If I could give less then 1 star I would. We've been dealing with Helbing for awhile now, in the begining we had decent communicatiom. However most the "settlements" that they claim they have done were ones we handed to them, or after we were hit with garnishments and paid off fully ourselves outside of them. We've had to pay extra to get things settled. When we call now we never get the documunation that we are requesting to be sent to us, they hang up on us. They say we can not talk to anyone that is negoationing our accounts or a supervisor, yet they can't answer the questions we are asking. We try e-mail them and get no response. I would really recomend finding anyone else to assist you. Also when we call now we can not seem to get ahold of anyone that speaks/understands english very well so it is a nightmare.

If there was a zero rating that is what I would provide. My father-in-law hired this group in March to help him. While he paid Helbing Law Group over $11,000 to settle debts amounting to slighty over $17,000 - they still have NOT settled ANY of the credit cards. In addition, dad has continued to pay more than an additional $5000 to one of the credit card companies. As of this writing, we have tried to contact the company more than 12 separate times, and we keep getting "disconnected" or sent to voicemails that don't exist. We have not been called back. Not one of their customer service individuals (no matter how nice they come across) can give us a name of an attorney or a direct line to anyone. This is Elder Abuse, Fraud, and a SCAM. I cannot believe these people have not been shut down. BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This is a true scam! I really dont know how they have such a high rating. They start off real nice and accommodating. But all that changes once you are in contract with them. Customer service reps lie and make up policies. They promise to call you back or return calls with information and never do. They tell you that your credit will be repaired within a year and right now they are telling me its going to take almost 3. If I had to guess the good reviews they have received are either bots, or people they paid to leave reviews. simply because when you google them the first result that comes up is " is Helbing Law a scam?" I can definitely answer that question. They are are absolutely a scam, If not they are shady at best. I suggest you stay as far as humanly possible from this company and its poor customer service and awful practices.

We give Helbing Law Group a 1 star rating. My husband and I were not satisfied with the service. We entrusted them to help us get rid of some debt. Helbing did negotiate a settlement for one of our biggest creditors. We went through their program for 2 years, only to find out during the process. they needed more money from us. This happened at least 3 times. The last time was after we had already closed out the program. This creditor has been paid in full but now we find they have reported it as a charge off on our credit reports and that gives us a negative mark on our report. If we had known that after going through the program with Helbing, our creditors would still be able to put a negative remark on our credit report, and after all the money we paid them, it would have been cheaper to file bankruptcy because we still ended up with negative credit report. I'm currently in a debt consolidation program with this firm and I have no clue if these reviews are real because my experience as been the complete opposite of what these people are stating. I've been given such a song and dance with this company and here we are 14 MONTHS later and NO SETTLEMENT yet. Everything they mentioned to me on the phone in the initial call has turned out to be completely different. I was PROMISED I would NOT PAY ONE CENT MORE than the agreed monthly amount they have been taking out of my account for the last 14 months. Well, guess what? I was given a call ASKING IF I COULD COME UP with X amount MORE to help settle one specific account. My last 2 calls with someone from their office ended up with me yelling at them at the top of my lungs expressing my dismay with them and how it's too late for me to pull out from them. Please DO NOT USE them...This is a REAL REVIEW and I'm extremely unhappy with their services. Find another competitor!

I started the debt program in May . I was told I would be debt free in three years. I had a small debt with one credit card company and a larger debt with another. I was told that it would be better to include the smaller debt along with the larger one. The only way at this point that I can figure it was better, is better for Helbing Law because I am now liable for what I owe them. I was also told that they negotiated 40% of debt with the CC companies. In fact, I will be paying in the end, the same amount as if I had not negotiated with Helbing Law. The one negotiation they have succeeded in landing at this point is 50% on the smaller debt I had. Had I paid that on my own, I would have paid out the same amount as had I not worked with Helbing. The larger debt has been negotiated at 60%. Not 40%. I am a far cry from what was promised.So who comes out ahead in that negotiation? Helbing! 18 months into the program, I am no better off than when I started. But Helbing is. I cannot recommend this law /debt reduction company.

I believe they are a total scam. I used their company and made pymts. of $324./mt for 1year and 1/2 and on my last three pymts. i stopped pymt. b/c they still hadn't paid off the first lender out of 3 after 1 year and 1/2. All they accomplished is made my accts. more deliquent, made my credit score plunge to where I couldn't even get anymore credit borrowed, and had legal action taking against me by one of my creditors. When i stopped pymt. they cancelled my account and refunded me only 2600.00 out of 7000.00. They didn't do nothing the whole time they had my loan and if I would of known better and had not been so desperate for help I would of realized that I could of done the same thing myself quicker and for way less problems and money. It's really sad that they do this to someone that is already stressed out who are at their wits end and then they made everything sound so easy and peachy to where we didn't really read the contract instead just went by what the said and promised. They should be ashamed of theirselves. I want the rest of my money that I paid to them since they didn't do anything to earn any of it.

lol, WHAT A JOKE, I HIRED HELBING LAW GROUP 30 MONTHS AGO TO HELP ME WITH 5 ACCOUNTS OF MINE. AFTER 30 NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE , I CONTACTED THEM TODAY , AND THEY TOLD ME THEY ARE WAITING , WAITING , WAITING , FOR THE ACCOUNT HOLDERS TO AGREE TO HELBINGS 40% DEAL. ONE DID THE OTHER 4 WONT, SO ONE (BOA) WILL ONLY SETTLE FOR 55% AND I HAVE TO PAY THE OTHER 15%. THE REASON I HIRED THESE SCAM ARTIST IS TO SETTLE THESE ACCOUNTS, I HAVE 6 MONTHS LEFT ON MY CONTRACT WITH HELBING AND 4 OF THE 5 ACCOUNTS , NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. BUT THEY TOOK THEIR FEES UPFRONT , 8000 DOLLARS WORTH , SO IN 6 MONTHS WHEN THESE ACCOUNT DONT AGREE TO THE HELBING TERMS. HELPING WILL COME TO ME AND SAY , SORRY WE COULDNT GET OUR 40% , AND KEEP THE MONEY I HAVE PAID THEM. OR I WOULD HAVE TO SUE A HUGE LAW FIRM TO GET MY MONEY BACK. THIS IS THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM, THEY BAIT YOU IN EARLY IN THE DEAL , "WE WILL SETTLE THESE ACCOUNTS FOR YOU " THEN THE ACCOUNTS GO ON MY CREDIT REPORT IN COLLECTION , I CAN SETTLE THEM FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR FOR 25% OR LESS, BUT SINCE I HAD HELBING I DIDNT PAY THOSE ACCOUNTS AND HER WE ARE , DONT HIRE THESE FOLKS THEY WILL GET YOU .

Alejandro L is a gentle man that has given me great service that exceeds above and beyond. He patiently went through my information giving me details to learn about my status of my account. With these details I took an extra step to call the company that also had my information which was Financial Recovery Services. The sad part about this is that this company was informed and knew that Helbing Law Group was assisting me, yet they did not update or inform Helbing Law Group that they did not have my information. They kept my information from my negotiator whom was making every effort to get my account resolved. So I asked where my information was and Financial Recovery Services had told me that it was with Resurgence Capital Services LP. This is where I got phone numbers and names of the new companies. I immediately shared this information with Alejandro and he immediately emailed my negotiator with the updated information and contacted 5 other people in his office to keep them informed including his manager Sarasay. Alejandro stayed with me throughout the process as I did research for myself and allowed me to be comfortable with my curiosity of wanting to learning what was going on. He also assisted me and taught me how to go online of which I have not explored. And helped me learn about my account information. He also is the very FIRST PERSON EVER that taught me about how to share my review as well. Thank you Alejandro for taking the time to teach me all these cool things and also to help me step in to help out as well. First of all. I don't know how this company still a five star rating. Here is my experience with this law firm. The law firm was introduce to me and my wife on 12 Dec 2019. We signed the agreement with our first monthly payment of $481.97 on 12 Jan 2020. The agreement is for a settlement between my wife and I with a bank. We were told that they can settle both our account for a lower monthly payment and we agreed. After the first I received a call from the law firm that they will be taking the payment from my pay. I reply OK. The following month the same thing. After the 3rd month. I realized I did not a call from the law frim explaining or update me on status of my settlement. I only get these monthly calls to ward me that they will be deducting my payment from my account. So, I started calling. No answer, call again and finally some answer my call. What is the status of my account. The Representative said, she will have someone call me back. This went on for couple of months. I started getting worried and upset at the same time. When I finally talked to a Representative, I asked. Why you only call to let me know that you will deduct my payment from pay check? The Representative reply, they are still working the settlement. I continued to asked for status but not getting any at all. S I decided to cancel my account, On 12 February . I called and also sent an email to the Law Firm do not deduct any money from my account and I want to cancel my account. After 12 month not receiving any updates, I decided to cancel my account. I paid this law firm a total of $5,783.64. I asked for a refund and they sent me a check for $1,416.46. Based on the agreement under Cancellation: Client may at any time cancel this Agreement. If Client cancels this agreement, HLG will promptly return to client all of the monies held in HLG's Trust Account for Client's Settlement Payment Fund. I mentioned this to the Representative at Client Relations but she reply, I only get what is in the Escrow Account. I reply, that is not in the agreement. This people are stealing money and I am asking people DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM. THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM. THEY TOOK $4,367.19 FROM ME. I ALSO FOUND OUT FROM MY BANK, THEY DID NOT RECEIVED ANY SETTLEMENT FROM THIS LAW FIRM. CAN SOMEONE GET THE REST OF MY MONEY FROM THEM SINCE THEY DID NOT DO ANY THING FOR ME.

Helbing is *hot garbage*! Their customer service is the worst i have ever seen in my life - no one responds to emails, no one returns phone calls, and nobody who answers the phones has any real answers to your questions because they can only read the few blurbs on your customer profile. I went to Helbing with three CC accounts, they settled the smallest first at 35%, then Discover sued me and Helbing lost that in court for me, so i had to pay 100% of what i owed plus court costs, Discover tried to set up a payment plan for me through Helbing and Helbing lost the paperwork to be sent to Discover and i ended up getting garnished for 25% of my pay for 6 months. I separately raised money to pay off Discover and called Helbing to set up the payment to Discover so i could get out form under garnishment and was given the run around for over two months - they would transfer me multiple times to different people in accounting, a negotiator, the legal department, and then back to generic customer service reps. Someone would tell me i had to speak with "so and so" in one department, that person would be gone for the day and would call me first thing in the morning, two days later i would call back because no one called me and i would go through the whole process all over again. I can' stress enough how terrible their customer service is, everyone knows nothing except who you should be talking to instead of them! My last account, Fifth Third Bank, they sat on for so long doing nothing that 5/3 sold my debt to a third party, the third party reached out to me to settle for 50%. I called Helbing to see what was going on with my Fifth Third account and was told "our negotiator is currently working with 5/3 to settle the account" when i told that person that my debt was sold to someone else they were surprised and unaware this had happened. These are the people you are trusting to handle your financial business. I made my last payment to Helbing on 5/15 and on 5/17 i called to ask about the money i overpaid to Helbing to settle my accounts and was told any day i would get an email about "graduating the program" and a check would be mailed out to me shortly. Since then i have tried contacting them numerous times with no response. They take your money so quickly, but then take their sweet time giving it back. Speaking of paying and giving back, in the fall of 2019 i received an email from one of their "paralegals" (i put it in quotes because i have had a few people call themselves that, only to find out they are a customer service rep with zero legal back round) telling me that Discover wants to settle and they need $1,000 more from me ASAP. So i borrow money at a high interest rate and send it over, a few weeks go by and i haven't heard anything from anyone, so i call and i talk to my contact there (i had five of them over 30 months, what does that tell you?) who has no clue what i'm talking about with a settlement, they transfer me to legal and they don't have any record of a settlement being on the table! I forward the email sent to me to the head of the legal department and i never heard anything about it ever again because no one returns calls or emails and i don't know the secret phrase to say on the phone to talk to anyone who makes any kind of decision there. In December, after begging for that $1,000 back so i can pay back my loan they finally gave it to me. Don't do business with them! If you want to get out of debt, find a local lawyer who handles cases like this and talk to them. You will pay the same amount and probably get actual one on one consultation from a real lawyer, not someone at a call center who doesn't know you from Adam. All Helbing tells you to do is stop paying your credit cards and when the creditors call you, you tell them to call Helbing. When you have 40% of what you owe to the lowest creditor, they call that creditor and say they will pay that amount if the creditor will call your debt even. Most creditors accept this offer because if you don't pay they either sue you (which usually isn't worth it to them) or they sell your debt to a third party for a fraction of what you owe so they can get some money back. Helbing does nothing special that you couldn't do, but if you don't feel comfortable, call someone local who will give you the time of day!

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. I am so glad that I pulled out of this early! I have no clue how this company has any good reviews. I'm glad that others found help but I came to this company out of desperation and things are only worse now. I would rather go through the stress of figuring out my own debt then ever work with this company. I would love to detail everything that happened but I have already wasted too much time on this so I will leave a brief overview. My "account manager" was very nice but I have never seen such horrible customer service. I don't even know why they have account managers. If they don't manage your account and develop a relationship with you what is the point? I had to submit my documents 6 times and never heard a word from her. Literally. I asked how to communicate better with her I got NOTHING. She did not respond to A SINGLE EMAIL I SENT. I had time sensitive court ordered accounts that I asked about 3-4 times and heard NOTHING. I finally found out today they still have the wrong email saved and I have called her to change that multiple times. I called to get a different account manager and I will save you from how ridiculous that turned out. I had to finally act like a complete psychopath and refuse to get off the phone until I spoke with some sort of manager to get to anyone beyond their receptionists. After all of this and so much more not mentioned here I quickly decided to cancel it even if I were to be penalized. That's how much I despise how they have treated me and how much I distrust them. I'm in insane amounts of medical debt so you can see it must have gotten very bad for me to be willing to loose any money. I finally, after 30-40 min of being on hold and given the run around talked with supposedly a manger. She helped me more but they just have this unbelievable way of blowing past any of the concerns and just asking if you want a refund or not. She did seem concerned about some of the stuff I said but again its like "ok sorry about that but do you want a refund?" not "oh my gosh let me do everything I can to hear this client out and try to resolve their issues." I was honestly surprised by that so just know that you can get a refund quite easily from them. I am not sure if that's a good thing or just further adds to the horrible customer service and sketchiness I encountered in this whole process. I also have not received my refund yet so I am hoping that all actually goes smoothly. The best part of this whole thing is that I spent two days in a rage on the phone trying to talk to someone who deals with customer service stuff right? Not until I officially end the account do I actually get to speak with the one person who finally was direct with me and answered my questions. Hilarious? When I ended the contract the lady was very happy to be done dealing with me instead of trying at all to keep me as a client. After I had ANOTHER ridiculous mistake happen with the front desk girls and was telling her about it she just said " yeah yeah they made another mistake I'm getting you your refund ok?" I told her I was so uncomfortable with how it was all handled that I wanted to know who was above her in case the refund does not go through as promised. She literally said something so snarky and then transferred my call. I was confused and then guess who picked up? THE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER... Im sorry, I have been told 10 times that this person doesn't exist. Literally. We got into it for a minute because I was so horrified that now that I'm not a client I finally get through to a customer service person. I finally explain everything to him and feel like someone is finally listening and cares about me as a client. I was literally begging to talk to that exact person for days. How does this happen? That is terrible business and had I spoken to him earlier I would probably have considered staying. I am happy that I am not continuing with them as one nice person does not make up for how horrible this whole experience has been and I would never trust them with important things like handling your debt. If they can't fix an email address, I don't want to know what else is happening. I am not saying they are a scam, it's legitimate, but they are obviously not able to handle their client load or something. Also, before you sign up for any of these companies look into how it all works. It's not a scam per se but these people can do some SHADY things and when its all said and done and my account already had hidden fees accumulating that I was not aware of. I hope this helps one person not use the law group and maybe not do debt relief at all. I know sometimes we do not have another choice but maybe go with a smaller company or one that can actually take care of you as a customer!

I signed up in Late 2019 and was told once in the program my payments would be made to my creditors once consolidated. Every month for last 2 plus years they have gotten over 600 per month from me and barely got the smallest amount dealt with .My credit was in free fall over 200 points since enrolling. The company just builds up their payment before doing anything for the client. If I didn't want my creditors to get paid would've have stopped paying myself. Helbing takes advantage of people in tough financial situations with lies and deception. I've paid them over $13k abd only about 4k is in my payment account. They should be shut down. I'm glad I have a credit union account I kept paying otherwise my credit would be destroyed because of their genius plan to get my payments going to them instead of my creditors. This is fraud how they operate and after 90 days of no payments all the accounts go into collections so why wouldn't a person talk to collections anyways instead of using Helbing. They talked a big Game but the joke was on me. I've called numerous times to speak to my rep but no return call. The only time I get contacted is an automated message saying your payment will draft in 2 business days. Save your money and think twice before getting involved with them. Theyve cost me thousands and my credit is still crap. They didnt honor their end of the deal!

Similar to the many complaints issued, I was given a 3 year program to settle 8 accounts. I've been paying $481 per month. It's been 2 years (25 months) and only 1 account has been settled. This is only 5% of my total debt. 95% is outstanding. I've received subpoenas to court from creditors. I've paid Helbing $12,050 and for 2 years, no accounts have been settled except for one. They have an app for my account that shows no history of transactions - where my money has gone - what amount in fees, etc. - only an April statement showing I only have $1300 in my escrow account. Where did the $10,750 go? I called many many times over the course of time and speak to generic customer service reps who say I will get a call back. No one calls me. I call again and receive generic responses to my questions with a promise for a call back to get real answers. It's a cycle that continues as they keep deducting my account. No work has been done to settle my accounts, meanwhile the debt balances have grown over time. I am still stuck with this debt they claimed they would help me settle. They have done no work but have taken $12,050. I would like a refund. I'm in a very bad situation and am struggling with this - my situation is much much worse than when I began this program. Please refund me my $12,050 so that I can do all I can to pay down the debt on my own and negotiate with the creditors on my own.

I herd about Helbing Law group through the radio and decided to give them a call because both my cars had broke down and I had just purchase my new home a month before that happened. I was 10,700 in debt to be exact and for 2 yrs I been paying 315.35 I'm supposed to be done by May 2022. And let me tell you that they never contacted me about any creditor trying to settle, it was I who told them I received a letter then they send me an email to "update me" I have got two calls to pay more money to them 2 months ago and today 3/2/22 because the creditors don't want to settle. I am really upset because it has been hard since I am struggling everyday to bring food to the table and was happy this contract was about to be paid out. I was jobless for 9 months but made sure they always got paid on time thanks to my husband. In the beginning they told me they are really good negotiators and Always make sure we pay less then the 40% if not the 40% but now they want kee to make higher payment? Sounds like they need to get better negotiators then and honor the contract that was in placed. But since my contract is close to being over they want me to pay $686 more because tax season is around the corner NO, NO, NO that's not right my kids need so much I have not been able to provide to them and need the help of Complaintsboard.com please help me I still paying off on my two cars and they will are close to being repossessed.

I signed with Helbing Law Group, LLC in 2020 to consolidate my debt and increase my credit report with in the first year i signed with them. That is what they promised me. I was told to stop paying my creditors and upload all the statements. I did comply with everything I was told. My total debt was 17,895.82 dollars. So far I have paid $11,502.15. Initially I had an account specialist that I would call and talk to. The last year and half they have sent the calls to call centers. Now I can't seem to find any-one to talk to they are just a callcenter folks. They just take messages saying someone will get back to me no one ever dose. They let one of my credit card debt go to collection. The collection shows up my on credit report. Its almost three years my credit still is very low. I contacted the creditors they would't speak to me due to the fact I have signed power of attorney to Helbing Law. After many tries i talked someone from the cal center today, to find out the person negotiating for that debit is no longer working with company. However, their is no one to talk to me either he said they will get back to me. If anyone is trying to fix their credit this is not the company to go to. I don't know what to do i have a negative collection on my credit report. I do have the money to pay for it now but I cannot due to fact I have signed power of attorney. The collection agency said they can't talk to me. I need help

I contracted Helbing Law Group in June *** with my credit card debt for $368 per month for a duration of 24 months. I was having financial issues at the time and I was seeking resolutions in order to align my debt and essentially pay off my cards. I understood that HLG would negotiate with *** and *** directly to pay off my credit cards. After a few months I began receiving many correspondence, by mail, email and phone from ALL 3 credit card companies. I was overwhelmed and completely stressed of the possibilities, lawsuits, garnishments etc. I was under the impression that HLG would be making the minimum monthly payment. I notified HLG immediately and they stated that it takes time to negotiate, resolve and or process any debt with these type of companies. A few months later, I spoke to *** and *** they notified me that no one had contacted them regarding any negotiations and or resolutions. I was concerned, stressed and or alarmed once again, with their response. I contacted HLG immediately and they stated they would contact both *** and *** and take care of it.I have expressed my concerns in numerous occasions by emails, phone calls etc. to HLG directly. In February I received a letter regarding an apparent agreement with ***. The amounts of the settlement where completely inaccurate according to my records. I was concerned once again. At this time, my credit and accountability is completely destroyed, my credit cards are unpaid and I see no positive outcome coming from this contract.

I have been using Helbing Law Group since Nov and have spent $600+ for them not to mention another $600+ to the finance company (***). I have yet to have them contact my creditors since I am still getting calls and emails about my accounts being past due. My accounts are about to be charged off with no help from them. When I do talk to my creditors they can only notate my accounts and say that they haven't received any correspondence but that isn't going to last long. I have contacted Helbing on several occasions only to have to wait for a call back and receive that call anywhere from 3 days to a week after. When I do answer upon there return call it always hangs up as soon as I say hello (I have every number saved). The last time I actually talked to someone (about 2 weeks ago) after I had to call *** to assist in calling and transferring me through, they assured me that they have contacted my creditors. But since I am still getting calls and emails I guess that is a lie also. To have been fed a dream of getting my finances settled I feel that I have been railroaded into believing that they could help. I still get automated calls about payments due. I feel stuck in a cocoon that I will never be able to get out of. I'm suffering because of my anxiety dealing with this issue. If there is a solution to help me it would be greatly appreciated so I don't have to be afraid to answer my phone each time it rings. I just wish they would really do there job and at least keep me updated. My rep was/is Jose C and while he was nice I just can't get no response from anyone as to what is going on. Please help! There is a lot more that I could say but at this point Ill just be rambling.

I contacted Helbing Law Group on 10/19 because i got a mail advertising their services. Then i reached out to them to help negotiate a debt consolidation with my creditors. I made an inital payment of $252.29 on Ocober 25th 2021. But subsequently i have had to make 2 payments each month. First $266.47 to equity sales finance & $252.29 to helbing (Totalling $2,327.33) .Before making these payments i was made to believe they would be contacting my creditors "immediately" to negotiate on my behalf and whenever i get these harrassing calls from them i should give them a number (***) to call them on, which i did, but the creditors never gave me any assurance that they would call but instead they keep on telling me no contact has been made with them. I tried calling this number a few weeks ago but never gets to know where because it only rings and noone picks up until it eventually drops. I reached out to Helbing Law Group requesting to know why i they haven't contacted them then they came with a whole different story that i need to wait 3 months for them to get enough money from me to start a bargain . I did just that , and still nothing has changed. The wouldn't give me the contact information to Mr M (My supposed Negotiator) and yesterday i reached out again , only to be told this Negotiator isn't a man but now a woman. Over the past few calls i have noticed some inconsistencies in our conversation and even mentioned wanting to opt out, because my credit score keeps diving deeper since i signed with them. Prior to entering the program i at least paid my minimum required payments to the creditors ,but since they told me to stop doing it because making these payments may complicate issues i had to listen. Now that i am more in a hole than i was 5 months ago, i would like you to help step in.

I am filing a complaint against the Helbing Law Group because the services described to me from the representative were not provided. I entered a contract with this company to settle debt on my behalf. I was told that they would negotiate my debt and contact my creditors. After sending them $652 per month since September 1, 2022 nothing has been done on my behalf. Not one creditor has been contacted and no attempt to even settle any of my debts. Several of my creditors have attempted to contact this company with no response. Helbing Law Group collected a little over $3200 from me and did absolutely no work on my behalf. My credit score is continuing to plummet and I am continuing to receive phone calls from creditors daily. I have been offered settlements however this company even though they have monies have not attempted to pay any of these. Out of all the monies they have collected only $794.00 was put into an escrow account to pay my bills. The rest is being charged in fees for legal representation that has not even occurred. I even asked them, when it is possible to get them on the phone, to share with me proof of any representation they have provided. Of course I have not received that. The representatives are very rude on the phone and talk over you not even listening to your concern. After cancelling the company only sent me $794 of the $3200 they collected from me. I am aware that under federal regulations debt settlement agencies are not to be paid any fees until debt has been settlement on behalf of the client, however they refuse to refund the rest of my money. All of it has been going to their fees. I have requested a full refund as to which the representative responded absolutely not and the $794 is all that I will receive. The monies they are holding from me can be used to settle many of accounts and get many of my accounts back on track. This has been a horrible experience!

I have been a loyal customer of Helbing since 3/5 when I paid $267.93 to start the program. on 3/19 they started taking $271.41 by-weekly up until 12/2 when Leandro P Asst to Erik H closed my acct and graduated me from the program because there were 4 accts that they were unable to settle. I had an escrow balance of $3k+ left that he advised would be sent to me. I called 12/11 & 12/13 to inquire about my refund as I had not received it and was advised it could take up to 30 days. I called 12/17 and 12/21. I received the graduation letter by email and on 12/27 my graduation letter came in the mail but not my refund so I emailed and called asking. I called 12/29; Helbing called me back at 708pm on 12/29. I called twice again and was rudely advised 1/12/22 that the check had been cashed by my bank on 12/13 and that I needed to contact ***. I hung right up and called *** and we were all on the phone with Helbing for over an hour 34mins 4 secs getting the run around only to be told something was suspicious and that a call would have to be returned. I never got a call so I called back 1/19/22 spoke with Robyn L Asst to Erik for 1hr 13mins 33sec who emailed me a copy of the check that she got from a Danielle P 1/14/22 which clearly shows that someone had written pay to a name we could not make out but it was not me and cashed it. I took the emailed check copy to *** 1/28/22. They advised Helbing's bank should have resolved this. From Jan 20th until today 2/1/22 I call and was again blown off and told Robyn was on a call and the notes showed being worked on. Please send my refund Over Night. The address, ssn, email and phone has been constantly checked as accurate. Please please give me my money as I have more than paid enough over these years without issue so to be treated as I am now is disgraceful. Thanks in advance. Supporting Documents attached. I signed up 5 accounts with Helbing Law Group (HLG) and agreed to 1552.00 monthly for 48 months starting in February . So far I paid over 20,000. HLG assured me they worked with my creditors and had a resolution record with each of the companies I listed for 40 to 50%. HLG totally misled me I was told they would make monthly payments to my creditors while working on my settlements. Within a few months I started getting notices from creditors stating late payments. So far 2 creditors have charged off my accounts. I called HLG again requesting a full refund and was told I only have 3000 on account. They aplogized and said that POWER OF Attorneys had not been sent to my creditors but not to worry they would send them out shortly. And, to refer the creditors to them. Which I did. Again, within a few weeks creditors called me and when I informed them HLG represented me. They told me no one from HLG had contacted them. I called HLG many many many times and voiced my disatisfaction. A supervisor a Ms. H told me she would get on my case immediately. Monthly payments would be taking place soon. After a week I Or so went by I again called HLG. This time I was told something totally different. I was told HLG was not sending monthly payments to my creditors. They were waiting until 90 to few months had passed in order to get the creditors in a better mood to settle. I was shocked and told HLG basically they were holding my creditors hostage at the expense of my credit and asked a refund. HLG made some sort of nonsene excuse. Finally, I started asking about where my money was and requested a full refund. HLG lowered the boom on me and said the only balance I had was about 3000. Because they settled with Sears for 2300 and that along with HLG fees only left me an escrow balance of about 3000. And, if I cancel their service I would not get my money back despite requesting closure and a full refund. According to the FTC HLG cannot get fees until they finish.

My name is ***, I have been a client of this firm for several months. The last few months I have had some financial issues due to increased medical bills payments. I have had to have a few of my payments returned to me in order for me to send payments. I have tried to send a few emails but they were always ignored by your firm. Maybe I miss understood what exactly this account setup was all about. I was under the impression that the firm was working for me to correct some of my credit issues. I was informed that the money that was being collected was going into a trust to take care of the bills that I had incurred. I check my credit reports every other day and my credit score had yet to improve. I am very upset and dissatisfied with the service that I have been receiving from your customer service department. I feel that I have been treated as if I owe your firm the money. As if the firm had paid my bills for me upfront. I just wanted you all to know that I will not recommend your firm to any of my family or friends for your assistance. All of your customer service representative need customer service training. I have been working in the field of customer service but over 35 years and I have never in my life treated anyone the way they have been treating me. I am not sure who I need to speak with but I feel that I deserve a full refund of all money sent to your firm because nothing has changed on my credit report. I would like my funds returned in full as soon as possible. I have been paying $332.54 monthly, up until the last few months. I am dealing with several different health problems. When I try to explain this to your customer service department they have treated me as if I was a criminal. In the last few days Ive had to call your firm several different times because I kept getting hung up on. A customer service representative hanging up on a customer should not be tolerated.
