I'm a children's author who's been pretty successful. Today, this other author hit me up, saying she got in touch with Ghostwriting Venture for help with her book. Now, I ain't never worked with these folks before, never even heard of 'em. But get this, they went ahead and used my name as a reference, mentioned my book titles, and told her to check 'em out on Amazon and YouTube. Then, they gave her a phone number to call and talk to me as a reference. So she calls, but the voice on the other end had this heavy accent that didn't match mine from YouTube. So she hits me up on Facebook, asking what the deal is with this company. Turns out, they've been using my name all shady-like as a reference, and then sending customers to some phone number where they get to chat with "me". Can you believe that?

I bought their Services in May - they were supposed to do "Ghostwriting" and publish my book on Amazon. But they didn't really do any Ghostwriting, just mostly checked my already written text. Then, after a few months of silence, they contacted me again in June 2022 - asking for more money - and we started working on finishing the book they supposedly started the previous year but never finished. Over the next few weeks, we exchanged emails, and they assigned me a new Project manager. They also asked for fees for Book 2, but I only gave them $1,250 to "keep the writing team I was currently working with," as they said. However, even after several more months, they still haven't produced a single chapter of written material and have gone silent again. I asked for a refund, as their website promises a 100% money-back guarantee, but they haven't answered my calls or emails. They claim to be in Florida, but their behavior and writing style make me think the writers and people I'm talking to are overseas - maybe in India. (Every phone call has a satellite echo delay, and the way they write suggests English is not their first language.) I'm not sure if this is a very big scam or if this company is even real.

I bought the start-up package from Ghostwriting Venture on 7/16. The invoice number was *** and it cost me $4250. This package was for ghostwriting a memoir, which included planning, completing a 150-200 page book based on an outline, revisions, ISBN & Copyrights, a literary agent, publishing, 3 book formats, ownership rights, a book cover, proofreading, pictures, endorsements, author bio, media attention, and marketing with 100% owner rights. They also offered money-back and satisfaction guarantees. I received a welcome email on Aug 3rd. On August 25th, I requested a refund because the writers were not good and I was overall dissatisfied. We resolved the issue quickly and continued working together. On Sept 30th, David B approached me and suggested that I upgrade my package to the Bestseller option for an extra $3000. The invoice number for this upgrade was ***. It included additional marketing months and publications on various platforms. It also came with an author website, SEO, a social media platform, and a book video trailer on *** and other websites. I have repeatedly asked for changes and refunds. The book was published, but I hate it, so I took it down. I have tried contacting them through their website chats and emails, but they haven't responded. The phone number on their website is no longer working. I have an author website that doesn't meet my requirements, and I can't remove or modify it because they didn't give me the login information as promised. Despite providing them with details and screenshots, they never made the requested changes. They don't answer my emails or phone calls. I even reached out to their associates on LinkedIn, but they didn't respond either.
