hillside Honda is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with Hillside Honda, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

Hillside Honda earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Hillsidehonda.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Hillsidehonda.com you are considering visiting, which is associated with Hillside Honda, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While Hillside Honda has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 12 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Hillsidehonda.com has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The hillsidehonda.com may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • Hillside Honda protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Hillside Honda On July *,, Hillside Honda did my yearly inspection

On July *,, Hillside Honda did my yearly inspection. They told me that my brakes and rotors were in bad shape and needed immediate attention. I agreed to have the services done and paid for them. After leaving the service center, I thought I had new brakes and rotors. However, on July ***, I had a scary experience when my car didn't stop properly even after pressing the brakes hard (which shouldn't happen with new brakes). I am upset because it seems like Honda didn't actually complete the work I paid for, and this could have put my child and me in danger of getting seriously hurt.

Hillside Honda On August 13th, I gave permission to *** to apply for financial credit with MCU only

On August 13th, I gave permission to *** to apply for financial credit with MCU only. She noted my specific request on my application. However, on August 14th, Hillside Honda Finance Unit took it upon themselves to run my credit through four different companies: *** Consumer *** American Honda Finance and CDK/Hillside Honda. None of these companies were MCU. I called my sales representative, ***, at 2:40 PM, and while I was talking to her, the fourth inquiry was processed. At that moment, I asked her to retrieve my finance application, cancel my order, and promptly refund my $500 deposit. I am writing to make sure that my deposit is returned within five business days. If the deposit is held for longer than that, I would consider it a malicious business practice.

Hillside Honda On July 5, I leased a vehicle from Hillside Honda

On July 5, I leased a vehicle from Hillside Honda. The dealership, unfortunately, misrepresented the contract terms, which led to an inflated base lease price. Moreover, they didn't offer any assistance for a whopping 14 days after I signed the lease. On the day of the lease, I was kept at the dealership for a staggering 7 hours. Throughout this time, they persistently lied to me about the wait time and the actions being taken. Additionally, they failed to provide me with a copy of my lease contract when I left the dealership. When I reached out for help, they rudely hung up on me and denied my request to speak with a head manager. Frustrated, I contacted Honda national and filed complaints. However, it took two weeks and a visit back to the dealership for me to finally obtain my lease contract.

It's disheartening to see that the dealership intentionally misleads customers and neglects to provide accurate and essential information about lease terms and add-on features. They put immense pressure on customers, causing distress and duress, all while employing dishonest tactics. To make matters worse, they increase the base lease price without informing the customer about this change.

Hillside Honda I got a 2020 Honda CRV on lease in February

I got a 2020 Honda CRV on lease in February . I clearly told the Sales Executive that I can't afford to pay more than $500 a month. We agreed on a payment of $383.00, but when I went to the finance department, they added $70.00 without discussing it with me. They asked if I was okay with it, and I said yes. We never talked about a payment of $557.00, but somehow, the first contract I filled out disappeared. They had me sign another contract with the $557.00 amount, but I didn't notice it at the time. It was only when I received my first statement that I saw the $557.00. I called Hillside Honda, and they told me to come in and discuss the issue. They brushed me off and made me wait for 2 hours. Finally, when I spoke to someone, I told them that if I had known my payment would be that high, I wouldn't have taken the vehicle. I made it clear to the Sales Executive as well. These people are a bunch of crooks, and I will never buy or lease anything from them again.

Hillside Honda I went to Hillside Honda to find a car

I went to Hillside Honda to find a car. They offered me a new, dark *** CRV EXL. I took it home on January 1, 2022, and within four days, I noticed a problem with the temperature gauge. I went back to the dealer and they said nothin' was wrong with the car. Then I noticed the computer (display screen) wasn't workin'. I called the dealer and they gave me a number to call to make sure my phone worked with the car. After I did that, the phone was compatible, but the computer (display screen) would show *** or do things without me touchin' it. Also, the heat gauge still ain't workin' right. Every time I call the dealer, they tell me it's workin'. I brought the car to *** Honda and they said they didn't see nothin', but I'm still havin' the problem. Then the heater started makin' loud noises. After the 90 days of the Lemon Law, Hillside Honda finally told me there was somethin' wrong with the car and they had to order a heating fan. They ordered a part for the car and kept it overnight to fix it. The computer (display screen) still ain't workin'. It's got a mind of its own. Things come on the screen even when I didn't touch it.

Hillside Honda On Sept 26 2021, I bought a Honda HRV from Hillside Honda

On Sept 26 2021, I bought a Honda HRV from Hillside Honda. When we agreed on a price, the finance manager ***, offered us the option to get the total protection plan for the car. I said no to the plan, and *** attitude changed. He said we had to take it or he couldn't continue with the sale. The cost was $3000. He had mentioned that if we ever returned the car or something happened to it, we would get our money back. In July 2022, I changed my mind and wanted to return the car. I contacted the protection company, and they said there was no such plan. That's when I realized something was wrong. I went back to Hillside Honda to talk to them about getting a refund, but they denied selling me the protection plan and refused to help. *** was really aggressive, and his manager didn't come to assist us. I have audio proof and witnesses too. I'm filing this complaint against the dealership because this is unfair, especially for them to do business like this. It has caused me emotional and mental pain because it's like theft, and they won't admit or acknowledge their wrongdoing. They have sold the protection plan to many others too. I want justice for myself and others.

Hillside Honda My Honda 2019 CRV shut down on 11/27 and was towed to Hillside Honda on ***

My Honda 2019 CRV shut down on 11/27 and was towed to Hillside Honda on ***. The sales rep told me they would diagnose the issues on 11/29. Due to the Thanksgiving long weekend, he called on Monday and said he checked the car on Saturday. He said it's the fuel pump and it's covered by the warranty. On 11/30, he called to say it's not the fuel pump, but a bigger problem. The car needs a new engine and I should call my insurance. I was told they would replace the engine with a lower mileage, approximately *** miles. I picked up the car on 12/25 after multiple calls and trips to Honda. They never had a reasonable explanation for the one-month delay. My husband started questioning why an engine that was claimed to be on hand took a month to replace. *** and *** told us they only swap engines for the same year. However, based on the VIN number provided on the receipt, the engine came from a 2017 Honda Touring with approximately 33,000 miles. I was promised *** miles on the engine. I am scared to drive because the engine doesn't sound right. On 12/31 and 01/08/22, we spoke to *** and ***. All they did was take notes. Now I have a car that I am scared to drive and Honda is not doing anything to resolve this issue. I would like the ComplaintsBoard.com to investigate this particular dealer on my behalf. Thank you in anticipation.

Hillside Honda On June 1, 2022, I took my car to Hillside Honda because there was a noise coming from the right side

On June 1, 2022, I took my car to Hillside Honda because there was a noise coming from the right side. I mentioned to them that it seemed like an issue with the exhaust. However, the mechanic didn't bother test driving the car to listen to the sound, as he later admitted. Instead, they replaced perfectly fine parts that didn't need to be replaced. To make matters worse, they charged me for Honda parts but used cheaper alternatives.

When I picked up my car, it was still making the same noise. I immediately returned to the shop, and the mechanic who worked on it confessed that he hadn't bothered to drive the car or investigate the source of the noise. After finally taking it for a spin, he concluded that it was the muffler causing the problem. He promised that Hillside Honda would replace it for free since they had made a mistake by replacing the wrong parts.

However, the Service Manager, whose name I can't recall exactly, refused to fix the muffler. Instead, he offered to replace the gaskets at no charge. He scheduled three appointments for me to bring in the car, but each time I called at the end of the day for an update, they claimed they didn't have enough time to fix it. This happened three times. As a result, my car still has the noise, and I'm now $2200 poorer for unnecessary work.

They deceived me, swindled my money, and seemed to find amusement in making me bring in the car without any intention of actually fixing it. They repeatedly told me they didn't have time, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. It was especially painful for me to walk home from the bus stop after dropping off my car, considering I'm awaiting spine surgery, and they were fully aware of my condition.

Hillside Honda On September *,, we went to Hillside Honda to lease a new Honda Odyssey ES 2020

On September *,, we went to Hillside Honda to lease a new Honda Odyssey ES 2020. As part of the agreement, they said they would handle our old Honda Odyssey LS 2018. They even transferred the license plates from the old car to the new one. However, on September ,, we received a letter from Fusion Auto Finance stating that we had to bring the old car to them. We were surprised because Hillside Honda had the car for a whole week. They also took the license plates and put them on the new car, so we couldn't do it ourselves. We found out that Fusion Auto Finance picked up the old car from Hillside Honda on September ,. This means the car was at the dealership from September 3rd to September ***,. We have no idea what happened to the car during that time. Fusion Auto Finance experts say it has a lot of scratches and has driven 15,472 miles out of the allowed 39,000, even though it was kept in a garage. We don't think we should be responsible for the car's condition after it was in someone else's hands for two weeks. We believe Hillside Honda is to blame for this whole situation. The dealership employees misled us just to make a profit and get us to sign the lease agreement. Now we have to pay Fusion Auto Finance $1,371.83. It's not fair and we feel wronged.
