SCAMMERS! Had reached out regarding a generator - delivery and set up as there was a power outage. I was to pay the price of the generator and supplies at cost from the store, and the $600 delivery / set up fee. Egli Electric stated on 6/25/24 they had located a generator at Lowes for about $1,700 and that it would cost an additional $600 for delivery and set up. This was sent via text. They also mentioned they were charging for time researching, but I never agreed to that, nor was there any time spent researching for generators available at Lowes. I only agreed to pay for the cost of the generator and the $600. The generator was dropped off in my driveway at 6/25/24 and NOT set up. The extension cord was left on the ground and was unable to be used. I was unable to get power during the outage as I could not safely leave an extension cord on the ground, and the generator was not set up (e.g. wiring in a safe place). Additionally, he asked for CASH and said he offered discounts for cas...nal $264. After that, he calls and stated the generator was really only $1,100, but he over charged to cover time etc. I was never aware of that and would have never agreed to that. I only agreed to pay for the exact cost of the generator and supplies, and the $600 set up / delivery. The set up was never completed and I was purposely overcharged (scammed) on the cost of the generator. Additionally, he is now harassing my mother by sending her bills demanding more money for this. My mother does not own the property, and there was no official contract other than the text with the amount. I was not aware that I was being over charged for the generator, that it would be dumped in my driveway and not set up, and that he would be charging for time it took to go to the Lowes website to look at the generator. My mother is now being harassed, as they think they can send her fraudulent bills and she will unknowingly pay. They are scammers. Please note there is no official contract, only texts.

Claimed loss: 2,500

Desired outcome: Provide receipt for generator so I have access to warranty, refund me the overage they SCAMMED me, Cease and desist from sending my 69-year old mother fraudulent bills
