They are the most greedy, putrid for-profit utility company on the planet. They refuse to correct their mistakes, they charge four times the appropriate rate — california prices are four times less than michigan due to private corporate greed. Each year they have the sheer gall to solicit the corrupt "michigan public service commission" for an absurd rate increase (usually ten times what a standard rate increase even should be), and every time they do, without fail, dte will receive a rate increase. Dte has at least 400x times the money they ever could need to provide top-tier service, yet refuse to even offer the bare minimum. These sadistic, disturbed psychopaths need to be permanently-shut down and all executives sent to prison for grand larsony, war crimes, and intentional gross negligence + failure to fulfill expected obligations. Each year, they cause the waste of at least 400 million dollars of food due to their gross negligence, most years reaching 4 billion or more. They should be sending out 500 checks to each customer per blackout so that we can replace our lost food. Imagine needing electricity to survive via home life support — you would need two backup generators ready on standby to use 24/7365. Dte needs to be held responsible for their egregious abuse of hard-working, tormented forced-customers (american citizens with no choice of utility company). Complete and utter unforgivable corporate monopoly scum. #hold_dte_responsible

Recommendation: MOVE TO ANOTHER STATE WHERE DTE DOES NOT EXIST.
