Hired Defense Tax to help me with a large tax bill. Everyone at Defense Tax was kind and helpful. Not only did they treat me with respect, they saved me over $40,000. I have nothing but great things to say and would recommend them to anyone in need of tax help.

Their staff are real professionals: knowledgeable, responsive, sensitive to the pressures one can feel from the IRS. They did everything they said they would and, in my case, we're able to resolve the matter to my benefit. I'd have no hesitation in referring DTP to a family member or close friend.

Excellent service from defensetax.com who handled our matter involving the controversial interest rate swap derivatives. As a small business litigation against a large bank was daunting. I am a business owner that fell behind in filing taxes for my employees and myself personally. The IRS came to my store and started taking money from the register as customers came in. I paid $1900 to retain the services of Defense Tax Group to assist me with over $21K in back taxes to both IRS and state. Defense Tax Group failed to produce relief of any tax debt, no help in negotiating a reasonable repayment plan or stop a wage garnishment. I neded up refinancing my home in order to pay off the back taxes. But, at least I paid almost $2K to Defense Tax Group to do absolutely nothing to ease the tax burden. I ended up giving them money and doing all the work myself. When I complained about it to them, they blamed me for not doing their job. Which will, no doubt, be their response.

I hired this company to help me with a tax issue in late March 2022. They agreed to take my case and I paid $1'000.00. I called after 1 week to check progress and they said the investigation was complete and I should receive a call within a week for the next steps. I called them today April 28, 2022 as no one had called me or sent any documentation and I was told my case was not that important to them. I asked them to refund the money paid since they did not provide and documentation that they had done anything. I was told no and that they have 200 other cases that are more important. Only after threatening with a ComplaintsBoard.com complaint did they finally send the information. This is a horrible company.

I called Defense tax in Hope's they could assist me with my back taxes owed to IRS. I received a call from Suzan A. and during our conversation they were very willing to take my case. Within 2 months I received a call from Suzan stating in working on my case collecting all the paperwork needed she was able to get the status of my back taxes in a uncollectable status. Suzan was AMAZING through the whole process working very close with me and able to bring me AMAZING news! I want to say anyone looking to get help on back taxes owed to contact DEFENSE TAX they work very hard and with diligence strive to succeed in making your situation better for you! I am INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED with the service I received. I started two years ago and I have not received the services I was promised. I have been reluctant to write a review and have put it off for months. On the very first day with my consultant I made my concerns clear about being scammed and that I was fully willing to trust the process. She seemed (is) very nice and reassured me that this was no scam. I submitted my 2018 taxes to be filed by the company only to find out a year later that they were never filed. It's been almost two years and my wages were garnished without any of the promised resolutions. I had to work with the IRS myself to resolve the problem. I am totally in the dark about my case. The consultant always puts the delay back on the lawyer or the fact that they need one more piece of information before they can move forward. It's only AFTER to inquire I call that I find out that there's one more thing they need. I wait for months in good faith only to find out that they are no farther ahead than my last call. My emails remain unanswered. I have asked for my records so that zi can approach the IRS on my own because will I am waiting on them I fear that the penalties I was hoping to avoid are compounding. I rarely provide bad reviews but I am at my wits end. I have been incredibly patient but my resolve has worn thin. I am now of the mind that I have been scammed and that my money is lost and my information hi-jacked. My suggestion and advice- DON'T be as trusting or naive as I was. This was not good business practices in my opinion. Sorely disappointed.
