Edible Arrangements review: If you are going to send fruit, shouldn't it be fresh?

I was sent this arrangement by my organization because of surgery. When it arrived, the fruit was soft mushy and brown. I was too embarrassed to tell my organization, because I know they spent money and it was a wonderful thought. But you need to know, that I will never order from your organization again, and would like others to know what terrible service. If you are going to send fruit, shouldn't it be fresh?
