I had a great time with this contractor. Not a scammer at all! They replaced part of my roof and their team did a fantastic job. I've been looking for a reliable contractor since Covid started and finally found one on my neighborhood Nextdoor website. First of all, they answered the phone when I called. Nobody does that anymore. Their price was very good. They did all the work in one day and totally cleaned up everything. I will now be using Dougherty & Sons Contracting for all my home repairs and will recommend this company to all my friends and neighbors too.

I know a guy who was fixing up his crib and needed to put some asphalt on the roof. He said it was a real pain in the butt, but it was easier with someone who knew what they were doing. I didn't know anything about asphalt or where to find a company that could do it, so I stumbled upon this website and found the dude I could trust to work on our roof. My house is all good now, so I guess he did a pretty good job. This asphalt company is all about fixing up anything related to asphalt, from filling in potholes to redoing driveways and courts, and even doing blacktop repairs.

Dougherty & Sons Contracting is a bad company! A few months ago, a guy named *** came to our house to give us a quote for painting our front door. He seemed nice and promised a 5 year guarantee, so we hired him. His son *** sent a worker to do the job, and *** came by at the end of the day to collect payment and give us the guarantee. But when we looked at the job, it was not good. We called *** to fix it, but he ignored us for months. He only texted to say they would come, but they never did. Finally, I called and pretended to be a new customer, and he answered right away. When I told him my real name and my complaint, he promised to send someone in two days, but no one came. He is a bad business owner who lies to people and should not be trusted.

I paid Dougherty and sons $1800 by check on 11/12 when work on my deck was done. They replaced several boards and added support to the gazebo. They also painted the new boards. *** said the work would be guaranteed for 5 years if any issues. A few days later after it rained, I realized they did not properly paint the new boards. The wood showed through as well as the wood putty. I texted *** on 12/7 and sent several pictures to show him the boards that were not properly painted. His comment was, "Let it warm up a bit". Living in GA there are warm days throughout the winter. I did not hear back from him. I texted him in January and again in March. He finally texted back in *** and said he hasn't forgotten about me. We set up a date for *** for him or someone from his company to come- 4/26/22. It was raining on that day so we re-scheduled for Friday 4/29/22. We texted back and forth on Thursday night 4/28/22 to confirm. No one showed up on 4/29/22. I texted and called him several times that day. No response to emails or texts. I have saved all the texts from him. I also can get my phone records. I also can provide photos. I can get a copy of the check. I would like him to come and finish the job that his company did not do properly to begin with. It is also false advertising to state a 5 year warrantee and not ever show up. I want to warn others about this company.
