You can't excel in graphics, social media, lead generation, product development etc. at the same time. This is why you should work with freelancers.

At FreeeUp, I found a highly talented product image/rendering freelancer at an excellent rate. But this was not the best feature, at least for me. The best thing for me is that FreeeUp saves me a lot of time for two reasons:
First, they already tests the English skills of the freelancers. I've wasted countless hours on other platforms, screening the freelancers just to find out that their "fluent English skills" were conversational at best.
Second, you don't get bombarded with dozens of "Give me the job"-kind of applications to your job but only people who are really qualified. Again, huge time saver.

FreeeUp is an awesome marketplace for freelancers that already saved a lot of hours and I highly recommend it. It's a great place to find skilled freelancers who can help you with various aspects of your business. The best part is that they make sure the freelancers have good English skills, so you don't have to waste time trying to communicate with someone who can't understand you properly.

Pros:
- You don't have to pay to apply for a job.

Cons:
- Low hourly rates available, very few offers with rates above $15 per hour.

- Very few offers available.

- Very long interview process. Overall, it might take hours to go through their chats, videocalls, etc. But then 99.9% of the clients are not being serious about offering a job and most of them are not even legit, most of them are startups or sidehustlers. They almost never come back to you or it takes them so long to "think about it", that when they do come back, you're already busy with other projects (that you received from other, more trustworthy platforms). Overall, it takes so much time to just go through this interview process, that it's not even worth the effort.

- I've been using this platform for over two years with zero complains from my clients. Then all of the sudden they simply blocked my access without even notifying me in advance. They explained to me, that because I have a Russian passport, they have to stop working with me out of fear of further sanctions from the US government, etc. etc. Even though I don't even live in Russia! They answered me that in order to stay on the platform, I will have to submit an application using an ID of a different country. Like, seriously? Are you really asking me to change my citizenship just to stay on your platform? Their email to me was full of hypocrisy and discrimination.

Overall, I would not recommend this platform to anyone. There are far better platforms out there.

I've been workin' as a freelance copywriter for a good ol' 20 years, makin' words come alive on the page. Gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed with my experience on FreeUp. Been on there for 'bout three months now, hopin' to find some legit clients to work with. But lemme tell ya, it's been a real letdown.

I ain't kiddin' ya when I say that every single client I've come across on FreeUp has been a total flake or a no-show. I mean, seriously, ALL of 'em! Can ya believe it? It's got me thinkin' that maybe this whole FreeUp thing is just a big ol' scam. Like one of them fake-it-til-you-make-it kinda startups. Reminds me of that Theranos mess, ya know?

Now, I ain't one to jump to conclusions, but this here experience has got me questionin' the authenticity of FreeUp. I've got a solid portfolio and years of experience under my belt, so I reckon I should be attractin' some decent clients. But it seems like all I'm attractin' are these flaky folks who ain't serious 'bout gettin' quality copy.

I was hopin' FreeUp would be a platform where I could connect with real clients who appreciate good writin'. But it's been a real struggle, I tell ya. Ain't nothin' worse than wastin' time on folks who ain't serious 'bout their projects.

So, if you're lookin' for a reliable platform to find legit clients, I reckon FreeUp might not be the best bet. I'm still holdin' out hope that things might turn 'round, but for now, I'm feelin' mighty disappointed. Guess it's back to the ol' grind for this freelance copywriter.
