Great North Visa

I enlisted the aid of Great North Visa over a year ago so that an RCIC (as they indicate on their website) would assist us with the paperwork and the application submission for family sponsorship spousal class. When we arrived in Montreal in 2022 to facilitate the move of our property we were informed by a customs agent with immigration at YUL that there was no visa application submitted on our behalf, even though we paid an additional $3000 to prioritize the submission. This was three months into the process of us supplying all sorts of information and documents. I immediately contacted our Senior account Manager Daniel Kennedy at Great North Visa who became emphatic that border control agents don't have access to visa status. When I asked about proof of submission he stated that there was no way to track the application. Alarmed, I went to the CICC website and discovered Mr. Kennedy is not listed as a credentialed RCIC. He is not even authorized to represent us or submit a visa application on our behalf. I filed a report there. My call to Great North Visa to speak to a supervisor was given lip service. No one called me back to address this issue. The only call I received was from custom relations (Gabriela Daniels) when they discovered I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Immediately I took it upon myself to initiate the family sponsorship process. We filled out copious paperwork, collected fingerprints, police reports and went for biometrics, all processes GNV and Daniel Kennedy failed to address. Clearly we were victims of a scam. Unfortunately my credit card company was swayed by their corporate presentation and has not rendered a refund. They are skilled con artists. Fortunately we are able to live in Canada due to the extensive efforts we made with supplying on our own, all required documents to immigration. Unfortunately over 10K was squandered on GNV. Spare yourself the trauma and the expense by steering clear of these white collar criminals.

Great North Visa (greatnorthvisa.com) is a company that I had a rather unpleasant experience with. They initially charged me a hefty sum of approximately $5000 as an upfront payment. However, to my surprise, a few months later, they attempted to charge me an additional $5000, which was not disclosed or made clear to me beforehand. This unexpected cost caught me off guard and left me feeling deceived.

To make matters worse, when I reached out to voice my concerns and lodge a complaint about the hidden charges, Great North Visa completely cut off communication with me. This lack of response and refusal to address my grievances only added to my frustration and confirmed my suspicions that this company is nothing more than a scam.

It is disheartening to encounter such dishonest practices, especially when seeking assistance with important matters like visa applications. The lack of transparency and the subsequent lack of accountability from Great North Visa has left me feeling cheated and taken advantage of.

Their deceptive practices, hidden charges, and complete disregard for customer complaints make it clear that they cannot be trusted. Save yourself the trouble and seek out a more reputable and reliable visa service provider.
