I gotta tell ya, I gave Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing more than one star in my review because I had a positive experience with a few of the service boys. But let me tell you, the company itself didn't do right by me. You see, my ol' man passed away and I ended up needing a new system. Now, I'm not a wealthy woman, so I told them straight up that I'm on a fixed income. But wouldn't you know it, after they were done with me, I ended up shelling out 12 grand, and there was always somethin' wrong with their work.

Thing is, all I wanted to do originally was sign up for the twice-a-year service, but then they told me I needed a whole new system. I thought "ok, fine," but then they wouldn't give me the six-month service even though I just bought a brand new AC. I mean, come on now. Back in the day, I got a new system for my 2300 sq ft house down in San Antonio for just $5500, and that was six years ago. Now, I live in a smaller place, just 1800 sq ft, and I had to pay almost double that and I still didn't get the six-month check-up. When I told my friends how much they charged me, they were flabbergasted.

I can't help but feel like they took advantage of me just because I was still reelin' from my husband's passing. But they did finally stop tryin' to make me pay for their Sadie club membership, so I'll give 'em that. Their motto is supposed to be "we do it right, not the easy way," but I'm not sure I believe that anymore. Out of the eight people who came out to work on my system, only Jarod and Carlos were any good. The first group left locks off of my system when the inspector came by, too.

Overall, I'd say there's definitely better services out there if you're in need.

Don't ever consider patronizing Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing (goettl.com), they don't value their customers one bit. Initially they were all sugar and spice, making promises of great customer service during the sale of their Concierge Package, but unfortunately that was the last time I ever received any attention from them..

During my first call to dispatch, I was answered by a dreadfully insensitive and unpolished lady who couldn't even give me a flip of attention.

I had requested for a spring/summer AC revival scheduled for early March, but unfortunately had to cancel due to a family emergency. When I called to reschedule, I was informed the earliest appointment they had available is not until September--even though I had paid for the Concierge Package beforehand.

I had a plumber come in to put in a new water heater and run a gas line to the pool heater in April and requested an estimate, but it took a month for the estimate to be sent and I still have not received the financing information I asked for.

When I raised my concerns with Roscoe, the manager, who reassured me that dispatch would call me to schedule an appointment, nothing happened for two whole days and when I called back to update him, I received no response for a whole six days (I had to call again).

Roscoe made a promise that the Plumbing Manager would meet me at my residence by 1pm on 08/30 to rectify the situation. Sadly it is now past 2 pm, there is still no sign of the Plumbing Manager, nor have I received any phone call. I took half a day off from work to make sure I was around.

This company deserves the award for the most tasteless customer service I've ever experienced. Goettl, a card to my local steakhouse will not make this go away. I'm gone for good.

I used to be a Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing customer but I'm not planning on renewing my service agreement once it expires. Recently, a service person visited my house for a hot water heater service that was part of the package I had purchased. However, during this visit, I was shown an anode rod that needed to be replaced and was frustrated by the fact that there always seems to be additional work that needs to be done that is not covered by my already paid for agreement when a Goettl service person visits.

At first, I said no and asked the service person to put everything back. But, then I thought about it and realized that the tank was empty and the old rod was already removed, so why not replace it with a new one right now? The representative told me that it would be $295 plus tax, even though the flexible aluminum rod the service person had in his hand and was proposing to put in goes for $25.32 at Home Depot.

I was shocked by the price and ended up calling two representatives at the Goettl office to ask how the $300 quote for putting in a new rod could be justified. However, I was disappointed to hear that the quote was correct and that Goettl charges more because of the quality of their work and that the rod would have been guaranteed. But, I already knew that the manufacturer guarantees the rod and it's supposed to deteriorate, that's what it's designed to do.

Overall, I recommend staying away from Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing. It's not worth allowing yourself to be pressured or conned by their "we are family owned and operated good old boys" slogan. Every time I hear their radio ad now, I mutter obscenities under my breath.

I just have to say, my experience with Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing was the best thing since sliced bread. I waited a whole year to get one of their expertly crafted systems, and while it wasn't cheap, it was well worth the wait. Fun fact: Mr. Kenneth Goodrich holds all 114 patents on air conditioning technology and has launched a new fleet of 38 trucks to ensure only the best-trained technicians work on your unit. These folks really put in the work!

I must say, I was floored by their excellent work ethic, from the friendly phone reps to the incredible technicians who came out to install my system - I truly felt like a VIP. That's how they treat you at Goettl.

But what really impressed me was the level of customer service they provided. They went above and beyond by taking back my old unit (which was dead as a doornail, mind you) and even installing a brand new, state-of-the-art garbage disposal in my kitchen. You might be asking, "Why did they do that?" Well, they just wanted to, that's all. How generous is that? And I didn't have to pay a dime.

I'm telling you, these folks know their stuff. They're so good that I've already decided to use them for all my future plumbing needs, even the installation of not one, but two toilets!

Bottom line, I give Goettl 10 stars for all the hard work they put in to make me feel like family. The Smart Thermostat they installed is top of the line, too, but it's too bad my electric company won't give me the $75 rebate because they only accept two brands. (True story).

I truly respect Mr. Goodrich and everything he stands for. His dog Sadie picks his technicians, for Pete's sake! And the company has been thriving since his father started it back in 1939. You really can't go wrong by using Goettl. Shoutout to Roscoe and Shane for an epic job well done!

Oh, and before I forget, they did have to reschedule once due to some computer issues. But no biggie, it all worked out for the best.

Listen, folks, I highly recommend Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing. You won't regret it. Trust me.
