Gate.io review: Crypto exchange refusing to follow court order

KAILASA was defrauded of approximately USD 91,000 in gold bought to be offered to the Deities in a Hindu temple. Chief Magistrate ’s Court in Uganda has ordered the scammers’ accounts frozen and a full refund, including damages — yet three months on, the crypto company Gate.io continues to evade the court order and the money is still unrecovered. Meanwhile, on 8 July 2026 the same network was caught by the Uganda Police while attempting to defraud others, with eleven people arrested. KAILASA is working towards the swift arrest of those still at large and the recovery of the money.
