Purchased a full registration female puppy for 3500. 00 for breeding purpose. At the time this dog reached puberty, she had developed a thyroid issue. This condition has been diagnosed as genetic and hereditary. Researching this, orthopedic foundation and top breeders as well as veterinarians, recommend she not be used for breeding. Raven has had difficulty in both litters in which she had trouble delivering and lost puppies that were odd sized. I had contacted this breeder about the issue and was requested to send medical reports. After several attempts, we finally talked. First of all, she pretty much blamed me saying it was environmental. I have other labradors and never have i had these headaches and problems with our others. Besides the fact is is that i paid for a high end female that they advertised. To make a long story short, i am sitting with an unbreedable dog after her delivery issues from thyroid and a thlot of bills. Buyer beware! These high end breeders portaying themselves as passionate and family oriented breeders, most of them are cutthroat and competitive !I did not get compensated nor a puppy replaced! My dog will be on medication the rest of her days!Think before buying from this breeder!

This was an unethical business client who asked me to help her sell her pups, and pay a find fee, then refused to pay it once the pup was sold. She just said, "Sorry, not sending you a penny."
It should be known that the judge decided in MY favor in this suite.

I had paid 3500.00 for a full registered female only to be diagnosed with inverted eyelids that tear up and a thyroid problem that is preventing her from breeding and they requested her records and now are avoiding me

My female is now three and had delivered a litter with difficulties.we lost four puppies.ever since she has not reproduced and has a thyroid disorder.upon researching, any reputable breeder will not introduce a thyroid positive female into the breeding program.research also states that it is hereditary or genetically passed on.endless headaches endless heartbreak and endless expenses!i feel they should at least replace my female . I had to get her this far and to replace her at three is way more than3500.00

Bonnie, this is the owner of Endless Mt. Labradors. I had not been allerted to this until now, so I'm not sure how we could be ignoring you. Had you talked with one of my staff? There is no such thing as "inverted eyelids", there would have to be a different diagnosis. There are other terms for eye issues, but this is not such a term. Also, how did they test her Thyroid and what was the diagnosis?
Furthermore, when you pay for a full registration, it specifically says in our contract that we do not "guarantee a dog can be bred"...there are so many health clearances and things that we must clear for before a dog can be considered "breeding stock" and maybe 3/4 of those we "hope" will be such do not make the cut. Its part of the risk we take as show breeders. Those dogs that don't make the "cut" as breeding stock end up being sold as 'pets'.
Lastly, the issues above are not "genetic" and there is no genetic clearance test for these. And I've never in 30 years had anything of what you describe. Thyroid can be tied to nutrition...is she getting Kelp or other forms of iodine? What food are you feeding? Are the eyes weeping because of seasonal allergies? (right now rag weed is crazy!) Call me and give me your vet's phone # so I can get the facts and exact diagnosis! --Donna Stanley, Endless Mt. Labradors

Owner of Endless Mt. Labradors here with an update on a complaint by Bonnie Fritsch- here's the ugly truth. She lied. Her issues didn't prevent her from breeding the dog...she had two litters! I didn't avoid her, she called on a Friday and I was gone all weekend at a dog show, so she could not wait until Monday to get my call. So she complained on this board that I was "avoiding her" HOGWASH lol... She paid for a full registration so she could breed her dog...and she did...two litters without even doing the CERF test required by my clients to do along with OFA and hips and elbows, before breeding their dog. By the way, I no longer give full registration anymore because of unethical people like this. Furthermore, she LIED to her clients and told them the pups were "clear by parentage" which is a lie, because you can only clear things like Optigen and EIC through parentage, not CERF... but even if both parents are CERF clear and OFA clear you STILL clear ANY dog you are going to breed, if they do not pass as breeding stock (meaning the highest clearances possible) then they are sold as pets. If she had done CERF on her pup like I asked, at 9 weeks old, she would have a record of the eyelid problem, as a certified opthomologist would always catch such an issue. I also learned that she had yelled at my assistant a year ago, and I had her call and apologize to her, which she did, upon which time she told us she was sueing her vet for a botched c-section and that was why she could not get pregnant anymore because he had not cleaned her out right, or had done something to cause UTI's. In addition, our health guaranatee clearly states that no dog is promised to be "breedable"...there is no way I could guarantee this. In my kennel, about 3/4 of the dogs only get clearances worthy of breeding stock (ones that I "hoped" would be show/breeding stock), so its always a gamble, no matter what health clearances you do. We only will put dogs in our breeding program that pass at the very HIGHEST clearance standards. Bonnie didn't even do the minimum. Still bred puppies, and all she talks about is "how she wanted a dog she could breed."..and talked about how she isn't making any money. Smells of someone who is popping out pups for $$$ SHE HAD LIVE PUPS, TWO LITTERS! I'd say she had a dog that was breedable, no matter if she lost some pups...we all lose pups, any breeder who says they don't is lying. It happens. Then she complained she had to have a c-section! Since when can we predict if a c-section will be necessary? (heck, all dogs of certain breeds REQUIRE sections!) It can be a vet with a hairtrigger that wants to do surgery, or an inexperienced whelper that jumps at the first hiccup. And many times, after one c-section I have had trouble getting a dog bred again. (I didn't call and yell at the breeder because she had a c-section, heck, I had pups, live ones, and I was thrilled! And Momma dog was safe!) And if you are breeding properly, its not about making money or getting your money "back out", its what you DO get...if I breed a girl two times...I'm THRILLED...if I got something to keep...awesome! She's upset also because she didn't get a female. WHAT? I guess I should not be happy about my Grand Champion Romeo because he throws all girls? Thyroid is not clearly genetic. Thyroid can be environmental or lack of proper nutrition to nourish the thyroid, or it can be a fluke. In 30 years I've never had a line that threw thyroid issues...EVER. I just got off the phone as Bonnie yelled at the top of her lungs, and I could not get a word in edgewise...I tried to speak loudly, but I just had neck surgery and it hurt. I told her to go read her guarantee (which she admitted she had never even READ!) and then call me when she could speak in a normal tone. Unfortunately, this is what every breeder fears...a person who parades as a reputable breeder, then does not even do the minimum health clearances before breeding their dog, (as we instruct ALL clients who want to breed on a full registration). ..then lies to puppy clients, then shoots their mouth off at you, and on public complaints board. Shame on me for ever selling this lady a dog. I looked at her face book, I can't even repeat the offensive language I found there. Clearly a hothead. Unbelievable. Lesson learned. And anyone who is reading this PLEASE, read your breeder's health guarantee...please. Call a breeder's vet...call their references. Don't fall for these complaints boards. Every single one has a story...my side...if you care you ask, I'm always available(570-549-6800)...they don't get their way, or they get "called out" by me, and the only place they can vent is here. Do your research, people. I've been told by my collegues I do more health clearances than anyone they know. My vet can be reached (his number is on my website), so can my handler. (both of which keep me accountable in the world of AKC show dogs) But I can't help people that do unethical things, don't follow the directions from the breeder, etc. I do my best to "clear" people, and trust me, I'll have more questions of you than you'll have of me.

Listen here! We bought the dog for breeding purposes for 3500.00 as an eight week old puppy! Bought the best breeding out there to enhance my breeding program! If you do not realize this my dog is also my pet! And its not about money! No we are not continuing to breed her! Made the comment complaint board that after all these issues with this dog, the breeder is the selfish one who does not stand behind this .my complaint is that I paid a high price for a quality dog only to have a genetic thyroid disorder that cannot be detected until at least a year of age.this dog had difficulties in delivering unusually large puppies and required a c section .before you are quick to judge, know thewwhole story. The breeder would not back up my dog! We have no intentions on breeding her after finding out a month ago she has thyroid issues!its not about the money to us, its about cut throat breeders just caring about the money.my dog is very special to me and we are sad that she has to go through this!

Further more, when I stated that she had problems ever since, meant problems ever since the c section! This is how we found out through many tests, ultrasounds, blood work, etc. That she was thyroid positive and cannot be used for breeding.that is when I approached the breeder and they requested her medical records. The breeder just shrugged us off as nothing.

I am addressing the animal activist above who masquerades as "The bone yard". As to the lady above her lost her dog, she never called me. (LaurieMak) I find it strange she 'would not call me"…makes me wonder if she is hiding something. Seizures do not have a genetic health clearance test, nor have they been shown to be genetic or environmental, it is unknown, therefore we never "guarantee" that. We only guarantee those things we can do genetic clearances for. I DO know that early spay/nueter does not allow the growth plates to complete their growth (which takes 24 months), spaying before that has been shown (by scientific research) to cause a susceptibility to ACL/cruciate ligament tears. I'm sure she knows this. I always warn people of this. And allergies are not always genetic, as I have never seen them in my dogs. But they are usually linked to nutrition…Chicken (especially if cooked) is something labs are highly allergic too. If that's ALL this poor girl got (plus cooked veggies…taking all the nutrients out at high temperature), she was not getting a full range of at least 30 other nutrients she needed on a daily basis…poor girl. I sure wish she had contacted me!

AS TO THE ACTIVIST : (The Bone Yard)

Is this PETA? An Animal Rights Activist? With our high profile in the dog show world and as a breeder in the past 28 years, I’m actually surprised this is the first time we’ve been targeted. After looking into it with technology, we found that this same person has been cutting and pasting the same two paragraphs all over the internet, posing as different people with different addresses, but they all trace back to the same IP address. When investigating the above Animal Rights Activist, we also found her to have an arrest record and several “protections from abuse” from other breeders and at least one pet store. We’ve also filed a complaint with our dog warden in case she tries to trespass in any way. I also found out she is a dog hoarder. This is a CONSUMER board, not a political activist board. This person is NOT a client. This post is actually against the terms and conditions of this board.

We have a flawless record with both our county, the state of PA, and the AKC. I’m also an AKC Breeder of Merit, and AKC provisional show judge. A ‘puppy mill’ would never have so many champions, Grand Champions, or, like us, at present, 3 dogs in the top 100 in the breed, nationwide. Everything I’ve stated is public record. You are welcome to call and talk to any of above agencies. Our business, kennel, and home are an open book and anyone is welcome to come visit us to see for themselves who we are, and the environment that my dogs/puppies live in. Once you’ve been to our place, the claims will be downright laughable to you. This activist was surely never a client

As a response to this person, here is what our clients have said about us and our dogs:

This rant has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with their political view…if you can even follow her logic. To learn more about what the REAL agenda is of PETA and Animal Rights Activists click here:

Hi Donna,

We had an exciting day. Raven got her first limit of pheasants (3 roosters). Thought it was time to send a photo and give you and update. She is a remarkable dog in so many ways. She is a perfect companion, house dog and all around good buddy. We have to remind ourselves she is only 10 months old, she is doing so well. She is very obedient, loves attention, takes hand signals, looks to you for attention in the field, has a great nose, has perfect range, and the only time she isn’t carrying something in her mouth is when she is sleeping. She is a pure joy to be around and has blended in with our two other dogs really nicely. Thanks again, couldn’t be more pleased.

P.S. – If you ever need a reference please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Hi Donna and Annastasia

Just wanted to share with you a picture of Murphy (Vegas x Atlas) who is now 16 months old. Here he is, after playing in the mud on a beautiful fall day.

Murphy is such a wonderful dog – always happy and so loving. We have several friends who got lab puppies about the same time as we brought home Murphy. Murphy, by far, is the most handsome of any of the dogs and has the perfect personality to match. He is fun-loving and playful yet obedient when he needs to be. But at 83 lbs., he doesn’t really realize that he isn’t a lap dog!

Murphy and our 2 1/2 year old French Bulldog Maddie are the best of friends. Despite the size difference, Maddie is clearly the boss!

Thank you so much for Murphy. Not a day goes by that we are not so thankful that he is part of our family. We tell everyone about Endless Mountain. You have the best labs!

Hello All at EML,

We were on vacation this summer in OBX, NC and had some family shots taken. When the photographer got down on her knee for a different angle, she couldn’t have known that is the international Labrador signal for ‘come to me’. This is one of the most fun shots we got. The photographer used it on her blog and a reality company she works with has asked to use it too. Maybe I’m biased but she really is a beaut! Grace was so good on the beach; she didn’t bother others (much) and would swim as far out as we were.
She chased birds and dug holes. Sounds like a great vacation to me. This is a Lynette/Hero puppy from 2/2011.

Dear Donna and Annastasia,
Here is a recent photo of our beautiful Laney. Thank you so much for blesses us with the little girl. She has brought us such joy this last month. She is so sweet and so smart. She even walks great on a leash. She is starting puppy preschool next Saturday. And also is attending her first Halloween party. She is going to be a pumpkin, we hope she wins best costume.
She loves people and other dogs. She is so well behaved. Thank you again for raising such beautiful dogs. My husband and I are are just in love with her. I truly don’t know how after being in the company of her you don’t believe that there is a God.
Kind regards,
Jennifer 10/20/14

Here is one more from out trip. I told Abby place, pointed to the rock, we work on that a lot, it’s at 8, 800 feet at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. She was not allowed on the trails here, so she greeted people as the entered the trail from her “place”.

Hi Donna and Anastasia,

In honor of National Black Dog day we wanted to write and tell you all about our first few days with Jet. We love him so very much and already can’t imagine our family without him. He has brought countless smiles, laughter and love to our home. Jet is the sweetest puppy ever. He loves being around people and has been the highlight of a couple of soccer games and practices. Everyone has been in awe over him. Jet had a wonderful visit with our vet this morning. He’s playing, eating and sleeping beautifully. Thank you so much for all that you do for Labradors and for providing our family with Endless love!

Best,

Hi Annastasia,

We have some great new pics of Barnaby (Mackie x Loretta). He is now 8 months old and weighs 60lbs. He gets comments of how beautiful he is everywhere we go, which is quite flattering :)

The beaches of New England are now open to dogs since the summer is over, so he has taken his turf back.

Hello!

I am just writing to let you know that Deacon is about 9 months old now and doing great. He listens very well and has not destroyed one thing in our home. He is a perfect gentleman.

This past Saturday was the first day for youth duck hunting, ( I am not a hunter, but my husband and daughters are avid hunters). Anyway. Alli, her dad and Deacon went on their first duck hunt together and they both did great! Deacon was the perfect Retriever! I have included a picture for you.

We love Deacon so much and are so glad that he is a part of our family! He loves to lay on the couch with us in the evening and “watch” TV. He loves his Chocolate flavored Nyla Bones and his blankie. We can’t wait to continue to watch him grow.

Here is a picture of Abby taking the drivers seat in our motor home when I get up to put fuel in it. She is now 13 months old and doing great. She is with us and in her fifth week on the road. This week at Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab UT. Abby goes everyplace with us, at National Parks dogs cannot go on trails, so Alice and I take turns with the other staying back with Abby where she greats everyone entering the trails and is a total hit even rangers. While traveling she sleeps between our seats, but when we stop at a campground for the night its full Lab puppy ready to go.
Thanks,

Here are a few pictures from our first days at home. Rosie loves to surround herself with toys! She brings them out of her basket, piles them up on the floor and then collapses right in the middle of all of them! She also fell asleep last night watching football with her dad – picture below. She slept like that for an hour :) Safe to say she is a happy little pup!

Hi All,
Just wanted to give you a George (Devon/Daizy) update. He is growing like crazy at 45 lbs. and just graduated from puppy class level one(he did real well). He starts level 2 mid-Sept. In these pics he took his first lengthy road trip (9 hours) to the Univ. of Tenn in Knoxville to visit my daughter Kelsey(2nd from left in group shot). She took him to her office where everyone fell in love. He brings such joy to our lives and we thank you immensely.
Best Regards,

Hello all!

Deacon is getting so big! He is such a gentleman, and we love him so much! Our hearts swelled with pride when he “found” his ability to swim this week! He has always loved the water, but he was afraid to go in beyond where he could touch. He loves retrieving his dummies now, and follows hand signals to find them!

I can’t believe how much he has grown in the past couple of months. He loves cuddling on the couch with us. He is such a gentle boy. He loves his family, especially his big sister, Morgan. She is leaving for college on Friday, he is going to miss her so much.

Thanks again for this wonderful boy!

Hi Donna and Annastasia,

Tuula is doing great! She is getting big now 5 months and over 50 LBS. She is such a beautiful dog. She literally stops traffic! We have had people stop thier cars and holler out what a beautiful dog she is and others pull over to the side of the road and get out to say hello to her and ask where we got her. Here is a picture of Tuula chilling out in here favorite beach chair at 4 months old. Thank you for such a nice dog.

He is doing great! People comment on his great disposition and stunning looks everyday!

Hi:

As I’ve mentioned previously and when we picked Abby up, she is now one year old, both Alice and I volunteer at an all breed no kill rescue. We take in mainly abused, abandoned and neglected dogs. Saturday we took in a pure English Lab (Lilly) from an owner surrender because she attacked their other dog several times and bit the owner (supposedly). Alice and I decided instead of leaving her in the kennel we would bring her home and see what is up. First she cannot open her eyes fully and the leak a clear to cloudy solution, so we took her to our Holistic Vet on Monday. She determined that her eyelids have grown in and are scratching her eyes – this has been going on for over six months according to the owner. Alice and I are going to cover the cost of the operation which we eliminate the pain. Our Vet said in her opinion it’s questionable breeding practices. The dog is AKC registered so I tried to find the breeder on line – no website. Bad breeders hurt dogs (my opinion). Despite the pain she is a very sweet and gentle dog. In fact there has been no incident at all and I feed both dogs together side by side – I watch but nothing except Abby trying to steal Lilly’s food. Despite her training, Abby is still a puppy – and a Lab puppy, big time.

Now on to our (your) amazing Abby. Abby took to Lilly the minute she saw her, and has tried to take care of her, this dog is 18 months and Abby is just a year now. Abby licks her eyes, and comforts her. Abby goes to her crate and picks up her toys and brings them Lilly and lays them down in front of her and licks her lips. Then this morning they both ran downstairs to the basement, I called Abby and Lilly to come up, Abby came at once, Lilly stayed downstairs, I called again and although Abby had already come upstairs and sat by my side as I’ve taught her to do (I help rehabilitate the abused dogs we get in and have lots of training experience) Abby ran back downstairs, bumped her nose to Lilly’s nose and essentially brought Lilly upstairs. I’ve seen a lot in my years working with dogs as a volunteer, I’ve helped rehabilitate a number of abused dogs, many of which were used in fighting, but to date have not come across a dog with the intelligence, confidence and sense of self that Abby has. Our Vet absolutely loves her as does everyone who meets her, and she them. She has helped this rescue Lilly tremendously in only a day and a half. We leave on a two month RV trip next week sometime which we have planned for 30 years, so in all probability Lilly will go to another foster, but seeing Abby with her only reaffirms with us what you have said in many of your blogs, if you buy a dog, buy from a reputable breeder ONLY – thank you for being that breeder. I now call her the Amazing EML Abby.

Thank You

Bud Roberts

Dear Donna and Anastasia,

Libbie’s birthday, Friday, was a special day here! Every day we have her is a gift to our lives and everyone she meets (human and doggie) is a gift to her heart! She is the most loving, joyful animal we’ve ever known. She sends her love to you both, and to all of her family at Endless, with a special message of love to her momma Paige, for bringing her into the world. Thank you Paige, for being such a tender, loving mother! Like mother, like daughter!

I had purchased a puppy of show quality for breeding.I paid 3500.0for this female who is now three years of age in December. My female has been diagnosed with a thyroid disorder.my female has delivered a litter two heat cycles ago with difficulty.we need an emergency c section on her and one puppy was freakishly small.we lost four because was unable to deliver normally. Our female has had problems reproducing ever since.we had her tested for brucellosis and she is negative.we have used two quality males on her and no puppies.ultrasound ect. for abnormalities.she has had nothing but issues with reproducing.she also has inverted eyelids in which make her eyes tear frequently. I had several veterinarians tell me that thyroid is genetic and hereditary.after researching this, most reputable breeders will not use a thyroid positive female for fear of passing it to puppies.i had contacted endless mountain and sent medical records as requested.i have tried to contact them several times and no response! I am saddened by this as this was my dream dog! Nothing but endless headaches and endless expenses! I asked for a breeding dog and paid 3500.00 for one .all i ask is that i Get compensation for this .to replace her at three is next to impossible. i love this dog very much and i am extremely upset about this and the way the situation is being handled.i thought they would at least respond back.now i am being avoided!

This breeder seems to blame everyone but herself. She posted under 4 separate names. Posted endless reviews ( she was called out on) and continues to sell genetically defective pups. Your a discrace to the Lab Breed. It's obvious by all the complaints seen across the RipOff dies that you are only in this for the money. Shame on you. The inbreeding is the cause if these problems. Not the buyers. I'm glad I seen this ad we were considering purchasing a pup from you. My heart goes out to all that have suffered thru this breeder.

Shame on you for believing an animal rights activist that masqueraded as a "buyer" and decided to say absolutely incorrect information after being fired for her abusive behavior to my staff. Each of my dogs is tested for health issues (over 9 things we can clear for so we don't breed a carrier to a carrier causing an "affected.") I will be searching information on this complaint since we have connections to state reps and gov's who oversee dog law. This is an absolute lie and will be pursue in court--ESPECIALLY AS THEY NEVER BOUGHT AT PUP FROM US. So their review is really non-relative--just a review of a response to a reveiw. And, actually, illegal, as far as reviews are concerned--you HAVE to be a client to leave a review (heck, even Amazon makes that happen!) I never posted under 4 names (please clarify in court, if you would)--only one for 36 years--you can look it up. I have A+ rating with AKC, and dog law. I am reputable. Not sure about your review. That's is very disturbing that you are attacking AKC Breeders of Merit (the top brass) are you friends with disgraced journalist Emily Brill who tried this with us and we found out a lot on her...well, now I'll be looking for you. A liar and destroyer of small business..good for you in this sad, sad world of people trying to stay afloat!

This is not really a complaint with Endless Mountain Laboradors breeders. I purchased my male lab from them roughly in 2009 and paid roughly $2500. And roughly 4 to 5 years later, my dog started to have sizures. My dog is now on sizure medication and still love him to death. Part of the family now. He is a beautiful dog and I am not blamming Endless Mountain Laboradors either. However, from looking at the number of complaints from Endless Mountain Laboradors, I have not idea if the dogs they where breeding may have contributed to my dogs medical issues. I did contact Endless Mountain Laboradors to let them know that my dog was having seizures and that they want to reconsider using that breed line for future breeding purposes. I did not ask for a refund as I would never give up my dog now. I love him too much and know he loves me back the same. I think I will reconsider who I purchase my next laborador from and will do more research.

This is 5 or 6 years ago...and we do health clearances for every issue that can be genetic. This is one. So if it did not show up in a doctor (specialist report--neurology) its not in our lines. Its environment and we can't control the environment once a pup goes home. If we've cleared genetically we know. Did the dog get poisoned? What kind of flea collar/meds are you using (THEY CAUSE SEIZURES!) did you do a toxicology panel before saying "bad, bad breeder"---just by posting--you said that. I will pursue this legally as this is pure liable and slander --what a lie to start this as "this is not really a complaint". Unbelievable.

I want to tell my story about a lab I bought for thousands of dollars from Endless Mountain Labradors. Addison will turn 5 on June 7. She started showing allergy issues around 16 months of age. First her eyes were just watery. After contacting Endless Mountain, as I was sure they would be concerned about this; their assistant told me to change her to a different Flint River Ranch food. I'm thinking they might get a kick back as I've never had another breeder demand the puppy only eat a certain brand.
Fast forward to June 3, 2015. Today I went to pick up Addison's new medication. She has such severe allergies that we can not find a food that does not cause her eyes to swell shut and itch. She no longer has any fur around her eyes and must always be on medication. Her allergies are both food and environmental. Our vet stated that at least one of Addison's parents had to show symptoms of allergies and should not have been mated. Unfortunately I will never be able to keep Addie comfortable, but I can warn others about this issue. Even after I told Endless Mountain who her parents were, they continued breeding them. Is that how a responsible breeder acts? Oh and ask to see all the certificates from the testing for both the male and females, I didn't and that was my fault. Don't just look at the web site, demand to review the certifications. They are given to the dog owner. I'm sure of the hundreds of puppies they produce each year a good part of them are healthy, but why would they act so unreasonable when approached about health issues. I asked my vet, who breeds dogs, if I had done anything to contribute to Addie's severe allergies. She stated it was hereditary. I can understand maybe one litter being born and not being aware of allergies, but to continue to breed them after having complaints is inexcusable. This is a just a business about money. Oh and why are the females not listed or shown on the their web site? If I spent that much money testing and having these girls certified, I would have all that on my web site with my males?

So my first question is did you do an allergy panel? what was she allergic too? your lawn chemicals, your flea medication, your detergent? did you check those? no. you just get on a complaint board and blame the breeder. what a world we are in when something goes wrong they blame a person or a breeder. sad. both parents have no allergies — no littermates have allergies. what treats were you giving? I don't care what food you feed — we recommend one and require it for this exact reason — people go and buy 'kibbles and bits' (equivalent to twinkies for dogs) and then complain about allergies, itching, etc. is that why we had to tell you to get on a nutritious food? — were the allergies from not listening to us about nutrition? you had the allergies before we had to tell you to feed your dog correctly. we have all certifications available for each litter — its a kit — you get it when you reserve a pup — so either you ignored it or didn't read your email! of course we still bred the dogs — you have an environmental allergy going on — neither parent is affected. so I have a liar on my hands. I would never state it's hereditary as it's environmental or food if you have done genetic health clearances on both parents — another lie. you can be held accountable financially for what you say online. this is a good opportunity to do so! the fact both parents were bred with no issues of allergies just proves this is a liar, again. unfathomable someone would do that. ask for their clearances — go ahead. we are here.

Bottom line for all the lab breeders STOP breeding the poor animals..they are over bred and that is why have all these health issues. These animals are so popular and everyone wants one, so people like yourselves want to make a dollar off of them..just STOP breeding them period..that's my 2 cents worth...

Well I was considering getting a pup here, but after seeing how this breeder loses it at people for complaining, and then proceeds to copy paste pages of "testimonials", I'll be looking elsewhere. Endless Mt. Labs does seem like it's all about the money.

I used this kennel for stud services. Only 2 pups were born from this sire. Business owner refused to sign off the liter with the AKC as her dog being the sire until legal action was threatened and DNA testing was done on the pup. Business owner also claims she has the right to proceeds from the sale of the pups that her dog sired. No documents exist between this business and myself yet the business owner claims she is owed money for the sale of pups. Anyone considering this kennel for stud service or puppy purchase need to be aware that they could be scammed and could be harrassed by continuous emails as I have.

I must add…I used the word difficult when describing my previous dog that I loved in relationship to the puppy I got from EML. My puppy has not been difficult at all…not one day has my puppy been difficult. This puppy is so easy and loving and smart. I simply cannot believe any stories that I read on this complaint blog. They simply have to be flukes…which unfortunately happen in life.

I love our dog (puppy) that we got from Endless Mountain Labs. I have read through all of these complaints after having out puppy for 2 months "just because" I was playing around on the internet. I think a number of these complaints are from somewhat crazy individuals…seriously. You are buying a dog. sometimes the dog isn't perfect. The cost cost does not guarantee that the dog will live for 15 years without any problems. It is a dog. I thought that the family was nice and that their home and kennel were exceptional. Our dog (puppy) is the sweetest, smartest, cutest dang dog that I could have ever hoped for. I had a German Shepherd for 13 years so I know difficult yet smart dogs. I never thought that another breed could actually compete. Not only does this breed (breeder) compete but superceeds my every expectation. So your dog has seizers…I find it very interesting that the dog you had before from a different breeder had the same problem. Don't you?

Why would I call Donna Stanley when my beloved Grace began having health issues? Was Donna going to heal her? Grace was on Flint River Ranch dog food (recommended by Donna) when all her allergies began to surface. Donna, you ASSUME when I said we prepared homemade food that we cooked away all the nutrients in Grace's homemade food. We did not. Where did you read the word "cooked" in my initial post? AND you conveniently skipped my sentence that said our vet helped us to supplement Grace's diet with all necessary vitamins and nutrients. This is how we kept her allergies and seizures in check. Flooding this complaints board with compliments (on your behalf) isn't going to stop people who are truly concerned about purchasing a Labrador from Endless Mountain...or as I refer to your breeding practices as Endless Vet Bills. I have been with my vet for over 20 years, Grace was my third Lab that was under his care. I've seen him go above and beyond, not only with my Labs, but with so many of his four legged patients...and the people who love them. When he tells me Grace's health issues were genetic, I believe him. We know our love and devotion to Grace bought her years she would not have had. You are the one who is "ranting, " Donna, and if you are going to use quotation marks then be sure they are quoting something I actually posted. You quoted me as saying I "would not call you" and that "makes (you) wonder if she (me) is hiding something." I never said I would not call you. What I said was "while the vet told us ALL of these issues were genetic (poor breeding) we loved Grace and knew Endless Mountain/Donna Stanley would never admit to the fact that she was to blame." And on this complaints board you prove me to be so right.

Just goes to show what great lengths this breeder will go to attack anyone who dares complain about their ways. After all, It's not money these folks are after...look at their house on the endless mountain web site. Paid for I am sure by...well you all get the point. I would stay away from anyone who attacks and attacks as these rebuttals do.

Oh my. "Listen here!" Translated: "I'm right, you're wrong! I'm smart, you're dumb! I'm big, you're small!" Our less-than-bonnie is not understanding the concept of posting her opinions and complaints in public. This seems to be an epidemic here at CB. When you post your opinions and comments on a public board, be prepared for others to post theirs. They may not be in line with your opinions, but it was not promised that everyone would agree with you.

Your dog is three years old and you received a diagnosis of a thyroid condition and you continue to attempt to breed her? The comment "delivered a litter two heat cycles ago with difficulty... our female has had problems reproducing ever since..." makes you sound like you
care more about the money you can get from breeding and not about your dog. Also if you were told that her thyroid condition is genetic, why are you even attempting to breed her and possibly pass this genetic issue along to another unknowing owner? Even with the best "genetics" we have illness and disease that occurs in both humans and animals.. Please for the sake of your beloved dog, stop attempting to breed her.

On Monday, October 20, 2014 we had to put our beloved Grace to sleep. She was barely six years old. We bought Grace from Donna Stanley on Nov 1, 2008. We had recently lost our previous Lab, who suffered from seizures and colitis (both genetic) and we sought out Donna because we actually believed all that she said on her website about her breeding philosophy. She assured us her pups would be seizure free. Grace was only ten months old when she began showing signs of allergies. Seasonal allergies, as well as food allergies, and many of the medications that would have helped her throughout her short life. She couldn't eat sugar or carbs. We found the best diet for her was homemade, chicken and green veggies only. We loved her so much we spent hours every week making her special food. Our wonderful vet helped us to supplement this diet with the appropriate vitamins. He often commented on her beautiful coat and skin, given all her allergies. She remained on the Nu-Vet vitamins suggested by Donna. Shortly after her second birthday Grace had her first seizure of many seizures. Again with the help of our vet we found supplements that kept her seizures to about two or three a year. Three months after she turned three she had her first acl (knee replacement) surgery. The other leg was done eighteen months later. While the vet told us ALL of these issues were genetic (poor breeding) we loved Grace and knew Endless Mountain/Donna Stanley would never admit to the fact that she was to blame. But the final blow came eight weeks ago when Grace became lethargic and began crying in pain...rising from the floor was an effort for her. For weeks we were back and forth to the vet...her liver numbers were way above normal. The vet ran tests, and finally decided to do a biopsy. When he operated he found that her liver was very diseased. The biopsy showed very advanced cirrhosis...he told us this was yet another genetic issue. She never recovered her appetite after the surgery and then stopped drinking water and we knew we couldn't let her suffer, and made the very painful decision to put her down. We are devastated over the loss of our sweet girl and the pain and suffering Grace and our family have had to endure because of the pure greed of breeders like Donna Stanley. I hope this message will save many other Lab lovers from purchasing a puppy from breeders who care nothing about the breed but only about the money.

Did you know that sadly the majority of puppies brought into this world by Endless Mountain Labradors are done so on a puppy mill farm owned by Mennonites in Penn Yan NY. Who raise their dogs on wire kennels where the dogs cannot touch the ground for better part of the day.

Did you know that most of the original puppy pictures you see online thinking that your new baby is being hand raised in a beautiful home by Endless Mountain Labradors are in reality all stuck in a small cubicle on the Mennonite farm for the first 10 weeks or so of their life.

Did you know that those farm puppies are only brought to Endless Mountain Labradors location a day or two before " you " the new puppy owner show up to buy your new puppy?

Did you also know that this particular Labrador Kennel produces Aprox 150 to 200 puppies a yr. Breeding their females every time they come into heat. Never giving their bodies a rest?

They are merely just a Glorified Puppy Mill. And you are funding this Commercial Kennel by every purchase you make.

Did you know that the reason why this kennel encourages you to buy the Flint River dog food, setting you up with a direct shipping of that food is because they get a percentage off every bag that is sold. And that they don't even feed their own dogs that brand of food, just the puppies who are coming to you.

Did you know that as a rule they bring the mother of the puppies going home to their property as well just in case you want to see both the mother and father. But then the female goes back to the Mennonite farm to live until the next heat.

You were duped, taken advantage of just like the rest of us unsuspecting puppy buyers. Along with the females who are forced to mass produce puppies for human gain. But you didn't know. How could you have known. You believed every word that was told to you. However, now you do know. Please do not support commercial puppy mills.

Shame on them for misleading the animal lovers that we ALL are.

Endless Mt. Labradors here:

I did not avoid Bonnie. She has been regularly complaining to us for a year and a half about whatever the latest news on her dog was. A year ago, I got an angry phone call from Bonnie at which time, she rudely spoke with my assistant about how mad she was that her dog had to have a c-section and that she had lost pups. She has been off and on, calling my assistant repeatedly, harassing her rudely about how “we sold her a dog that couldn’t be bred”.

As to the Thyroid…that is not clearly genetic. It can be environmental (stress, an overweight dog, etc…Bonnie did mention her dogs was VERY overweight), it can be a lack of diet that provides nutrients necessary to nourish the thyroid, or it can be a fluke. I’ve bred labs for almost 30 years and never had a thyroid problem that was genetic, EVER. There is no genetic test to do that will guarantee a pup won’t have thyroid issues, even if the parents’ thyroids are perfect. I’ve been regularly told by my fellow show breeders that I do more genetic testing than others. This is not a case of a breeder not screening their breeding stock as they should.

As to the eye, it seems to weep, but she hasn’t even Cerf’d the dog to get a diagnosis. And she sold her first litter to people saying “the pups eyes are clear by parentage”. That’s impossible without an Optigen test…which she didn’t do either. And, one of the first signs of food allergy in a dog is watery, weepy eyes.

So, I’m confused about the basis of this complaint.

It turns out she DID breed Raven but rushed into what appears to be a poorly preformed C-section. Was the poorly preformed C-section our fault ?…..and the reported persistent UTI’s from that C-section…Was that our fault too? She also claims that because my dogs have “big heads”, she ended up in a C-section. So I guess that’s another reason it’s our fault too. The fact that Raven won’t take to future breeding’s since that C-section now seems to be our fault as well.

And oh, JUST TO BEG THE QUESTION: If she thinks the dog has genetic problems, WHY IS SHE STILL TRYING TO BREED IT? Perhaps she thought a breeding dog was one she could breed over and over and over again to make $$$$?

Bonnie says, “I don’t know what your guarantee says”…Oh, so she never read my guarantee? The part where it says “we cannot guarantee a dog will be able to be bred.”? How could I possibly guarantee that? Did she want a guarantee to say “you won’t have less than 4 perfect litters, you will have equal numbers of boys and girls, no pups will die and you’ll never have a c-section? It gets even more illogical: she’s mad because she didn’t have any females to keep! SERIOUSLY? Is that a genetic problem that is our fault too?

Lesson learned…shame on me for selling Bonnie this dog.

People….READ your breeders’ contract and guarantee. Look at your rights by dog law in your particular state. Follow the breeder’s suggestions. If you trust a breeder enough to get a dog from them, then trust them enough to listen to what they tell you to do.

Measure what you see on complaints boards against what positive things you are hearing. In my experience, the ones that come and vent here are the hotheads, the ones that came to me, and because they did something unethical, or their complaint was illegitimate, they come here to sound off. In the past, I’ve even found out they have lied, once I talk to the vet, and they are trying to get money out of me fraudulently. I answer each and every complaint personally. I avoid no one. I have nothing to hide. I hold to my guarantee every single time.

Unfortunately, the buyer likes to throw it out the window. Strange how that works…

Yes, we only require a dog be put down if it is so serious that it is life threatening OR if the issue is not repairable by surgery. For a copy of our health guarantee, feel free to email us. I believe some people have mis read our contract. Plus, some issues like "Pano" (growth pains) or injury can mimic what seems like dysplasia. And unfortunately, I have researched by calling the client's vet and found that the dog fell off the bed or had an injury, so they were trying to fraudulently use our guarantee to cover their vet expenses. Sad that this happens too often when I look into things. Email us for a copy of our guarantee at bestinshow@emlabradors.com

Read the breeders paperwork! There are additional contributors to displasia besides genetics, such as injury or being overweight. These dogs were also diagnosed while growth plates were still moving, as you will see that studies were not done at or after 24 months as required by the OFA.

You are discrediting a very serious diagnosis of elbow dysplasia. We purchased a chocolate labrador from Our Lovable Labs and low and behold his sire is Endless Mountain of Fudge ( who's sire is Mack Truck) He indeed suffers from elbow dysplasia due to GENETICS. We are fortunate that our family pet has been able to be seen by top veterinarian orthopedic surgeons and they all agree that our pets SEVERE elbow dysplasia is genetic. He has already gone thru surgery etc. and is still lame. Perhaps it would be more professional of you to look into these severe breeding issues regarding YOUR animals instead of rudely replying to a concerned client.

We have the same problem with our dog from this breeder. We purchased him in the summer of 2012 and now at 14 months and some change he has elbow/joint dysplasia -. hind leg (his right leg). Your right - after all this time we would not euthanize him for another puppy. Might have the same problem again. Paid $2500 and now have a puppy we love but can not go on hikes with, take him boating, hard play etc... Not what we planned.

We purchased a puppy from them in February of 2013 and at one year of age we discovered he had bilateral elbow dysplasia, confirmed by both our vet and this breeders expert in Ohio. Read the purchase contract carefully, as they will give you no cash refund, and if you want a new dog you must euthanize the one you purchased. After a year with the dog he is part of our family and cannot in good conscience do that. This breeder claims to be all about family, and their pups are like family to them, but that is just advertising.

Just read this and felt compelled to say I purchased a puppy (Doc/Rosemarie) in 2011 with the exact same diagnosis which was confirmed by two vets and our dog and surgery in both elbows before he was one year of age. His activity was significantly limited before the surgery which caused socialization issues down the road. 8 years later I wouldn't trade him for the world but I was extremely disappointed by Donna's attitude from Endless Mountain Labradors when I notified her within a month of having the puppy. I would never recommend this breeder to anyone.
