I signed a lease in March and it said I had to pay a certain amount in June. I paid that amount, but now they're saying I owe more because it wasn't the right amount for my rent. I have proof that I only had to pay what was in the lease. They're not very good at keeping track of leases or what tenants owe.

I live in one of their properties for low income and there are many issues they ignore like mold cleanliness and property management. There are structure issues and drugs all over this place. They do not keep the hallways clean, the laundry rooms haven't been cleaned in months, we have no resident manager, nor do we have maintenance on sight anymore. I have been calling and trying to get in contact with these people for months, and no one will call me back. There are people writing profanity on walls, letting their dogs [censored] in the hallways, and leaving bags of garbage everywhere. I try to talk about it with someone, but no one will call me back. They keep sending me these annual recertification notices because I live in low-income apartments, but no one will answer or call back on the phone to finish this. And you can't turn in any paperwork because people steal it right out of the box. I just want to know why they don't care.

I been living at Braham Meadows for a long time now and I gotta say, it was a dump and I was embarrassed to live here. We didn't have a manager on site for a long time so you can imagine what it was like. But in January they hired a manager to live on site and we didn't think she would last 6 months, but here we are 6 months later and she is still going strong and not giving up on us. I never seen someone work so hard as she does every single day. She turned this place around 100? making this place feel like a home that we can be proud of. She knows each and every one of us by name and works hard for us. She does fun things for the kids here like she did a big Easter egg hunt, she delivered a box of chocolates to each apt for Valentine's Day and hand-delivered a beautiful carnation to every mother that lives here for Mother's Day, we never seen that here before. She doesn't judge, she's patient and kind and she works with us and we know that we can go to her about anything big or small and she will make the time to talk. Gaughan did a good thing by hiring Kim and I just really wanted to say thank you, we don't ever want to see her go and I hope Gaughan is taking good care of her because she is taking good care of Gaughan and their tenants. Thank you.

I lived at Westridge Townhomes (unit 892) and my tax lady is trying to file my CRP Rent Credit, but there are many mistakes that need fixing. I've been trying to reach someone at Gaughan Companies for a week and a half now. I left at least 5 messages explaining what needs fixing, but no one has called me back. I need help fixing my CRP so I can file it.

We lived in a townhouse that Gaughan Companies managed. We closed on December 30th and had already moved out. We always paid our HOA online, but they took it out without our permission. We didn't sign up for that! There's a few days grace period to pay, but they didn't follow it. We thought they would send it to the Springcrest Association like they did when we closed on our home in September. We've been contacting them every week to get reimbursed. They said they mailed a check on January 10th, but we never received it. We kept calling and two weeks ago they said they reissued a check, but it still hasn't arrived. We're so tired of this and they need to reimburse us ASAP.

My apartmnt buildin is from gaughan companies and its called Woodland North Apartments in *** Rapids Mn and I am at my wits end with health worry after numerous of complaints to them about my air conditioning. How there is mold in it. Black mold. I went to corporate and they took it to the people in the office after i had already done that. It got nowhere. I am a person with a baby who has become very ill from this mold and i also am a person who has asthma who has also become very ill in the past few wee rom the situation with it too. The only thing they have come with is to spray something which made it worse. Please help me. Im a disabled person and im afraid of retaliation from the apt building and I really need this place to live.

We rented an apartment from Gaughan 5 years ago. We decided to buy a house and told the management. We did the paperwork and cleaned the apartment. We even left some extra blinds there. A few months later, we got a letter saying we didn't give proper notice. They charged us for cleaning, replacing blinds, and painting. We lived there for over a year, so we shouldn't have been charged. We have proof we gave proper notice and pictures of a clean apartment. We were never taken to court. Instead, they sent the claim to a collection agency and told us not to contact them. We haven't done anything in years because we didn't know what to do. We could have fought it in court, but we didn't get a chance. The claim is still out there and is in collections now.

We rented from Gaughan Companies at Forest Park 1 'bout 3 years ago. We moved out after livin' there for 'bout 3 years. We were at our current place for 'bout 3 years too and we decided we wanted to move somewhere else. We applied for a place and my boyfriend got denied. We didn't know what for, he thought maybe a credit card or somethin'. So we tried applying at a different place and he was yet again denied. We found out that he has almost $3000 in damages in collections for this company that we had no clue even existed. These so called damages and outstanding balance is outrageous and totally false. Also, I was on the lease as well and there is nothin' on my credit 'bout this. He was never notified by Gaughan 'bout these so called charges and they sent it to collections. We have also never received anythin' for the collection agency 'bout these charges. We are currently homeless because of his credit. How are you gonna ruin someone's credit and life and never even notified them that you are doin' that. I contacted the manager by text message months after we moved out because I accidently had a packages sent there because I forgot to change my address and she never even mentioned that we apparently had a huge fee they were chargin' us. This needs to get fixed like yesterday because we can not find anywhere to rent with this bogus charge. They also entered our apartment 1 morning while we were sleepin' to check the intercom. No notice and no one even knocked. They just unlocked the door and came right on in.
