Courts Singapore Courts sg - flexi plan

I am submitting this complaint due to the lack of understanding and empathy towards your customer. Courts works just like money lender, they will keep harassing and threatening you when your account is overdue.

This flexi plan account was under my name but the items bought were used by my a friend. So i have been paying every month for years now because my friend refuses to pay and i don't have the option to switch my name to his name. So his burden became my huge burden.

I was retrenched recently and I am having financial difficulties. I had called courts a few times telling them my situation. And each and every time i called telling them that I couldn't pay that huge outstanding amount, I can pay partially every month until i settle down, they will act like they understand and acknowledge my situation on the phone. But right after I pay the partial amount, a few days later I will receive letters from their debt collector harassing me to pay the full outstanding amount. This happened a few times already.

You guys should know that this is not a money lending service, and since Courts is reputable, you guys should be more emphatic on your customer's situation. Not that i am not paying at all, i am paying but partially.

How do you expect me to pay that huge sum of money if I don't have? And then give threatening letters to collect items at my house and going to my workplace? This is ridiculous and I don't feel safe at all.

Please do something about this matter and I hope Courts can be more lenient in giving solution to my repayment plan in due to my situation right now.

Courts Singapore Online order

I would like to express my outermost disappointment in Courts. On 5 Feb 2023, I purchased an online purchase for 2 iPhones with the knowledge that it is going to arrive 3-5 working days and I will be contacted within 1-3 business days from the day I placed the order. However, on the 5th day, I did not receive any email / notification from Courts updating me about the status of the item or arrange for delivery. I gave them a call, the customer service personnel told me that they will check with the online store, as they do not manage online purchases, and will get back to me on Monday. On Monday, I did not receive any updates, by then it was day 8, so I gave them a call again. This time round they say by Tuesday (which is day 9). So similarly I did not receive any updates so I had to call again on Wednesday (day 10). Once again, they told me they will contact the person in charged and get back to me on Thursday (day 11) as at that point in time, the team incharge of online purchases have left work. I agree, and I thought they will take the initiative to give me a call. They did not. At 3.30pm on Thursday, I gave them another call. This time round they finally say they will contact the person in charged right after I end the call. So what have you guys be doing the past few days when you could have contacted them earlier? At 6pm, you returned my call, telling me that the earliest date for the product to arrive in Singapore is on 22 Feb which is day 17, excluding delivery. Why is it that when the product is not available, you did not put up any notice / announcement on your Courts website? Or the least that you could have done is to email the customers and provide them updates instead of me going after you every single time. Why is it that you did not take the initiative to contact the customers? I placed an order on Courts online because it will be delivered within 3-5 working days, and every time I call the hotline, the automated message tells me that within 1-3 working days, I will be contacted by a delivery personnel. I am truly disappointed with the kind of standard that Courts is providing, I wasted 11 days waiting for something that do not even have an ETA. I am disappointed with the kind of customer service that Courts provides. No choice, I could not wait, so I requested for a refund, and your customer service personnel asked me why did I want to refund. It is the worst experience. Please work on this.

Courts Singapore Delivery of midea fridge item ip119200

I ordered a fridge from Courts (Nex) on 15 Dec but have experienced such poor service and poor support from Courts on scheduling its delivery that to date I have not received it!

On 15 Dec I ordered a Midea fridge. I asked for the delivery to be scheduled for 7 Jan, Sat after 3 pm. I was told by Courts that they are not in charge of delivery and that it would be the agent Midea who would deliver it so they can only let the agent know my preferred timing. On 6 Jan evening, I received a call from Courts (Damian) to inform me that the agent, Midea wants to deliver the fridge in the morning. I told them that I don't think I can rush back in the morning but I will try my best to make it by 1pm. Damian told me again that no guarantee agent can deliver after 12 pm. He asked if I cannot make it back in time, is it ok for me to re-schedule the delivery. I said ok.

On Sat, 7 Jan. I was outside and received a message from Midea delivery guy that said he was on his way at 11 plus. I told him I can't be back before 1 pm so don't deliver. I will re-schedule the timing for delivery to another day after CNY. He said ok.

When I called up Courts again subsequently to arrange for a re-scheduled timing I was told by Damian that there would be a re-delivery charge of $50. Why was I not told this from the start? To begin with I don't consider this a failed delivery. I already said I can't make it before 1 pm on Sat so don't deliver. How can this be considered a failed delivery? It is not like I didn't show up at the agreed time.

However, Damian just kept saying it is a failed delivery and I would have to pay the extra charge (He didn't even check with Midea on this). He said it cannot be helped even though I tried to explain the situation to him and I suggested that he refer me to some one who could make a decision on this. At the end of the session, he said it is best for me to just call Midea directly to arrange for the delivery and gave me the number.

I called Midea subsequently to arrange for the delivery but Midea told me that they do not have any records of my delivery in their system and that I would have to call Courts! So I called Damian again and I explained to him my situation. By now I was totally frustrated because Courts had told me to call Midea and now Midea is telling me to call Courts! I told Damian that I would like to arrange for the fridge to be delivered after CNY on 26 Jan, Thu afternoon. Again he told me that there is no guarantee about timing. Having suffered from the first episode, I told him that I needed to know what would be a good time for the delivery to take place so that I could take leave to be there. He told me that he can't tell me because it is Midea that would arrange the delivery. He said he will ask the Midea guys to call me. I think this is ridiculous. I feel like I am being pushed around from Courts to Midea. All I need is to arrange for a delivery date and time. Why is that so difficult? Instead of helping me problem-solve and supporting me in this, I only hear the guy at Courts keep repeating 'I understand', 'I understand' but actually he doesn't show understanding of the situation. All I want is for my fridge to be delivered to me.

Mdm Heng

Email: [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: I want my fridge to be delivered to me on a date and time that can be arranged.

Courts Singapore Invoice Tax: [protected] (Unsatisfactory delivery and installation service)

31/12/22 ~ Purchased a BOSCH washer

13/01/23 - Delivery has been scheduled between 11am to 3pm with a request to call 1 hour before delivery.

1. Delivery came at 12:30pm without a phone call

2. I questioned the delivery guys why they never called before they come as I to avoid a wasted trip when I can’t rush back on time for the delivery. Delivery guy replied if there is no one at home, they will try to deliver the 2nd time free of charge. But I was told by Courts there will be $30 penalty for 2nd time delivery.

3. installation was done quickly and they test the washer with an empty load for 15 mins wash and left once the washer starts running and told me no problem.

4. They left the empty base carton on my living room and left

5. After clearing the mess, I walked to the washer to realise the water is leaking between the tap and the pipe. I ran downstairs to find the delivery guys but they left.

6. I called the customer service hotline and explained what has happened and the delivery guys come back and took a look and said I need to buy a white tape to stop the water from leaking. I said I don’t know how to fix it and required assistance. He asked me to call back customer service and left.

14/01/23 - Customer service called back to follow up and I told her I need assistance as I have no clue how to fix the water leaking problem. She advised she will send someone on 17/01/23 7-9pm to fix it.

17/01/23 - I waited till 9:15pm and called the customer service to check if there is a delay but shocked to realise the job has been cancelled as the delivery guy has feedback that he has informed me to get a plumber to fix my water leaking problem.

This is ridiculous. I have told the Courts salesman of my current washer model TEKA before purchasing the BOSCH washer. He has confirmed no issues.

But now, the delivery guy is telling a different story and even cancelled the job without informing me.

I would need Courts immediate attention to fix this water leaking issues as I have waited 13 days for washer delivery and wasted another 4 days just to wait to have my water leaking fixed.

I have requested the customer service to escalate this issue and resolve by sending someone to fix my water leaking by tomorrow 18/01/23 at 7pm.

Thank you.

Courts Singapore Returns

Expericing terrible customer service concerning the return of a faulty product and refund.
Purchased Jabra Elite 85T earphones on the Courts online store on 2 Jan 2023. The delivery was then delayed to 10 Jan with no explanation given and against my wishes.
When the earphones came, I found a whispering/blowing sound on the left earbud. I then called customer service asking for a refund.

The first call went fine. The rep collected the relevant information and proceeded to check with her superiors. I made it explicitly clear that I wanted a full refund.
During the second call a few days later, the same rep returned saying Courts would only provide an exchange. Upon reminding her that I explicitly stated in the first call that I wanted a refund, she claimed ignorance. She also stated that Courts did not provide refunds, contradicting both Courts policy and Singaporean Lemon laws.

I insisted, and she left to check with her superiors. She called back later and confirmed the earphones would be collected on 16 Jan 2023, and following that I would receive a full refund. That working day has come and gone, and I hear nothing.
I am absolutely disappointed in this unprofessional handling of this return.
1/10

Desired outcome: I expect the earphones to be collected immediately and full refund processed.

Courts Singapore Customer service

Ordered some items online (fridge, washing machine, air cooler) in November 2022. Asked customer service to reschedule it to 20 Jan 2023.

Customer service misread date and rescheduled it to 23 Jan 2023.

Emailed a reply to them telling them that they scheduled the wrong date. No reply from them.

Had to go to Courts homepage and talk to customer service to reschedule. They rescheduled...wrongly AGAIN to 23 Jan 2023.

Had to go AGAIN to inform them to reschedule to 20 Jan 2023.

Later on, was able to take over my place earlier, so emailed them on 30 Dec 2023 to ask to change delivery date to 10 Jan 2023. No reply for six days.

Went AGAIN to homepage to ask the status. No delivery due to cooler out of stock. Asked them to just deliver the fridge and the washing machine on 10th Jan 2023.

Customer service or delivery department not willing to entertain request. Asked them to at least deliver on 20th Jan 2023 after 2 pm. Schedule was made to deliver in afternoon (3 pm - 7 pm).

Got contacted on 11 Jan 2023 about cooler out of stock and if I wanted to top up $30 for another cooler.

I agreed. Wrong payment link sent to me...AND THEN ITEMS WERE SCHEDULED FOR DELIVERY 11 am - 3 pm. I ASKED TO GET CORRECT PAYMENT LINK AND ALSO TO MAKE SURE TIMING WAS AFTER 2 PM.

ANOTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON SENT CORRECT LINK TO ME WITHOUT CONFIRMATION OF TIMING...

I PAID AND THEN I ASKED FOR CONFIRMATION OF TIMING OF DELIVERY AFTER 2 PM.

NO REPLY.

Desired outcome: CONFIRM THAT MY DELIVERY TIMING IS AFTER 2 PM on 20th JAN 2023. MAKE SURE THAT DELIVERY TEAM FOLLOWS THAT TIMING.

Complaints Board automatically marks any complaints as "Resolved" after a certain amount of inactivity by the customer.

Note: The issue was not resolved by Courts, I just kept pushing to get the correct date and time.

In any case, I've received the goods from Courts and this is the last time I order from them. If anyone reads this, please reconsider buying from Courts - the prices may be good, but the customer service will cause you to regret your decision.

Courts Singapore Courts SG online - refund

On 28 Dec 2022, made an online purchase with tax invoice no: [protected].
Selected available delivery slot on 31 Dec 2022.

Was casually browsing Facebook and noted quite a number of negative feedback and complaints on COURTS FB page in relation to order fulfillment/delivery expectation.

Long story short, I made two calls on 29 Dec and 30 Dec 2022 firstly to check on stock availability, order status and delivery fulfillment. On my second call, it was to request for a refund as I no longer has the confidence given the negative feedback on order fulfillment in FB page.

On 4 Jan 2022, I was informed that my request for refund /return could not be approved due to promo code being applied to the item and according to the terms and condition of promotional items, no cancellation is allowed.

I have informed the cust service personnel that I did not apply any promo code during checkout. In fact, in the product page itself it wasnt stated that the item was on promotion and only until checkout that I notice the system automatically showed that the item was a promotional item (something to do with buying laptop above $2900 (cant exactly remember the figure) and comes with free gifts).

Now, I personally feel that this is not fair to due to reasoning below:
1. It wasnt stated clearly that the item was on promo in the product page
2. Only upon adding to cart/checkout that the freebies applies.
3. I did not apply any promo code
4. Who on their right mind will reject freebies when the initial item you wanted was only the laptop and upon checkout you found out there are freebies.
5. I was further motivated by the delivery slot on 31 Dec 2022 (who doesnt want their item to arrive fast?)

After the long discussion with the cust service, Ravi, I understand that she has done all she can to assist me and unfortunately since my item is on promo, no cancellation is allowed and the delivery is scheduled to arrive.
Today, 05 Jan 2023, I have received the items but not with excitement but rather disappointing feeling that I was not able to negotiate appropriately and fairly for a refund.

I hope the COURTS SG team pick this up and have an internal review to consider a fair refund. All the items received are still in sealed condition and will continue to be until I hear from you.

Desired outcome: Please refund

Courts Singapore Installation was not done as promised

Installation of my Mayer induction hob was scheduled 24/12/2022 2-5pm. When installation guy came at 2.45pm he said the installation could not be done as the board he prepared was for another brand and he was not told the brand and measurements of my stove. I had made plans and arrangement for this installation to be done. This error by courts has caused much frustration and inconvenience to my family in a supposedly joyous season. The customer service hotline is atrocious, useless and offer no help at all. The installation should be done by 5pm. Please provide an explanation for the error and ensure the involved personnel sort it out and fulfil your duty to get installation done as promised. Courts Megastore. Invoice number [protected]

Desired outcome: Install my stove by today as per arranged.

Courts Singapore Waited a call for more than 2 months

I bought your aircon 1+5 warrenty in jun 2018. The invoice # - [protected].

The Daikin system4 stopped cooling function at the same day in May this year. Your technicians came down and said it's one of the FC leaking.

The FC repair took about one month, during that period all 4 rooms no aircon.

It backed to normal after repair. However after 2 months the same problem happened again: all 4 rooms not cool at the same day in Jul.

We called service line many times, and was promised to wait for a follow up call.

However untill now there's no such call.

I went down to your Tampines mega mall today, one of your service man helped me call the hotline.

I'm promised that aircon service will reach me today.

But it failed as well.

I have to say it's extremly FRUSTRATING.

Desired outcome: Call me asap

Courts Singapore Camera purchase

I purchased a camera in mid August, thinking I'd be able to use it in an upcoming trip in September but as of today (October) it's been exactly two months since the invoice date. I've made a total of 4 calls to customer service enquiring about the status of my delivery but they've only responded with a standard reply, ie bringing this up to customer service and providing me an update within 3-4 business days. Before my first call, i had received an email notification saying that my order was being prepared for delivery. But it got rescheduled on the day itself. Where it ended up going, that i do not know... I've tried to be patient but at this rate, I probably will only receive it in the next year...if I'm lucky..

Understand if it's a stock issue, but i would like further updates rather than them just saying that my order cannot be processed at the moment. Even if it was a stock issue,i cannot comprehend how this stock issue can drag up till two months and potentially even more.

They shouldn't have advertised the item if it is out of stock.

Desired outcome: More elaborate response and timely updates on my purchase. management to resolve this stock issue

Courts Singapore Item delayed with no compensation, also never call back to me.

They delayed my fridge from 3/10 to 19/10 with no compensation or whatsoever. I have to cancel our housewarming plan/event due to this as we shifts into new home on 8/10 without a fridge to use.

Customer service told me Sales team will call me within 1-2 days. I've waited for a week and still no news. Called customer service multiple times and they said the same thing, asked me to wait for their forever call and still nothing from them.

Called the CS on:

5/10/22

7/10/22

9/10/22

10/10/22 , and still did not receive any call from their sales team.

I wonder if I can bring this to CASE.gov.sg if I'm still being ignored. I feel I've given enough chances as a customer. For such a big company, they take their customer as a fool. Definitely rates -0 out of 5 stars.

Its 12/10/22 as of writing this and still no call from them.

Worst after sale service ever.

Didn't know they are that bad, wish I seen all their bad reviews before purchasing from them, such a huge regret. Going to boycott them after all this.

Desired outcome: Compensation and I'd appreciate a response.

Courts Singapore Sony tv delivery and basic installation

The Courts delivery person contacted me on Thursday 29th Sept 2022, he refused to unbox and install the TV when my wife and I requested.

This contradicts Courts policy on their website to provide a basic installation as part of delivery.

The sealed box was just left in our living room and they took the old TV.

We had to install ourselves, following the instructions.

When the TV was turned on, we saw the internal crack (attached)

This TV was clearly damaged during shipping and the delivery people new this, hence the refusal to install and inspect.

This issue was beyond our control and Courts are refusing to refund or replace the TV.

Desired outcome: Full or part refund.

Hi, I have received no communication on this since my complaint and 3 calls to courts where they refuse to honor any rights i have as a customer. Regardless of any remuneration to me i want the person who refused to install the TV made accountable.

The standard of delivery people is poor and they don't care because these kind of complaints are not actioned.

Regards, Dermot.

Courts Singapore Recently bought a new fridge

Recently bought a new Toshiba fridge from courts and it was delivered to my home on 23-Sep-2022, it was only much later that my family noticed that one of the edges of the fridge at the back was cracked and jagged. We requested for an exchange and were able to receive another one that arrived on 30-Sep-2022.

We scheduled for them to arrive after 4pm since no one would be at home, but the deliverymen decided to arrive at 12:30pm and we received several missed calls from them as I was still at work. When it was 4pm and we called them to ask when they were arriving, they told us it would be before 7pm.

They arrived sometime during 6pm and helped us move the fridge out and also notified us that there seemed to be some water damage on the fridge when they took a look at it from behind and also took some pictures of it. When moving the fridge one it also managed to cut the toe of one of the staff and caused him to bleed.

When they brought in the new fridge, the corner was still jagged, but since we didn't actually have any fridge to store all of our food we decided to keep it and request for another exchange later on. Delivery staff asked us to sign to signify that received the item, so we did.

After turning the power on for the fridge later that night, we noticed that even though we set the temperature settings for the refrigerator to the lowest, the fridge will only go to about 20 degrees lowest that we measured with a thermometer.

So we approached the Courts outlet that we bought this from, which was Simei outlet. We asked if we can still do an exchange and the staff that previously assisted us told us that "As long as you got sign the paper you cannot exchange already". We asked if we can talk to a supervisor and he called another staff over, an Indian guy who also repeated the same thing. He basically told us that we should have checked to see if the fridge was faulty before signing the thing. We explained that there was no way we could have asked the delivery staff to wait in our house just to confirm.

After that they basically kept repeating the same thing "Sign already then cannot exchange, you should have checked to see your fridge working already then sign". We then asked them if it was possibly to exchange for another fridge, they told us yes but we need to pay 30% of the item's value. Asking me to pay $300 for a faulty fridge that arrived damage twice in a row is a little too much don't you think?

Desired outcome: An exchange for a product that isn't faulty or a full refund.

Courts Singapore do not ever take up the flexi plan

Hi you all ! No matter how LOW the monthly installment sounds like or no matter what promotion they have , DO NOT TAKE UP THEIR FLEXI PLAN. They will only be nice when purchasing . Even with 2 CLOSED account being paid fully , when i have a problem paying for the 3rd and 4th one , they treat loyal customers like dirt. Harassing calls , sending lawyer letters and harassing at home too.

When asked nicely if can make payment a certain amount without the interest so high , give no chance . payment left only $1200 ,but end up next month have to pay $1800. Dunno how they calculate. such a big bully,

Before I receive this call , i did went down to Jurong East Courts at JEM to make said payment of $1194.48. To my horror, staff mention that cannot make payment cus server is down. I told them NO I HAVE TO MAKE TODAY. They said they cannot help.

Ok… nvm…. Then when the creditor that i liased with previously mention not to make payment, i texted the one who send me the above text. And to my horror AGAIN, this person replied me that the person that i have been liasing is not in charge of my account. ( is there a comission if your company recover amount from clients?)

And then comes the worst reply “ you need to make payment we cannot keep repeating”.

Hello? I said i have the amount but I don’t want to pay via axs or whatever [censored] because there wont be an official receipt and you guys can just charge anyhow again. But sadly the person i am texting with do not understand even with a voice note being send. Hi courts, so unethical. Dont ask me to email you.

Courts Singapore Delivery of fridge

I purchased a double door fridge to be placed in my yard. When the deliverymen came with the fridge, they saw that it was too big to fit through the door to the yard. I said I’d call the Courts staff to check what to do, but they just proceeded to rip out the packaging anyway. I said I needed to call Courts to check what to do but they made me sign the delivery handover form in any case as they said that I can sign first and then settle it with courts later. Now, courts is refusing to waive the 30% restocking fee. I find it ridiculous because I did tell the delivery man not to open the box but he did! I shouldn’t have to pay for the restocking fee if the delivery man proceeded to unbox the item even with my instructions.

Desired outcome: Courts to waive the restocking fee and provide a full refund

Courts Singapore Faulty Item Exchange

Courts service is really ridiculous! I purchase few items online and it was delivered 2 weeks after and 1 of the item was faulty. I called to request for an exchange but their procedures are ridiculous and their customer service are useless! I have to get the product company to come down my place in which i had to take time off work a day for that and then i have to submit the service order in which i emailed them a couple of times but NOONE reply until i have to call again to ask which day they will come to exchange but they can't tell me when and said will call me. Until today which is another 2 weeks after NOONE reply my email or even gave me a call. Like they sent me a faulty item which i FULLY PAID for everything! And this kind of service is what i get? I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM COURTS EVER AGAIN! The most useless service i ever encounter.

Courts Singapore Tv delivery and installation

Do not buy from Courts. I bought a TV and they had separate delivery and bracket installation teams who do not communicate. Installation guy came to my place when the delivery hasn’t arrived and kept calling me to follow up on the delivery. Unless you are happy to be a coordinator for their stupid services, buy from other places Audiohouse or Harvey Norman.
