Farescan Farescan HOAX!

If I could leave negative stars I would! Super scam! Sent me a confirmation code, but they never booked flight. When I called to determine what the issues was, they hung up on me, and hung up on me the 7 subsequent calls I tried to make. Don’t trust Kayak either— they referred me to Farescan. Look up their horrible reviews! Don’t get duped like we were!

Farescan This is a scam!

This is a scam! Do NOT book through them. After booking a fight, I received an email saying my credit card was declined. I booked through a competitor (no problem with my card). Then I received an email saying my flight was booked and non-refundable. I called and they said they would refund half my money in 2-3 months. After a shouting match with them, I received an email saying I would be refunded 100% in 2-3 months. We'll see if that happens.

I spoke with them many times and was not getting my money back, they do not care.Then I called my credit card company (Bank) and asked to FILE A DISPUTE formally against Farescan / ***.Once the dispute started officially with the Bank, I GOT MY MONEY back in 10 days. Do not delay and file a dispute with credit card company ASAP; it's the ONLY way to get a refund.

This is quite possibly the worst Reseller of Airline tickets. The seat fees listed are surcharged and there are hidden fees please all overThe seat fees listed are surcharged and there are hidden fees please all over. I will never use this service again and their customer service has a lot to be desired. One example is that I reserve seats for $5 it came back at $59. They also push a subscription to a service called unpub Which is a scam in and of itself. Don't do it do not buy from these guys.

Worst experience ever with booking airline tickets through Farescan. Kayak should remove them from their platform. Farescan sold me airfare and hotel tickets and because of pandemic we were never able to fly and never got any help with a refund for this from farescan. Ive tried to communicate with them in many cases, also tried to contact someone in charge to help me but no one has ever called me like they promised to help. I lost out more than $1300 and they are a *** company!

I only gave 1 star since 0 was not an option. FairSCAM should be their name. They not only took my money for a canceled flight but they also kept the refund Spirit tried to send me. Multiple calls only led to lies from FS customer service saying refund is in process . I honestly dont know why they are still in business? I request ComplaintsBoard.com to do an investigation.ST

The worst company I've dealt with. The agents are rude and unprofessional. I bought a $20 protection cause it said I could cancel and get a full refund with 24 hours. but apparently that's not the case. Company is utterly fraudulent. They have a bunch of indian men on the other end who do not have any kind of professionalism whatsoever. They can't even speak politely. They couldn't even connect me to a supervisor. This is honestly the worst ever company, please be *** and do not do business with them.

I wish I had investigated Farescan on this site before I was scammed out of $1,391.55 for flights in July that had already been cancelled back in March. I was told by the person "***" at Farescan 1-the e-tickets were not valid and that I should accept a partial refund. I wish companies such as this one could be shut down.This company is dishonest and corrupt.

Farescan agency is a scam and should not be used. They will take your money, charge you extra that something came up with the bookings, and then pay the airline with their own card. My flight was later canceled by the airline, while waiting to board. But right in my presence, a refund was issued on the spot right in my presence by the airline. Only for me to discover that farescan used their own card to pay, and the refund went to them instead of my own card. It's been 4 weeks later, and I'm yet to recieve a refund. They've been lying claiming the airline hasn't refunded them. Everyone I knew that booked with the airline directly got their money refunded within less than 48 hours. Do not use farescan

Stay Away! I had booked a ticket with them. The airline cancelled the flights due to Covid and they were giving a full refund. Farescan would charge me a $300 cancellation fee even though I was not the one cancelling. Then they offered an exchange flight but would charge me $300 extra! Stay away, scam artists!

Farescan I bought an air ticket through Farescan

I bought an air ticket through Farescan. As it is an economic ticket, cargo luggage was not included. The rep (Maverick) tried to charge me $ 185 to add a bag (23 kg). It seemed like an excessive price, so I called the airline directly, where they told me that the price is only $ 30 + taxes and is only paid at the airport. The representative of Farescant tried to scam me and the worst thing is that I tried to speak with a manager to report and did not succeed. I just want to warn other buyers of the way this company works. Be careful!

WE ENEDED UP BOOKING DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE. THE NEXT DAY WE GET AN EMAIL FROM "FARESCAM" FARESCAN THAT OUR FLIGHT WAS BOOKED FOR $155. THEY CHARGED US WITHOUT OUR CONSENT FOR MORE THEN QUOTED. WE WERE DOUBLE BOOKED BECAUSE OF THESE AMATEURS. IT WAS A HEADACHD GETTING OUR REFUND WHICH IS STILL PROCESSING. AND THEY SAY 7-14 DAYS. WHAT COMPANY TAKES THAT LONG TO REFUND?!?!?

It has been 10 months I have been trying to get the refund from the ticket i purchased to fly internationally and this is the most irresponsible company i have ever worked with. They told me Turkish Airlines is busy and refunding the money in 2 sequences of even amounts. I have received only half of the ticket and now waiting on the other half and have been emailing them about my due amount for the past 7 months and i keep getting the same generalized emails of let me contact our "concern department". I will never use this third party source as a way of purchasing any of my tickets.

Booking a trip to Turkey via FareScan was a horror show! Prior to COVID, our friends booked directly with Turkish Airlines and paid $420 less than I did via FareScan. I just rebooked today at an added cost to me of $267, which they couldn't explain to me. My same friends rebooked directly with Turkish Airlines for $269 less that FareScan just charged me. Service was horrid! Two phone calls had me on hold for 46 minutes on the first call and 42 minutes on my second call. When I requested the name of an officer of the company, I was told they are not allowed to divulge that information. I rate this company with ZERO stars...NEVER AGAIN!

STAY AWAY from this company, This company is ***. I would give them 0 stars if I could. This company should NOT be allowed to operate or represent the airline industry. They are running a scam. Our flight got canceled because of the weather. According to the airline's rules, customers are eligible for a full refund under this situation. The airline did refund the farescan , But they claim they have not received the refund. it is a LIE, we have evidence that they received a refund but farescan does not want to pay our money back! Do not deal with this company, this company is ***. we spent hours and hours to get our money back! we are still dealing with this situation.

I booked a flight on TAP AIR with Farescan which got cancelled due to COVID. I paid $159 at the time of the cancellation to get a credit to use with NO penalty. When I went to rebook, they are insisting I pay an additional fee to rebook for a flight that is cheaper than the original flight cost. They have not responded to multiple messages and how much I have to pay depends on who I get on the phone. It is an obvious scam. I think they work on commission because I talked to several different customer service agents within a time frame of a few hours and some of them quoted me hundred of dollars, after agent hopping I finally got someone down to $159 per ticket which I still refused to pay.

Farescan Fraudelent company!

Fraudelent company! Would give 0 stars if possible-was forwarded to their website through Kayak (Kayak, if you're seeing this, take them of your website! I've been using you for years and what a disappointment!). Had to cancel my flight because I got Covid. To cancel I had to call their service line (no problem), and they would only give me a credit (also no problem) but then they charged me a SEPARATE cancellation fee of $30 that they refused to take from my credit. In order to rebook I had to personally email them-they take at least 24 hours to respond. I'm looking on Kayak and on Spirit Airlines website at a flight that is $83-they try to tell me that the flight prices have "changed" and I owe an extra $20 to them to book-I have a $150 credit! This company is a complete ***! STAY AWAY !

Booked flights for a trip to Orlando for our anniversary trip. I got an email immediately after that looked like confirmation email with itinerary and the price. They were in large font and the main focus of the email. On the day before the flight, I discover that I have received no check-in prompt from my airline. I rechecked my email and noticed that in the small print it was mentioned that they could not book our flights. Why wouldn't that important information be highlighted and instead make the email look like the flights were booked. We had to pay 5 times the amount we originally could have booked the flights for because we had to scramble in the last minute. I don't know if this is intentional. If it is, this should be a class action lawsuit. I have a feeling they collude with the airline. Very clever guys but you know that thing about Karma?!

Farescan On February 14th I was supposed to be flying from *** to ***

On February 14th I was supposed to be flying from *** to ***. The plane had engine issues and our flight was cancelled. There was no flight that could get me to *** with in the next 24 hours, so I requested a refund. After calling, and emailing several times, I was told on March 31st that I would be receiving my refund within 2-3 cycles, and that never happened. I have recently contacted them and still have not received my refund.

I attempted to book an airline ticket at a certain price. After purchasing the tickets, they never sent me the electronic ticket as promised. When i called to inquire what the hold up was, they said in order to get my ticket it would cost an additional 60 dollars for them to release it. After saying no, they offered to do it for 20 instead. This company claims to be in ***, but they were really in ***.

Farescan promised a refund $2,225,00 after I had to pay cancellation fee of $461.02. I did not receive the refund, called and tried many times! No hope. Finally, Farescan told me *** Airlines rejected the request and I can only use the amount as credit to make a new reservationPlease help.

I booked a flight from Houston, Texas to Marseille, France with a May departure. The ticket cost me $632.20. Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, I was unable to fly, so they bullied me into flying in December, charging me $469.99 I am now out of pocket close to $1100. They never reply to my voice mails or email messages. This is unfair as I am a teacher on a limited income.

Farescan I purchased airline tickets on January 22 from *** to *** to fly out on 4/13 and return flight on 4/20 in

I purchased airline tickets on January 22 from *** to *** to fly out on 4/13 and return flight on 4/20 in the amount of $1,106.50 *** or $848.98 US dollars. When COVID happened we could not cross the border into *** from the US. I called and emailed them several times and was told they would extend my flight dates for another $150.00 US dollars which I paid. My expiration date of my tickets is 6/30 and when I called to get a full refund they told me that the airline is no longer in operation and they could not refund my tickets.

Farescan I booked a flight with checked bags through farescan

I booked a flight with checked bags through farescan. To begin with it was a major hassle to actually access my tickets, but that is not why I am filing a complaint. The fee to add the checked bags to my ticket was 120 dollars total for both ways. The checked bag was not applied to either of my tickets and I had to pay for the bags as well as having prepaid that 120 dollars. I have contacted them multiple times over many months, and they have had the statements for when I paid for the bags since February 5. They have not sent me a refund and have not given me any progress emails besides saying thanks for the concern and we are busy with all the calls for the pandemic.

I called the airlines and they have informed me that my ticket is classified as fully refundable since the airlines cancelled the ticket and not I or farescan. I have called farescan several times in attempts to have them issue my refund. My flight leaves on May 8th and I need to resolve this before I lose my money. Farescan continues to play as my ticket is not refundable or that they need to make calls or that they need to get back to me later. I have seen their ratings on ComplaintsBoard.com and *** and after reading all reviews, I would like to escalate this to ComplaintsBoard.com. All I ask is to be justly refunded please.

I bought 4 plane tickets through farescan, the airline changed the time of the flights and didnt inform, neither did Farescan, with this changes I couldnt travel so I requested Farescan to provide me the service that I bought with another airline or to refund my money, they they told me to call the airline, I did, the airline said that I would get my refund but I needed to request it through farescan because that way I bought the flights, so I did but farescan is refusing to refund my money, the date has already passed so I couldn't fly on the date and time I needed and still the agency is refusing to give me my money back. I called again the airline, and they confirmed, due it wasnt a change I made, I must get my money back.

Farescan We purchased the air tickets for $908.40 right before the pandemic restrictions last year

We purchased the air tickets for $908.40 right before the pandemic restrictions last year. Once the pandemic restrictions were placed, we called the company, and they told us that we can use money as a credit in the future for 1 year. On Jan 12 we contacted their support to inquire about refund for the tickets that we cannot use. We received their confirmation of cancellation by email and copy of this email (dated Jan 12, 2021). In the email it was stated however for refund we have to check with an airline. After phone communication with them, they confirmed that refund is already pending, and we should not worry about it. During that time, they even told us that money already have been refunded and must be in our account within days (deliberate false statement). We called the airline and they told us that they cannot do anything since it is outside of their ownership and in the hands of Farescan. Farescan I purchased an airline ticket from Farescan on Jan 11, 2020

I purchased an airline ticket from Farescan on Jan 11, 2020. PNR: PUQN9E, Ref: 20Z11QEF6032, E-ticket: 781-[protected]-81. Due to COVID travel restrictions I cancelled and on a Feb 15, 2020 email Farescan stated that I would receive a partial refund of CAD546.76. I made email inquiries on June 17, Jun 30, Aug 18, and Sep 21, 2020. Each time Farescan stated the partial refund would come soon and asked me to wait. Then on Apr 16, 2021, Farescan informed me that I would not receive the partial refund as it had been more than a year since the purchase. A call to Farescan's *** did not result in any resolution on Apr 27, 2021. Farescan stated on Apr 27, 2021 that they asked the airline China Eastern for a refund on multiple occasions and never received the refund from China Eastern. I called China Eastern, who informed me that they never received any requests from Farescan. I missed the one year window to file a complaint as I waited for Farescan's promised refund. Thank you

Farescan I bought 2 air tickets from FareScan on January 28 to fly from **** (***) (via ***) to ***, paying extra for flexible

I bought 2 air tickets from FareScan on January 28 to fly from *** (***) (via ***) to ***, paying extra for flexible date changes. The trip was to take place on March 19 (inbound) and September 15 (outbound). Because of COVID-19 President *** closed the *** borders on March 13. I called the company to change the tickets date. It took me almost all day to get to speak with the agent. Finally, I was told I would have to pay extra for the difference in ticket rate because the tickets were now for *** and hence were more expensive. They only had those two tickets available, and if I did not pay, I would not be able to use those tickets. They sent an email where I had to agree to pay extra $324 for the date change (even though it was not of my own will, and it was COVID related). I had to do it to secure the new flying date. After that I filed a complaint with the company. They told me they never meant to charge me, and there would be no charge for that change. Now, I have a bank statement that the company charged me $324 on March 12.

Farescan I purchased a flight to **** on Monday December 23

I purchased a flight to *** on Monday December 23. My PNR was "LQCKRU" and my E-Ticket Number is 781-[protected] through the website Kayak. From Kayak the purchase went through on a site called Farescan. The flight is booked from April *** with a layover in *** both ways. Due to coronavirus concerns China Eastern (The airline that we are flying with) is providing full refunds to those flying through *** until the end of April. I have contacted the airline China Eastern and they have confirmed that the company must return the payment in full since it is uncontrollable. I have contacted Farescan and tried to get a return but, they told me that China Eastern will only allow me to get back my base pay not my taxes. I emailed China Eastern with this concern and was told that was not accurate but I must contact Farescan to deal with it. When I contacted Farescan again they very aggressively repeated they will only return $820 of the $1,166 I had paid for my flight. This $350 is a lot as a student to not get back over an issue I cannot control. They will not budge on the issue continuously stating it is China Eastern although I have confirmed it is not.

Farescan Due to Covid-19, my flight was canceled in February

Due to Covid-19, my flight was canceled in February. I contacted the Airline directly and they advise that I should be receiving full refund from my their party booking agency since they are refunding full amount back to them. However, when i contacted Farescan, they told me there will be $150 fee charged to my credit card. I will not be receiving full amount. When i request to speak with a manager or supervisor, they advise that I will get a call back within 30 minutes. I did not received a call back, so I called the following day and same response was given. On my third call, they said there is nothing they can do, there isn't any supervisor or manager available and sent me an email stating I will get my refund back with a charge of $150 reduction. This was back in Feb 21. I am writing this on May 1st and I still have not received refund. After calling their customer service, I was advised that this request for refund has not been submitted on their end and they are looking into it. As of today (May 1st), i have not received any money back even with $150 reduction of their "fee"Their customer service team is very rude. They always speak over you and never let you speak. They only states on things that they want to say and does not care about your concern.

My boyfriend and I bought tickets on a InterJet flight for July 23, to July 28. We have been calling Farescan Since April to get a refund on our flights. In April they said call closer to July and they would be glad to help. We called on June 1 and all through out June. We kept getting the same two answers call when the dates are closer and we don't give refunds. So we asked for an exchange of dates or a credit in July. They told us we don't give credits but we can exchange the dates for you, and that you have to pay the difference in prices. Covid happened to the whole world I don't see why we have to pay the difference. Along with *** put a travel ban on *** since we have high numbers. So I said well lets see what that difference is. I gave them the new dates for the wedding.They told me they can't give us those dates due to the fact they are not available. I asked to talk to a supervisor several times on different phone calls. i get told we can't transfer you but we can have them cal you back. I never get a call back. I asked for Interjet's number and it doesn't work. I looked for Interjet's number online that number doesn't work. So now I am stuck with two tickets to *** on dates that *** is not allowed into ***. No refund, No credit, no exchange, no customer service support.

i bought round trip air tickets for me and family from farescan. it was turkish airline flight from *** to *** at 23 rd february and my return date was at 8th april from *** to jfk. but for the covid 19 my returned flight was canceled by the airline and government. all airline company including turkish airline offering their passengers free rescheduling or full refund their tickets without any penalty, fine or differences. but when i am trying to reschedule our tickets , farescan agent gave me lots of false information also told me ,i cannot talk to airline company directly and i have to pay them for rescheduling my tickets and this charge for turkish airline not for them. and they charge from my credit card $711.00. right immediately i called turkish airline help line and explain them what happened to me with farescan , they said you dont have to pay anything to re issue your tickets its completely free because your original flight was canceled for covid 19 . shortly i call back to farescan and told them, if they cant reschedule my tickets without charge then dont have to, i could do from direct airlines and also request them to return my 711.00$ in my card. but still they didnt return me. i called them several times to return my money but nothing changed . farescan taking illegal advantage from their customers even this tough situation. they lied a lot with their customers. they did it with so many customers which i read from trustpilot and other social medias .

Farescan I am giving one star because I cannot give something lower

I am giving one star because I cannot give something lower. My mother who was due to travel from *** to the *** in *** is a diabetic and over *** $400 to cancel the ticket and will refund the base fare. I told them that I didn't want to pay such a high cancellation fee. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I spoke to this guy who said he can give me a $100 rebate. After telling me that, i told him that i do not intend to pay such a high fee and said that I will take a chance and wait for the flights to get cancelled. I told him very categorically not to cancel the ticket and he said he will make a note that I will not be able to cancel my ticket going forward to which i said ok.Today, i got a voicemail from the customer service stating that they have canceled the ticket. I called them and told them that this is a mistake and it should not have been cancelled. The lady i spoke to said that they will incur a loss of $687 and will re-issue the ticket. I just received a call from the lady I spoke to last night and she said that I had told her to cancel the ticket and nothing can be done at this time and i will be charged a cancellation fee of $200. I told her that i had not given her consent to cancel or charge me a fee of $200 and she said it has already been done. On suggesting that i would like to listen to the call that i had made last night she said that I cannot listen to the call and the transaction is already done and nothing can be done. I strongly suggest NOT TO BOOK TICKETS FROM FARESCAN

I purchased two airline tickets on February 14th from FareScan for $2,173.02. They were round trip tickets from *** to *** on *** Airlines departing June 22nd and returning July 2nd.Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the *** was closed to all international travellers until July 1st & subsequently the flights were cancelled & my *** had to postpone our vacation plans (I did not cancel the flights).I called FareScan on July 3rd and learned that I was able to get a refund for the unused tickets from *** Airlines.FareScan informed me that they couldn't give me a full refund because the flight was suspended due to restrictions to travel by the government, not due to the airlines technical difficulties, so *** Airlines is unable to issue a full refund.I kept insisting that I was entitled to a full refund; however, FareScan was adamant about only giving me a partial refund of $1,817.22, which is $355.80 less than the $2,173.02 that I originally paid.I decided to contact *** Airlines on July 6th and their representative confirmed that the refund was being processed & that they were issuing a full refund: therefore, I should be getting all of my money back.I called FareScan afterwards to tell them about *** Airlines Covid full refund policy.This time, they gave me a different reason for why they wouldn't issue a full refund: they stated that since I'd bought the tickets through a third party and not directly through the airlines, I wasn't eligible to get a full refund.This seems unfair to me because travel restrictions out of our control resulted in the flight not being able to take off.I should not be paying a $355.80 commission to FareScan since I didn't receive any services from them.I am seeking a full refund of $2,173.02 from FareScan.Yesterday on July 7th, I requested my credit card company, *** to have the charge of $2,173.02 removed from my account for now.FareScan is not very trustworthy: many customers wrote negative reviews about this company, many people complained about the difficulty of receiving refunds. Therefore I requested *** to remove the $2,173.02 charge from my account until FareScan credits me in order to hold them accountable for giving me a refund. I instructed *** that as soon as FareScan credits my account, the same amount of charge that they credit me can be applied.In response to my dispute with the credit card company, Fare Scan sent me an email which stated While we were in the process of trying to get a refund with the airline, you seem to have filed a chargeback with your bank for the ticket amount and this has inhibited our effort to process the refund.Hence, this case would now be handled by our Chargeback team in coordination with you and the bank.For any other queries , please write to us at *** Please be informed that you would also receive a call back from the *** team soon to settle this issue.However, if you have any concern pertaining to chargeback you can send an email to *** .We assure to provide full co-operation in resolving this case
