Mike Hunt unloaded his 9 mm Ruger on the unarmed guy in the woods with two SLED agents as witnesses. Barbara Morgan took him to trial and struck a jury, so there must have been some compelling evidence against him. The jury strike alone from 150 potential jurors cost taxpayers approximately $3, 000. After costing us all that money Barbara Morgan made the decision not to prosecute Mike Hunt which essentially made him a puppet of the solicitor's office. Why do you think we have so much law enforcement corruption in Aiken County?

news flash if you do not like hunt vote for someone else people. It gets old to constantly post he is ged educated, corrupt, act like he shot and killed someone last night in the woods behind his house with a 9mm and post this on the forums as news and it was disposed 20 years ago without prosecution. Just saying all you guys beat a dead horse.

Mike Hunt acts like a part-time sheriff who we are paying over $93, 000 per year who wants to be a full-time firefighter in Clearwater. This criminal should be charged with misconduct in office, obstruction of justice and misuse of county government property.

All false arrest charges against Jeff Nation, Mike Toole, Jim Bouknight and Stephanie Kirkland were dropped/dismissed too. Mike Hunt is an SOB and we need to get rid of his sorry [protected]@@ along with his so-called incompetent command staff starting with dumb a## Dewayne Courtney. What comes around goes around you bunch of low-life pieces of sh$$

Former Solicitor Barbara Morgan stated in the true bill indictment that Mike Hunt killed Thomas Joel Lewis willfully and with malice aforethought against the laws of the State of South Carolina after unloading his Ruger 9mm pistol on him in the woods. Aiken County has the distinction of being the only county in South Carolina with a criminal sheriff who has been indicted for murder.

They called Mike Toole, Stephanie Kirkland, as well a many others in Aiken were characterized as criminals upon their arrest and/or indictment, but have never been found guilty by a jury of their peers for their respective alleged CRIMINAL offenses. There is no difference with Mike Hunt ust because he's a sheriff. Just because as you say he was not prosecuted doesn't mean that he's innocent of murder, just that a jury as not yet found him guilty. There is no statute of limitations for murder.

We are paying for way too many sheriff deputy cars in Aiken. Why are there so many deputy cars in Aiken? The crime rate can't be that high.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is overstaffed for the number of crimes committed in our county. We are paying somewhere between $5, 000 to $7, 500 per arrest warrant each day in Aiken County to fund the sheriff's office if you look at our daily cost to operate the sheriff's office compared to the number of arrest they make in the unincorporated areas of Aiken County (excluding the arrests made by city and town law enforcement - Aiken, North Augusta, Burnettetown, Salley, Wagener, Perry, New Ellenton, and Jackson). It shouldn't cost us over $10, 0000, 000 per year just to operate the Aiken County Sheriff's Office excluding the detention center. On average they are making less than five (5) arrest per day in Aiken County and most of them are not prosecuted by the solicitor's office because they are make on a knee jerk without the required evidence or all elements of the crime being present. They act like a bunch of cowboys being managed by redneck low-life criminal murderer Mike Hunt.

Probable cause means that it's more probable than not that this criminal committed murder. The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I wasn't aware of Mike Hunt's previous history but I figured out from the very beginning that he isn't a good sheriff and that Aiken County is quite incompetent and corrupt. At first, I refused to believe it but I could no longer deny the obvious. I'm not sure that he is a racist since he lets the criminals in certain low-income neighborhoods run rampant even when there are witnesses and proof his police officers won't arrest any of them. If this were a large city, Aiken County would be worse than Chicago. The place is full of unsolved homicides. What's even worse, a lot of times, they do know who did it and take forever to get things together and make the arrest. He must be racist only against certain groups, the criminals on Michoacan Drive do as they please. During holidays and other celebrations they shoot firearms up into the air (a felony). It is also known that the lovely people from Michoacan Drive traffic and/or have connections to people who traffic illegal drugs and illegal aliens but everyone ignores the elephant in the living room. These people are also connected to the ones in Edgefield and Saluda Counties who do the same thing. None of the sheriffs in those counties are doing anything either despite cocaine busts in previous years along with the discovery that the little stores were nothing more than fronts for their "organization." People who think that illegals are just here to work need to wake up. Big business pays them under the table, they pay no taxes but then through their kids get countless government benefits because the wife lies claiming to be a single mother. Then on top of that either Bush or Obama gave illegals a number which they can use to file for income tax and they file being honest at that point in time about having a spouse and the number of kids/dependents and get money back while the working-class taxpayer struggles to make ends meet. That's why these people have the nicest rides and plenty of money left over for parties, vacations, and round trip plane tickets for the whole family. Some have even vacationed in Europe.
Mike Hunt son and friends would you go to the South Side Sonic in their pickup trucks sit in the lounge chair on the back of the truck drink beer swear and throw the beer cans at other cars in the car hop I have called the police department while I was there and when they came out they said they're not bothering anybody head that be my son they would be in jail for the rest of their natural life open container minor drinking public intoxication corruption corruption corruption his son should have been making an example of himself in the public but what do you expect the sheriff can't control his son how is he supposed to Hanover County corruption corruption corruption
