Fast Track Auction Bad customer service, inaccurate auction item descriptions, dirty and disorganized facilities

What a horrible way to run a business! I did not renew my Bidfta account due to re-occurring FTA problems I had with FTA staff restricting my paid items pickup times & would not forward my pickup time requests to people running "Independent auctions". I was given conflicting information by FTA staff because FTA rules and regulations are not enforced equally by FTA Staff. FTA staff do not return customer telephone calls regarding problems with FTA. The FTA hassles I experienced are simply not worth my time to save a few bucks where FTA is unwilling to adapt to customers needs or requests & communicate with customers. FTA Problem 1.) Crowded parking, dirty & disorganized warehouse at McMann Rd. in Batavia, OH zipcode, employee staff that can be rude/uninterested in helping customers and seem overworked. FTA limits & restricts customer pickup day/ times on weekdays to before 4:00PM, which makes arrival times from full-time work difficult at best. If you don't pickup paid items by end of the week the auction ended, items can be resold, disposed of, or donated by FTA to another person/business with no refund to Buyer. FTA Problem 2.) FTA uses Online auctions with brand new OEM pics where most do not show the actual used/returned items which can be damaged or incomplete. FTA does not guarantee online pics match actual items being sold. FTA claims Bidders must view actual auction items at the warehouse while bidding before the auction close, despite OEM pics shown. Note: Items sold by FTA in auctions must match auction text description (not pics), otherwise FTA probably violates the federal Fair Credit Act since winning Buyer's credit cards are auto-billed after the auction. FTA claims Buyer has to complain and rescind transaction before pickup deadline and before items are removed by the Buyer from Warehouse. FTA Problem 3.) I simply do not have the time or interest to manually look through each individual auction picture in the Cincinnati/Dayton region to see if there are any FTA auction items I want to bid on. FTA runs daily auctions at multiple locations that are organized poorly because each auction has a wide mix of items that are randomly listed with general or incomplete descriptions and are hard to search effectively. FTA Online Auctions mostly have no central focus or theme and have no item groupings by general type or function other than auction location. FTA Online website searches with keywords often fail to work correctly because search terms are difficult to reset for new searches and each FTA location often does not use the same search keywords to describe the same auction items.

FTA business practices are starting to change and improve, while public safety measures are being increased... I wonder if FTA has learned that ignoring public and government concerns about unsafe business operations and procedures can cause increased company expenses to ensure full legal compliance.

In fact, FTA was apparently cited for local fire code and safety concerns or violations several times in 2015-16 by the local Fire Chief and Fire Marshall for Union Township. FTA was supposedly inspected and possibly cited for the following alleged fire code violations around the 4th of July and Thanksgiving Holidays that may include:
1.) overcrowded parking lots that could not enable Fire Trucks to have quick access in case of an emergency,
2.) an over-packed, dimly lit, and cluttered warehouse with flammable paper packaging boxes or large items placement blocking crowded isles that create hazardous safety conditions,
3.) too many employees and customers people allowed entrance at the same time within the warehouse and caused a fire safety evacuation hazard in case of a fire or disaster,
4.) insufficient placement or lack of adequate fire exit signs,
5.) unconfirmed rumors that some fire exit doors were locked for company security to prevent unauthorized building access or theft

The local Fire Marshall and Staff now complete regular unannounced inspections at McMann Rd and FTA had to address these concerns and possible citations by:
1a.) requiring customer traffic to enter/exit the warehouse on the opposite side of the building where there is more open physical space for parking.
2a.) cluttered warehouse isles were cleaned up, better lighting installed and large overhead racks removed for customer access and safety while customer pick ups were moved to a more open area in the Warehouse. FTA reduced the amount of auction items stored and sold at McMann Rd and expanded to multiple warehouse locations in Cincinnati to address the Fire Marshall's concerns. However despite improvements at McMann Rd., some other FTA franchise locations continue to have the same types of problems. It is not known if other Fire Marshalls are aware of safety concerns with these other FTA locations.
3a.) The McMann Rd Warehouse now has an admission limit set by the Fire Marshal to a maximum of 250 people within the Warehouse Building at any given time. FTA Senior Management offices have apparently moved out of this Warehouse to another location.
4a.) Visible placement of Fire and Exit Signs for public and employee safety are now in place.
5a.) Internal Locks and chains on locked Fire Exits Doors were removed in the past few years.

IMHO, FTA only made these changes when public complaints were filed with local Fire Department and investigated by the Fire Marshall. The safety of FTA Employees, Staff, and Consumers should not be reduced or ignored when a Company takes no action on these concerns solely to make more profit.

Below is conversation I had on the Chat with a FTA employee. Buyer Beware! Better go in person and check everything out closely! When it says Appears New, it may be new, but it is probably missing a lot of pieces! The greenhouse in question below is missing 6 boxes, but they picture a complete greenhouse, and tell you it Appears New! See Chat conversation below:

On Auction 869 I noticed the item SY561331 the green house says appears new but I noticed there is only a picture of one box. I called the manufacturer for that item and they say it should be 7 boxes. Wanted to let you know so you can change the description or let the current bidders know so they don't waste their money

Hi and thank you for letting us know. Actually, we typically sell multi box items one box at a time because of the way we receive items. You did the right thing by researching. Thats what we want you to do.

So people thinking they are getting a green house complete, appears new, actually have no idea that there should be 6 more boxes and when those boxes might even be up for auction?

Our bidders who have read and understand our terms and know what we sell know to preview items before bidding. We dont sell retail new items and we list all of our terms and policies in the Auction Details page of every auction.

Bike advertised as woman's, , actually a man's bike, no seat or pedals. Tough luck, no refund. The other $110 that I spent was on broken stuff, clearly of no value. All of it should have junked.
They started out good at the Riverview Ave. in Dayton, OH, now on Moses Blvd it is bad---------------

They have gotten downright liers about the way they decribe items.i bought a 1 pc.toilet yesterday that said open box see other pictures the other pictures showed a new toilet then I guess the one I bought box which had been taped up.all they had to do was look in the box to see it was broken on the rimthese people are very deceetful .There is no wonder why they are having to close lots of there branches.

FTA Springdale AR.: Junk Junk and more Junk is what they sell I got hooked for a $100.00 for pure junk listed as looks new got it home I've seen better stuff in a junk yard. I will never use there site again. Thanks Sucker is Right

I agree completely, FTA practices deceitful business tactics evidenced by deliberate and misleading item descriptions, and blatant misrepresentation of actual items. Their shady successes does seem to be prolific at the moment. Perhaps those fooled into falling for the cheap scam feel too ashamed of falling victim, to shed light on the loads of junk, broken, missing parts, and bait and switch items. Eventually all the negative reviews will resonate loudly enough to warn potential victims...buy at your own risk, literally means "thanks sucker!"

Fast Track Auction Scam

Had major dispute over multiple bidding actions with Fast Track Auction(FTA) and contacted the NAA which they post on their website. NAA said they have not paid their dues. Shortly later FTA does pay them after the fact. Contacted the BBB and filed complaint. The BBB closed the complaint on their own without any help. Contacted Attorney General for Ohio and found anybody can open an online auction site. Last chance I had to was to involve the American Arbitration Association which FTA says you have to go through. The AAA charged me $500 to file this claim so after a while I finally gave up. Lesson - That is what FTA planned all the time. Owner Mr. Carmen Donsante beware - not me but somebody will catch up to you.
