Hallmark Roofing

Hallmark Roofing did our flat roof in January . Long Realty told us to hire them, but they've been a letdown. Normally, a good flat roof job with good materials lasts 3 to 5 years. But it's been about 2 years, and there's cracking and peeling all over the place from the Hallmark elastomeric coating. Hallmark offers a 3-year warranty, but it only counts if water gets inside - and who wants to wait that long? So, I got another roofer to do it right with good materials. They checked the roof and said the problem is three things: 1) They didn't prepare it well, no signs of priming. 2) The elastomeric coating was probably cheap. 3) They didn't let it dry enough between coats. Basically, they did a quick and cheap job that looked good at first but didn't last. Don't hire Hallmark Roofing for repairs or resealing, and be careful with Long Realty's recommendations.

I bought a house in April 2022 and hired Hallmark Roofing for a roof inspection. I paid them $870 for a thorough check. They didn't find any problems. But, in September 2022, the roof started leaking. And guess what? It leaked again in January 2023. I think Hallmark Roofing didn't do a good job inspecting the roof. I've been trying to reach out to them about this issue, but they haven't responded.

We bought a house in 2018 with a roof warranty in case of leaks. The previous owner paid $2052 to have the roof sealed, and it was still under warranty when we noticed water coming through the drywall in our ceiling. We reported the leak to Hallmark Roofing 2.5 weeks before the warranty end date, which was on [protected]. They scheduled an appointment for two days before the expiration date, stating that they would be at the house from 9 am to 12 noon. However, the technician arrived at 12 noon, causing me to miss a day of work. I asked the technician to review the work with me before he left, but he didn't do it and left instead. That night, we had a rainstorm and the same areas leaked again.

I called Hallmark Roofing once more and scheduled another appointment for the following week, even though the warranty had already expired. They didn't fix it correctly the first time. This time, they quoted a time frame of 6 am to 9 am. Once again, I delayed going to work, only to find out that they had forgotten to schedule a technician. The technician wasn't available until 11 or 12, causing me to miss a second day of work. This time, they sent a field supervisor named Anthony, whose number is *** according to his card. During the second attempt, I guided Anthony up the ladder and showed him the cracked and leaking areas, asking him to fix them. Once again, I requested to review the work before he left, but he also didn't do as I asked and left. That evening, it rained again, so I called them once more.

This time, they didn't call me back but instead emailed us, saying that our warranty had expired. They offered to provide a quote for a resurfacing if we were interested. We spent $405k on this home, and the warranty was still in effect when we reported the issue. However, the job was never rectified.
