Sabrina Bitmayl, store owner of GG Couture & Glitter Girl is one of the most unprofessional and awful people I have ever dealt with in the 8 years I have worked in the fashion industry. I am a designer with my own clothing line.

On February 12, 2009, I was contacted by Sabrina Bitmayl, owner of GG Couture & Glitter Girl. She contacted me interested in meeting and possibly carrying my clothing line in her store. I went there, she placed an order and said she would start with a smaller one to see how it is received in her store. I told her that normally we do not offer the 30 day pay period for new stores and that they usually pay upfront, once that trusted relationship is establishes, then we can give the 30 days to pay on future orders. I told her that we can waive that for her and offer the 30 days to pay, which was a big mistake on my part, and I have definitely learned my lesson. The order she placed was for a total of $1157 including shipping.

She placed the order, 30 days passed and she would not return my calls or emails. Once she did, she said that we agreed that she would pay when the pieces have sold. This is where the lies started. We agreed on the 30 days, and she was trying to get out of it all together. She said she was concerned because not one piece has sold. I talked to her employee the next day that works in the store that most of the pieces have sold and there are only 10 our of 26 left.

Sabrina was irritated that I questioned her integrity and what we agreed on and said that she would send full payment for all the pieces and mailing a check on April 16th.

2 weeks passed, I had not received payment so I called her, left messages, sent emails, she would not get back to me. She would send emails once in a while saying the check must have gotten lost and that she mailed a new one. She said this 4 times now.

Our return policy is 7 business days. 2 months after placing the order I received a package with 10 of the things she ordered, no note, not check enclosed. The pieces were wrinkled, all tags ripped off, stains on some of them and 2 pieces with holes in them.

It has now been over 4 months of dealing with this. She still owes money for most of the pieces that have sold and when I call her, she hangs up on me. When I email, she doesn’t get back to me.

I am at a loss here, dealing with this has been extremely stressful. I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional and full of lies. It’s upsetting that us designers work so hard and get treated like this in return. I am sure I am not the only business owner that has had this happen to her with this particular owner. I just wanted to put it out there so that other people either going in to shop to support this store, or designers about to approach the store will think twice.

I just hope I can resolve this. I have a wedding coming up in a month and have decided to put off dealing with this any further considering it goes nowhere. After the wedding and when things calm down, I will be taking steps to take Sabrina to court and hope that this shows up on her record to send a warning to anyone out there that is either shopping in her store or designers that want to sell in it.

It’s just unfortunate that it has gotten to this point and Sabrina can’t even deal with the situation to resolve it. She is dragging it on and refuses to pay what she owes, not to mention, pay for the damaged items she returned 2 months later. Here is her store information:
