DomesticOne part time cleaner

The agency agreed to provide weekly cleaning services for 1 year. Out of 18 times they tried ro arrange for someone to come, 7 sessions were cancelled last minute and had to reschedule (at times not able to reschedule within the week). Some cleaners were also not briefed properly on the location and got lost (called me angrily to ask for directions) and was late and claimed the agency was supposed to bring them to the house the first time. Some cleaners were not briefed on the requirements and sounded surprised and upset when asked to do simple cleaning such as dusting furniture. When i called the agency after 4 months to terminate their services and ask for a prorated refund of the agency fee based on the duration of service provided, the agency initially only offered a 50% refund to which I said that it was not fair offer as they had only provided service for less than 25% of the agreed duration, and said I might need to go to the consumer watchdog of Singapore to seek redress. To which, the agent got upset and challenged me to go ahead. I clarified that I would consider their offer of 50% refund and get back to him, to which the agent said he changed his mind and decided not to offer any refund anymore. This whole episode caused undue stress and frustration as I had to liaise with the agent and cleaners on numerous occassions to schedule and reschedule. Minimally the agency should have some form of service recovery after such an unpleasant experience, instead the agency made it even worse by saying no refund of the agency fee will be provided! How can such a business model survive in this competition?

DomesticOne part-time maid

We engaged Domestic One 6 weeks ago with a clear brief: we need a part-timer cleaner, who cleans our apartment 3 times a week from 8:30am to 12:30am. We paid 280 SGD upfront. Domestic One was not able to deliver the service, what's more, they send us in total 8 cleaner, one after another, but each of them didn't want to do the job. Some told us from the beginning, that they can't start before 9:30am, some did not want to work 3 days. But Domestic One did send them however. Very bad experience and lost time. The last cleaner Domestic One has send started to cry when we wanted to leave her alone in the apartment to do the cleaning. We never experienced such a bad service as with Domestic One in life. Highly advised to never use the service of Domestic One, what they write on their home page and Facebook has nothing to do with reality.

DomesticOne Service

I arranged the part time cleaner on 21 july. the part time maid has last min cancelled for two days and I contacted them, the person is not responding to the questions and have lost trust using his staff. He has told me that the maid will be coming with a supervisor and the person did not to come. he has been failing to respond to the customer. now i prefer to use another agent and he refused to refund. its been such a short time an i do not want to pay for another agent fee. what do i do?

So after few emails exchanged I realised that I should have given more properly stated content rather than being just a rude contents. I should have not used the name and used different term to express my disappointment but I was very upset at the time of this posting.

Even if I was not happy with the person i was dealing with in the end, I should be fair with the person who took care of her shift seriously to help me cleaning the house, she was nice and kind, and they offered me a replacement.

But I have decided to move on to another agent and I will have to again pay for the agent fee, it is very unreasonable for the consumer. It should always have given a probation period, even a month.

Since the website doesn’t allow me to take off or amend the content(which is again not reasonable!)of this posting which I have requested(again not reasonable!), here is my update until they take my request.

DomesticOne spring cleaning service for 4 hours

Domestic One came to clean my mother's apt of 1700 sq feet on 23 June 2017. The charges were $480 for 3 persons for 4 hours. The scope of works as highlighted by the staff I called was comprehensive and included cleaning of kitchen cabinets and external light fittings. This is my first time engaging a 'professional cleaning co' as i thought they would be able to clean hard to access places like light fittings and external windows. I was willing to pay a premium price to get "professional cleaners" to do a thorough job. Boy was I wrong! 3 Malay staff that were fasting came and did not complete the work. One of the staff misrepresented and told me that he had cleaned all the fans and light fittings. As they were cleaning the kitchen when I arrived, I managed to check most of the areas but missed checking the light fittings that were still covered with layers of dust in the 3 bedrooms as I trusted what the staff said (I had checked that the light fittings in the living room had been cleaned).

The floor was also very dusty when I came I but I told myself so long as they had cleaned the other areas, I could easily mop the floor again. The staff hastily left after they 'cleaned' the kitchen.

After 1 week, I went back with my parents who had come back from overseas. I realised that the light fittings in the bedrooms were still covered with thick layers of dust and one stack of kitchen cabinets were completely untouched! Also, the cooker hob (which I saw one of the staff cleaning) was still covered with thick grease. I called the management staff to highlight the light fittings. I was shocked that the staff insisted that since it was more than 24 hours, any feedback will not be entertained. (He had not informed me of this perviously). He said I had to pay extra $60 for transportation for his staff to come and clean the light fittings. I appealed to him to waive the charges as the cleaners had failed to deliver the scope of works. He remained unrelenting. I then told him that I will feedback this lack of service and he said go ahead. Im shocked at his attitude. I also tried calling him at least 5 times after my feedback at various times. Every time I called his handphone, it went into an engaged mode, shutting me completely out from communicating with him. I never had problem calling him previously. My SMS to him also remains unanswered till today.

I would like to warn everyone about the poor service and unacceptable attitude of this company. The charges do not commensurate with the service. The company has failed to deliver what it promises, has been misleading and shows no effort to resolve its shortcomings. Save yourself from all the frustration and poor service.

I attach some photos to show the layers of dust on the light fittings in the 3 bedrooms and other miscellaneous photos (showing dust on my feet within seconds of entering the apartment).

DomesticOne Poor cleaning services

I learn from the website http://www.thebestsingapore.com/best-service/domestic-one-cleaning-service/ used for my HDB 3 rooms pre-moving contract cleaning. Very poor cleaning with 2 womens, I indian and china, both cannot hv communication themselves, I must translate for them. only cleaning for rooms and hall only. Not follow with the schedule worksheet advised and being told. Indian Cleaner have poor attitude and poor cleaning.

DomesticOne - Unreliable. Fast maid rotation

I had a BAD experience with this agency. Basically what they do is they match a cleaner with to your house. One cleaner worked a month for me then she said that she has a new work and doesn't want to clean anymore. Another helper showed up once. I trained her, walked to the bus stop.
