Furnasman Heating and Air Conditioning

Nikki was on time for the appointment to do the annual air conditioning service. She was professional, personable and meticulous. She explained the equipment in simple terms and gave us some useful tips. I would highly recommend Nikki and would ask for her to do the fall furnace service. I also highly recommend Furnasman and have used their service for many years.

On January 25, my furnace was not working so I called Furnasman Heating and Air Conditioning to come and repair it. When the technician arrived and he diagnosed the furnace, he told my nephew that we needed a new furnace and my electric furnace parts were too old. It would cost too much to rebuild and it was best to buy a new furnace. I asked him about installing a new sequencer that we bought. The technician said it would not work even if he did install it. In addition, the best thing for us to do was to buy a new furnace. So I called the office for an appointment to make arrangements to purchase a new furnace. In addition, the technician left without doing any repairs. On January 26 Robert *** arrived from Furnasman Heating and Air Conditioning and tried to sell us a new gas furnace and water tank. We informed him we were getting two more quotes before we decided on purchasing a new furnace. At that point we contacted another company to come and diagnose the furnace. The technician from the other company said, all we needed was to install the sequencer and there was nothing wrong with the furnace and we did not need a new one. He said we could upgrade the furnace and getting new parts for that particular furnace in the city won't be a problem. The technician installed the sequencer and it works. In addition, the other company said the same thing as the technician from the previous company. I had to pay the other company $234.08 to fix my furnace. However, I am not going to pay Furnasman Heating and Air Conditioning $156.78 for doing nothing. Thank you, Roger.

Jeff showed up on time (earlier than expected) for my annual heat maintenance service, which was great! Did his thing going through every item on the maintenance checklist, made notes where needed, and asked if I had any questions, issues or concerns about the system. A friendly guy, very professional, and gave what I would consider an overall great service. Thanks Jeff!

Recently had my furnace replaced and my ducts cleaned by Furnasman. All the employees from the secretary who made the appointments to the installers and duct cleaners were friendly, professional and conscientious. My only complaint, is the rather large hole that was cut into the stucco (to accommodate the slightly larger pipe), which I will now have to pay to get repaired.

I literally stopped Nikki while she was sitting in her van after servicing a neighbour's ac to see if she had time to check mine! She was kind, courteous and accommodating. After checking out my ac , she provided both short and long term strategies to assist my aging furnace and ac to work at its best. I was very impressed with both her knowledge and excellent customer service!

Had a service repair technician come to our house. They advised us that we needed a $1500 part that wouldn't be available for a week, leaving us without heat. They also suggested getting a new furnace.

Afterwards, a salesperson was sent to our house who tried to convince us to spend anywhere from $7000 to $20,000.

I strongly disagree with this recommendation.

Today, I called another business to get a second opinion.

And guess what? We actually don't need anything! No part and no new furnace required.

Overall, my experience with Furnasman Heating and Air Conditioning was extremely disappointing.

The technician was on time as promised. Before he started he explained the cost and offered an alternative to replace the condensate pump on the furnace. He suggested to install the replacement pump in a safer location which was away from foot traffic. He also gave the furnace a quick check as well and cleaned the flame sensor which was not expected. I would certainly want to have Eric back if I my furnace needs additional service in the future.

I was reading the review ratings below and was not at all surprised by the accolades Shaun.S received. He is my all time favourite Furnace man inspector. He sorts outs any issues and explains a concern in such a way that I can fully understand the problem. I trust his advise and follow up with his suggestions which have never failed and given me peace of mind. Thanks Shaun, for your your expertise and the down-to-earth service you provide each time. A technician from Furnaceman serviced my air conditioner this morning. The tech is Shaun C. He has been to our house before. He knows his stuff & goes the "extra mile" to ensure customer satisfaction with some helpful hints for me as well. He went well beyond the service I had expected. Overall, very satisfied with his work & my contact with their office as well. When I call in the fall I will be requesting Shaun C as the tech I want to service my furnace.

Today we met Nikki she was very polite, knowledgeable and very thorough with her servicing of the furnace and air conditioner.
After purchasing the Protection Plan today .. I asked for Nikki to be our service person. She explained everything in detail, it turns out she was one of the techs who installed our furnace and air conditioner 3 years ago.
I would highly recommend her .. a great job done !
We have our next inspection scheduled for 12Jan2023 .

I contacted Furnasman because my air conditioning was not blowing cold air. They sent their technician Shaun S. He phoned in advance and arrived on time. He was very professional and followed all safety protocols. Shaun clearly explained what the problem was and patiently answered all my questions as to what would be required to repair the problem. He was courteous and very competent. I highly recommend Shaun S. and his company for any work needed on furnaces and air conditioners.

We recently had Furnasman replace our furnace and A/C that was at the end of if lifespan. The entire experience from the initial service call, to the sales, to the installation was overwhelmingly positive. We were extremely impressed with the team of Nigel and Tony who completed the installation. Their service, professionalism, knowledge, expertise and advice with the products were first class. We highly recommend choosing Furnasman to anyone looking for a furnace, A/C, and other products they sell and service.

Excellent service. Expert diagnosis and repair. Very knowledgeable and thorough. This service call was reasonably priced. A previous company reported to me that the ac system needed to be replaced at $5000 plus. This call was $550 which included diagnosis of multiple faults their repair and a new thermostat install. A non proprietary thermostat was installed instead of the $1000 name brand one that failed. Shaun Smith, the technician, went above and beyond expectations. Can not emphasize enough how pleased I am.

I had furnaceman attend our residence as our AC stopped working on Sunday. When I called to book an appointment, I thought I would have to wait a couple of days, to my surprise I was able to schedule a repairman for the following morning at 8:00 AM. The service man called at 8:15 AM and said he would be over in a half hour, 20 minutes he was there and did our repair. Eric (the service man) was pleasant, polite and efficient. I am so happy with Furnasman's service, will definitely use them again should I have any issues.

Nikki arrived ahead of the call from the office for our annual furnace check (talk about a keener)! She was already masked up and ready to get to work upon entry to our home. Nikki was thorough and professional with a friendly and approachable demeanor. When she was done, Nikki explained everything and answered my questions. She even let me know that she took the time to relight our water heater pilot (as she thought to check it after she finished vacuuming around our furnace). It's nice to have someone who is so proactive and detail oriented. I would highly recommend Nikki and have requested for her to do our AC check in the spring.

Nikki arrived early in the appointment window, after calling ahead with an estimated arrival, arrived properly masked, and was professional, thorough, and friendly throughout the appointment. She not only did a thorough maintenance/cleaning/inspection of the packaged furnace and vents, but took the time to explain what she was doing and answer my questions. As I am new to electric heat and the type of system I have, I very much appreciated her patience, thoroughness and knowledge. I highly recommend her and will request her when it is time to service my A/C in the spring. She is an excellent technician and representative for Furnasman!
