Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee Auto claim

At a local restaurant, I was backing out of my parking space when a man in the drive-through line put it in reverse, backed out of the drive-thru and then backed over 100 feet down the 2-way space between aisles (on the wrong wide of the road) and hit the side of my car. The officer clearly said this driver was at fault, a witness saw this, the report clearly states the car backed out of a drive-thru line, yet farm bureau wants to say i'm at fault and I can pay my deductible because I was in reverse! A drive-thru is one-way. Who backs out of a drive-thru legally! Farm bureau's claim agent refused to back down when I pointed out the traffic report says he backed out of a drive-thru and even said if someone backs down a one way street and hits someone who is backing out of a drive, then both are at fault! What world does this agent live in! Could it be both drivers are insured with farm bureau and this is a way to squeeze more money out of an innocent driver! Farm bureau does not have your back! They are wrong and they know it. They just do not care.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee homeowner's policy

On April 16, 2018, two weeks before she and her two daughters were scheduled to move in, Hope Elrod's NEWLY CONSTRUCTED home burned down. She paid for the home with cash (her husband's life insurance proceeds). Five months have gone by and Farm Bureau has not approved or denied the claim. They are just continuing to investigate, but they haven't talked to anybody on our street and the house is just sitting there.

Hope and her lawyer made a web site called - http://www.myfarmbureaunightmare.com telling her story and asking for public help. Please visit the site. If you know anything about this fire, please contact her and let her know!

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee homeowners policy

Hope Elrod's house burned to the ground on April 16, 2018.
Two weeks before she and her kids were set to move in.
Although the fire site is completely exposed to the elements, Farm Bureau continues to "investigate, " has neither approved nor denied Hope's claim, and has refused to pay for the cleanup.
According to the video on this web site, myfarmbureaunightmare.com, she paid for the house in cash.
Ridiculous.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee insurance claim for theft

My garage was broken into on October 20, 2016 while I was out of town. I have had insurance with Farm Bureau for 22 years which included 2 homes and 2 vehicles. It took me a little while to submit the property loss forms due to personal/marital problems. I submitted them in January. In the meantime, my husband of 20 years took his life on December 30, 2016 with a .357 magnum in our front yard while I was there. Farm Bureau requires me to make a statement under oath, which I had no problem doing. While being questioned, like a common criminal I might add, the attorney representing Farm Bureau continued to badger me regarding my husband's suicide which has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ROBBERY. Now Farm Bureau refuses to renew my homeowner's policy when it came up for renewal in March. No insurance company will insure me as long as I have a claim pending. So, not only have they been dragging their feet on the claim but they put me in jeopardy of losing my home, which is all I have left. I cannot get any help from any government agency either. I suspect Farm Bureau has them all in their pocket.

I SUGGEST IF YOU ARE ANTICIPATING USING FARM BUREAU FOR YOUR INSURANCE, YOU DON'T WALK, BUT RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION! They don't care who you are or what your circumstances, they only care about two things. GREED AND MONEY which go hand in hand.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee homeowners insurance claim

We had a storm come through here about 2 months ago, and I filed a claim 90% of my roof have been affected and partially destroyed. However, the claims adjuster as well as a manager state that only 75% of my roof will be repaired as the other side, which was clearly damage from wind at the seals were broken from the shingles, black creases in them and therefore were not covered. After the deductible of $1, 000, and the depreciation of $500 equaling a $1, 500 deductible, they are paying for 75% of my roof. They will not budge, stating that they cannot prove that this damage was caused by the past wind storm. They told me I was welcome to take my business elsewhere, as I explained to them I will see them under the good faith Clause established in the eighties by Ronald Reagan. The supervisor said that was fine, and I have the right to do what I want to do it. The claims adjuster call me back stating that they were going to send the engineer out here, which caused a fact about the amount I was asking for to repair the remainder of the roof 1, 300 to $1, 500. I stated just give that money to me and we'll be fine comma as an engineer will not prove anything other than the seals are loose. Insurance is supposed to protect you, that is all. Now they want me to go around with three sides of my house all different colors? I thought the whole name of the game with home insurance is protecting the value of your house, not devalue your property. I'm sending this to my attorney, and I will be taking this to court as well as bringing the property assessor on boared. Stay away from Tennessee Farm Bureau Insurance!

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee insurance

On 6/26/16 Sunday, my daughter was involved in a wreck. A witness that was behind my daughter at the stop sign stated my daughter stopped and then proceeded thru the intersection when the truck hit her and spun her car around. The driver of the truck then drove on the sidewalk running over several flower pots and then coming to a stop about a block later. The truck was traveling in a 15 mph zone. The witness said that the truck was speeding.

On 6/27/16 Monday, I reported to my insurance about the wreck. About two hours later, the claim adjuster called me and said he would be handling it.
7/5/16, Haven't heard a word from the insurance so I call them. They claim my daughter failed to stop at a stop sign and it was her fault. I asked if they had spoken to the witness and they stated they couldn't get a hold of the witness. Later that night, I got a hold of the witness and she said the insurance had not contacted her.
7/6/16 I call the insurance co and tell them I spoke to the witness and for them to call her. Never hear back from them that day
7/7/16 I called the insurance co and set up a 3 way call between me and the witness and them. Insurance co said they would contact me in a business day or two
7/12/16 I called insurance, they had just received the transcript and he was getting with his supervisor in this matter
7/13/16 They ruled it my daughters fault

I have attached two pictures. The first is the speed limit sign the other is my daughters vehicle that was struck in a 15mph zone.

Who's insurance? Your daughter or the other party? The other party has no vested interest in your daughter ad they will fight for their client. Did the police give a report and decide it was your daughter's fault? Or did no one call the police? Did the police not talk to the cops? Without a police report, you have no real proof of fault.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee Doesn't take responsibility for their drivers action

Farm Bureau insurance company doesn't take responsibility for their drivers actions and doesn't pay claims. On November 3, 2006 my 2002 F-150 was legally parked at the parking lot of a country store. My husband was inside eating his breakfast. This 19 year old girl who is insured by Farm Bureau came around the corner and down the hill. She lost control of her 1999 Mazda Protege and slammed into the back of my parked F-150. She totaled her car and pushed my F150 8 feet. I have a big F150 that has a rear seat. I went and got 3 estimates and had my husband take them to the local Farm Bureau claims office. My husband was told that they weren't going to pay my claim and that they weren't responsible for hitting my truck. They wouldn't take any of the estimates nor would they give me a denial letter. I had to request on at least 4 separate occasions for a denial letter and was told that they told me verbally. Finally after Farm Bureau was notified by my insurance company that they were handling it for me magically a denial letter was sent to me.It is my opinion that they were waiting to send the denial letter to see if I was going to hire an attorney on my own.I spoke with Farm Bureau's district claims manager on Nov. 17, 2006 was told that hopefully all the witnesses of the accident had been interviewed . He advised me if their driver was at fault they would take care of my claim. As of today June 6, 2008 my claim still hasn't been paid for by Farm Bureau. On Nov. 17, 2006 I was contacted by Farm Bureaus District Claims manager again and was told that they weren't going to pay for my damages that their driver was put in an emergency situation so basically what they were saying was it was ok for their driver to hit my vehicle. The country store sits on a crossroad and Farm Bureau is trying to say that someone pulled out in front of her and caused her to hit my truck. What is very interesting is that I have 1 witness saying that it isn't true and another witness who is an insurance agent for Farm Bureau saying that this man pulled right out in front of her and what their driver did was right to hit my truck. So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who is lying in this mess. I advised Farm Bureau's district claims manager that they hit my truck and they needed to pay my claim because they were responsible. The district claims manager started yelling at me telling me no they weren't responsible. I told him that my insurance company said that they were at fault. The district claims manager screamed at me to tell my insurance company to Bring it on. I advised him that I would be contacting an attorney and his response was to Bring it on they had lawyers too. I handed the phone to my father who advised Farm Bureau that they needed to pay for my damages to my truck and if Farm Bureau wanted to try and go after someone else then that was their business. When my father got on the phone with the district claims manager his whole attitude changed he didn't scream and yell at my dad. So I don't know if he thought he could try and scare me because I was a woman but it sure didn't work. It just made me want to tell everyone all about Farm Bureau. I have filed a complain with the state of Tennessee Insurance Board as well as a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I spoke with Farm Bureau yesterday and was transfered immediatly to their district claims manager who stated that they still wouldn't pay for my damages. It is my opinion that Farm Bureaus insured driver was speeding and overreacted. Farm Bureau is bad news and shouldn't be allowed to sell insurance in the state of Tennessee!

On June 6th 2014 We had a high wind storm hit our home. It removed 80% of the shingles on the roof and the ridge vents. We immediately called Farm Bureau and the adjusters office. They said they would be out the next day. I took off from work and had a contractor come and clean up the mess and tarp my roof while also waiting on the adjuster to show up. He never showed. The next day I called him back and he said he was in the area and would be out that afternoon. He never showed. I called him that afternoon and he said he would be out the following morning. I took a 3rd day off from work. Finally he showed up at 3 pm that afternoon. He looked over the damage both outside and inside and said he would have the claim settled in 3 to 4 days. That was 3 weeks ago. In the mean time we had more high winds and heavy rains and the tarps have began to leak as they are not meant to be a permanent fix to any roof. We now have even more damage to our home. If anyone is reading this please please please avoid Tennessee Farm Bureau insurance and avoid their agent Paul Smith of Maynardville Tennessee. Farm Bureau insurance is a scam

I agree that Farm Bureau of Tennessee has to be the worst insurance company in the world. One of their policyholders passed me and just as his vehicle got by me his driveshaft blew up and the universal joint came back and hit my windshield. I got one of their agents on the phone. He did not dispute the facts of the case because the other driver did report it. However, this pompous ### said they weren't liable because their policyholder wasn't negligent because how did he know he was about to have a serious mechanical failure. As far as their commercials go, Charlie doesn't know jack[censored].

This doesn't surprise me at all! We had TFB and substained damage to our roof during a bad hail storm in 2007 that left marks on our deck and beat the crap out of our roof shingles washing all kinds of pieces of roof down all around the house... Anyway long story short we took our claim all the way to the district claims guy for TN. They claimed the damage was due to foot traffic! I'm not kidding! They refused to pay... even though neighbors all around us substained damage and got new roofs. You wouldn't believe all the BS they gave us... even saying that it was possible we were in a pocket that didn't recieve hail even though I was home at the time and told them we had huge hail... I warn everyone I can away from this company!

I was looking to buy insurance for my house and car with Tennessee Farm Bureau. Your comments and the comments of other insured people have put me off completely. I will stay with my present insurer. Better to pay a few more dollars and know that you will have your claim settled promptly. That's why we buy insurance. And I will pray that I never get in an accident with a TFB insured person.
