Herbalife International unauthorized billing

I sent $9.95 for information that was supposed to be here in 2 days. I knew that was impossible to come from the U.S. in that time but got about 10 days later. The package has a DVD & a 'workbook'. You are instructed to call your mentor for more instructions after you watch part of the Dvd. You can only watch part of it cause you have to get a 'code' from your mentor to go farther. After that point you have 14 days to decide if you want to continue with the business. If you don't let them know when the 14 days is up they bill you $40 for the dvd.

I have repeatedly contacted this person but she won't return my calls or emails. Of course she billed my credit card for the $40. I don't have an address to send the DVD back to& she won't give me one. I guess thats how they make money ripping people off with overpriced material.

I saw an ad on Tv late one night claiming to make alot of money part time, I called in for the information and was told I would have to pay 9.95 for the dvd. I received the dvd and a phone call from Chris Wilkins saying he was going to be my mentor and ask me some questions as to how serious about making extra income. He also stated that If I didn't want to continue that I would get all my money back except the 9.95, which I agreed.

I met with him and some guy named David, way out in Ma. I was also given Davids phone number if I ever had any questions or concerns. I tried calling David at the number that was given to me and low and behold, it was NOT a good number. So I proceeded to call Chris back and ask some questions about what the name of this company was and he explained that I needed to wait and speak with himself and David the next day and they would explain the program and the name of the company.

It should have thrown up a red flag when he would answer my question. I received a conference call from Chris and David and they told me that my packet to get started in making money would ONLY be 199.95. They already had my credit card info and was very excited about using it for this packet of products and enrolling literature. I called Chris back and told him that I was not interested, I had not opened the carton and wanted a refund, told him that I was not going to buy a lot of stock, sell it myself and not make much from it.

I told him when the shipment arrives I would just refuse it. He told me if I did that, that it would take almost 3 times as long to receive my refund. So I didn't refuse it, but did not open it either. Chris told me to ship it directly back to him and he would refund my 199.95 and thats what I did, at my expense of 14.42 to ship it from Oklahoma to Fl. I did get a partial refund of only 159.05, I wrote Chris back and ask him why the difference, and to no avail I haven't heard from him. If someone promises you the world and it sounds too good to be true, people ...RUN as fast as you can from these scammers.

Sorry, that does not sound like Herbalife. It must be some poeple trying to make money in a abd way.
I both love the liberty you get with internet, but I absolutely HATE when some people take advantage of it.
There are so many scams out there. Herbalife is a good company, but oh my what evil people can do and destoy a reputation!

I worked for herbalife overseas and they have very tight credit card usage. Every purchase has to verified with a person IC/Dr license. I think Herbalife should come clean and stop misleading customers that they really do have a quota system that you must meet other wise you will loose your downline. I've seen it happen to high rollers that sunk all their money into this firm trying to grap a piece of the action only to have it yanked from under them and given to an undeserving DR or Lawyer. Crosslining, backstabing, and profiteering are all covered in Herbalife Biz manual as a no no, but nobody enforces it. Directors do as they want for profits. The product is great, but a few spoil the MLM system for everyone.

I went in as supervisor and of course wanted to make money. It took me about a month or so and I got out. When they had you call people they wanted you to be downright ruthless and unfeeling to the people on the other end of the phone. Also, I got SOOO tired of listening to a certain president's team member go on and on and on about the same thing over and over and over again. I also didn';t like being told you HAVE TO, you've GOT TO and you MUST! For example, I had a gentleman by the Training Pack and the day he was supposed to have his first pack call, his sister ended up in the hospital in ICU. I told my mentor and she said I still had to call him and verify that the training pack had shipped. He was at the hospital with his sister! Anyway, that was only one incident but I know I will never buy any Herbalife again or encourage anyone to buy since I know what kind of people are behind the scenes.

I worked in a management position at Herbalife corp office. We have millions in credit card fraud a year from the distributors who are trying to make their monthly goal and charge unsuspecting customers on their credit card. Corp office is well aware of this and turn a blind eye. There is a President team member whose downline had committed over half a million dollars of fraud in less than a year. Corp. office was aware of this but again turned a blind eye due to sales. Not only was there unauthorized charges to the customer but the distributor got paid royalties on those sales. I tired to implement and create new policies to protect consumers, however this would lower sales and I encountered a lot of resistance. Although official policy is Herbalife does not accept 3rd party chargecards, the truth is you can use "susies" credit card to charge "paul's orders and ship to "tommy" ?! I no longer work for Herbalife, it is the worst company I have ever worked for! Herbalife values talk alot obout integrity of the product, of the customers and the employees.. I saw none fo this! Bottome line DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO A HERBALIFE DISTRIBUTOR!

Herbalife International rip off

I made the mistake of giving my credit card number to these people and now they have charged me over $500 of my hard earned money and I have yet to receive a refund. I have returned all of their stuff to them and have filled out their refund slips but haven't received any kind of refund as of yet. It has been over 2 months since I realized that this was a scam and requested a refund. Do not give out any financial information to these people, they are crooks and they will rip you off big time if you let them. I filed a dispute with my credit card company but after a month went by they put the charge back onto my credit card, and then Herbalife had the nerve to charge my account again without my permission. My credit card company called me to let me know this so I immediately canceled my credit card so that it couldn't happen again. The nerve of those people to charge my credit card when I never gave them permission to do so just really irritates me to no end. What tipped me off was when I started reading the reports from other people that had written about them on this site and realized that I had ripped off. When I read that people were having health issues because of the Herbalife supplements that some people's livers were failing them, I became really scared and decided not to even try any of the products at all. That's when I contacted my so called sponsor and he started his [censored] response that I need to not listen to what other people were saying about Herbalife. But then I got to thinking all of these people can't be wrong? When I challenged my sponsor about he called his sponsor immediately and they both got on the phone and did a 3 way call to try and talk me out of it not getting involved with them. But I didn't listen and I'm glad that I didn't because they were really trying to brainwash me and I would have no part of it.

Were you dealing directly with Herbalife in Los Angeles, or were you dealing with an independent distributor? There is an important distinction.

This issue with liver damage...remember ephedra? The old formulation from over 10 years ago did contain ephedra, but that was reformulated with another herbal compound. So that was very old information I think. Your sponsor should have done a better job at explaining it...but chances are this: They never used the products themselves! It was just about the $$$$$.

I had a person who was concerned over it once near the end of my time with them...I did sit down and talk as best I could about the risks of ephedra, because it was just now becoming known to us in the field (but all remembered those occasional people who got rapid heart beats while taking old "green"). At one point we just stopped including the old green and substituted the new green, unless the customer specifically asked for it. We just removed the green from his kit and refunded his money for that -- he was happy.

About 11 PM on November 30, 1996, a Hawthorne police officer pulled Hughes over for driving on the wrong side of the road. Hughes, the police report said, was making his way from Los Angeles International Airport to the Bare Elegance strip club. The officer had him exit his Jeep Cherokee and put him through several sobriety tests, which Hughes failed.

Hughes said he had only drunk two glasses of wine. But a field breath test registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.22, almost three times the legal limit. Says Dr. Haraszti: "On the face of it, that is diagnostic of alcoholism. It is such a high level that an ordinary person would not be able to stand up, much less drive. You have to use a lot to develop that level of tolerance."

He had become a problem drinker by the early 1990s.

Reason of Death:
The Los Angeles County coroner's office concludes he died of a toxic combination of alcohol and Doxepin, an antidepressant he was taking to help him sleep. His blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.21, more than 2 1/2 times the legal limit for driving.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hughes often stated that his mother died of an accidental overdose of prescription diet pills when he was 18, which he claimed was the impetus for founding Herbalife. Her autopsy and toxicology tests suggest her death was due to an overdose of Darvon, a painkiller[1]. At the time of her death she was 5-foot-6-inches tall but weighed only 105 pounds.
Hughes's Dad confession:
Hartman adamantly denies Jo Ann had a weight problem. "This whole story is not true, " he insists. But she did have a problem. "She was addicted to pain pills, " Hartman says, singling out the popular painkillers Darvon and Percodan, which have never been prescribed for weight loss. "She used them in combination to prolong the high."
The mistake was not giving your Credit Card to "Herbalife"
The mistake begins with Greed and being Vain.
I too had some greed in me once but after really working with this company they really make you see the true purpose of this MAGNIFICENT Company. It's a shame really that some people like to give out opinions before facts.
You, COMPLAINERS, are a perfect example of what OPINIONS are made of, people without FACTS.
You in particular Varnet, how can you judge a company without even trying it. Also I would like to say that ANY OF YOU who might read this that if people are dying or being affected while drinking this product means that they were to late when they sought for help. Most people really just want to walk in and say cure me in a week. This product takes times to work because it is not a drug like other dangerous products out there so you cannot overdose with the product but that doesn't mean any of you should go try to get OD (you will only waste your time and probably get beneficial results MAYBE)
anyway
lastly
when you got to thinking and you thought all the people cant be wrong,
who were really these people?
people like you in who will eventually in time become another scammer?
or those other people who took the product thinking change was going to be fast like fast food?
to be an effective distributor you have to be disciplined like all the successful ones
I bet you wanted to become a distributor and not be disciplined.
