I've received a letter from "total holding uk limited" regarding to the acceptation of my resume and inviting me for an interview in london, and then they asked me to contact their travel consultant "gold alliance travels ltd, thomas cuthbert", i contacted with the company through the email and they asked the payment of 1000 gbp and i got suspicious, so i started contacting with the real "total " company (Found their details through the official website) , and finally i recognized that the invitation letter is fake! But before these i booked my flight to dubai, i booked an appointment with uk embassy in dubai, and i paid the fees for the visa to uk and i booked my hotel, while the fees for the visa and the embassy are non - refundable and the hotel and the flight ticket charge me for the cancellation. The email signed as below:

Yesterday I had received the same ( word-to word) package of "documents":
first the email from "Total" : hrdept@carriers-totaluk.com,
then the reply to my enquiry from: "Mr. Thomas Cuthbert",

I'm lucky that I have discovered this scam before I have taken any action.
My question: is it so difficult for the police to catch those thieves ?
I have also recieved similar "job offer", here is text in e-mail:
"Dear ...,
Thanks for your interest in the Total UK Family, please note that your resume has been evaluated and you have been shortlisted for Job interview. Please go through the attachment for important details of the invitation.We look forward to seeing you soon.
Regards,
Engr. Daniel McBryant (Mr),
(Human Resource Relation Officer)"
I also have attached documents, same signature - Thomas Cuthbert, Phillipe Webb etc.
Please, anyone, help us put these criminals behind bars! What the police are doing with this?
