We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the consumer's concern. It is our understanding the consumer is alleging an account owned by GIP, originated by *** (serviced by *** was not opened by him. Due to the public nature of the BBB forum, GIP is advising that Mr. file has been closed in our office. Please also be advised that GIP does not and has not ever reported to the credit bureau reporting agencies. We encourage the consumer to contact GIP may also be reached at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. Galaxy International Purchasing is not being truthful in its response when they stated that they have never reported this inaccurate account to the credit bureaus. This inaccurate account is clearly showing on my credit report. If the inaccurate account wasn't on my credit report It would be no need for me to dispute it. Galaxy International Purchasing is making this subterfuge statement that they have not reported or never reported this inaccurate account to the credit bureaus to avoid contacting the credit reporting agency to have this inaccurate account removed or deleted from my credit file. They fail to mention that they would contact the credit reporting agency in there response. These are the type of games they play on consumer to keep illegally reporting this inaccurate account on my credit report. This is wrong and unlawful behavior by Galaxy International Purchasing. I ask BBB as the governing agency of Galaxy International Purchasing hold them accountable for continuing to cause harm and injury to me by continuing to report this inaccurate and illegal account on my credit reporting. It is our understanding the consumer is alleging GIP is reporting to the credit bureau reporting agencies when GIP has averred it has not. Due to the public nature of the BBB forum, GIP is again advising that Mr. file has been closed in our office. We reiterate that GIP does not and has not ever reported to the credit bureau reporting agencies. We encourage the consumer to contact GIP at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. Regards, *** Consumer Response See attached document*** Galaxy International Purchasing refuses to contact the credit reporting agency *** to have this inaccurate and illegal collection account removed or deleted from my credit file. Galaxy International Purchasing in there last response to my dispute stated that they have never reported to the credit bureaus. Not True. I have provided proof documentation directly from the credit report clearly showing that this inaccurate and illegal account is on my credit file. I am asking once again for Galaxy International Purchasing to contact the credit bureaus and have this inaccurate and illegal account remove or deleted from my credit file. This is my last request to Galaxy International Purchasing contact the credit bureaus immediately to have this inaccurate and illegal account remove or deleted from my credit file before I take legal action. In the event that I have to file legal action against Galaxy International Purchasing I will be asking for punitive damages for damaging my creditworthiness and harm and injury. I am keep very good records of all communications with this dispute with Galaxy International Purchasing. I have state multiple times to Galaxy International Purchasing that I am not the rightful owner of this inaccurate and illegal account. It is our understanding the consumer is alleging GIP is reporting to the credit bureau reporting agencies when GIP has averred it has not. Due to the public nature of the BBB forum, GIP is again advising that Mr. file has been closed in our office. We reiterate that GIP does not and has not ever reported to the credit bureau reporting agencies, and does not control how the credit bureaus report disputed accounts. This is the third response to the same substantive complaint from Mr.. It should also be noted his attachment is corrupted an unable to be opened. We encourage the consumer to contact GIP at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. Alternatively, he may contact the originator of the account at XXX-XXX-XXXX for any credit reporting related questions. Business Response To Whom It May Concern: Galaxy International Purchasing, LLC (hereinafter "GIP") is in receipt of your recent correspondence regarding Ms.. It is our understanding that the consumer is disputing a debt, requesting validation of debt, requesting a cessation of communication, and a request to delete a trade line associated with this debt. This is the first communication that GIP has received from Ms.. Below is a summary of the debt and a response to her complaint. On or around November 11, 2013, Ms. submitted an online application for a *** Credit Card for use at Ideal Image and financed through The ***. The application was instantly approved and she incurred a charge of $1,945 at Ideal Image. See attached online application approval and account statements. She made her first payment on the outstanding balance on or around January 27, 2014 in the amount of $97.25. Ms. made sporadic payments on this account, but the account became delinquent on or around May 2, 2014 and ultimately charged off on December 5, 2014 in the amount of $1,912.04. Ms. last payment on this account was dated October 7, 2019 in the amount of $50. On June 29, 2020 *** sold the remaining outstanding balance of $1,862.04 to Galaxy International Purchasing, LLC. *** notified Ms. of the sale of her account to the e-mail address (***) she provided to the bank for communications. GIP is a passive debt buyer and outsources accounts to 3rd party agencies for collections. GIP placed the account with *** on July 2, 2020 in an effort to collect the balance. On July 7th, *** mailed an initial demand letter to the home address on Ms. final account statement. On July 9th, *** made telephone contact with Ms. to discuss the account. During the conversation, Ms. declined to set up a payment arrangement until she had an opportunity to research the account further. As previously mentioned, this complaint is the first communication GIP has received from Ms.. GIP has provided the requested validation of this account through our response and the attached supporting documents. We will honor her request to restrict further communications, however should Ms. like to discuss this account further or make a payment, she may reach us at ***. Please note that GIP does not report to the credit bureaus nor do we allow 3rd party agencies (***) to report on our behalf. Any trade lines appearing on Ms. credit report regarding this account were not reported by GIP or *** and therefore cannot be removed by GIP or ***. I trust this response will satisfy your request.
