sujatha called n informed me of what treatment you got i was really feeling yr pain n anger...it’s really sad...but sweetie...we all make mistakes and it happened...I would have said the same thing if I hadn’t got my money believe me as I had lost hope and also couldn’t sleep thinking of my stupidity but if it hadn’t been sujatha...I wouldn’t have done it... it was just a mere luck that we didn’t get our cv...infact I too had send her an email saying pls. don’t processed with my credit card and I’m not interested in "BUILDING CV", but no use...then i had gone and asked her very sweetly with a SMILE...but I can tell you one thing it’s not you only now there will be many ppl. with you in the same boat...because if they start refunding then how would they survive ...in the posh place and the salaries of all the So called Executive front officer or executive manager ...whatever they would like to call themselves...now don’t be dishearten...and think of it that your 300/-have gone but believe me each person at Core Elements will pay 3000 for their medical treatment...because this kind of cheating will not let them live a healthy life...

sujatha Iam the same person who called you yesterday. Actually i was very disappointed bcoz the police (who were supposed to guard the laws and help the general public at these point of times) didnot support me at all. I was on my hope that at least if the police comes there would be something that would be decided against them once and for all but to my surprise nothing happened and we had to return back.I told the police that what they are doing is completly cheating and i have lost my money but at least do something for others who become prey of these frauds but they said no what they are doing is business. After all we are expats and no one is going to support us. I felt really sad thinking about it . I came to know from the security that around 75% who come to the building are the visitors of core element .

I think what we can do is make peopl aware about this through live radios, message boards etc...but believe me they would pay for it someday and it would be big enough that they would not have dreamt of... bcoz that would be curse of the poor people and God would never forgive them for that

This is what exactly happened with me

I had been called for an interview at core elements on 24th april and the details on the venue were sent through sms. They lure people giving promises on high salary. First they would ask your expectation and then they would say a higher amount. The venue was at sheikh zayed road, same building of Dubai islamic bank, 23rd floor. The lady who spoke said its for the post of admin assistant and basic would be 7500 and altogether 10000 plus . When i went there, the guy at the reception directed to a hall where lot of other candidates were seated. On inquiring, each of the candidate had a different post to tell for which they were called . The interesting part was that the hall and the cabins where the candidates were interviewed had a big distance . I had been given a appointment at 10.30 but had to wait 2 hours to get my turn.

There was this lady who interviewed me asking some basic questions . Then she said there is one vacancy with their client at fzne and an upfront one time fee of AED 300 had to be made if i want to proceed. I said i dont carry enough money with me and I would make the payment later but she said you would certainly be having a card and also she made a comment that time is moving fast and the vacancy might get filled up. To further convince me she said i have the details of the vacancy right now with me and i would give you the details once the payment is made. Actually she forced me to make the payment. Even I didn’t give a second thought as i was eager to grab the opportunity and hence made the payment.

After i had made the payment i asked her for the details of the vacancy. she said ok you do one thing you send me a mail and i would reply back with the details . But when i left from there i had a feeling all the way that i shouldnt have made the payment as every thing that happened back at core element seemed a bit fishy and i became suspicious. i went home and send a email to her and as expected she just sent a acknowledgement. I went to google and searched for complaints on core element. Then I realized that I have a made a big mistake and this was an act of cheating. I was very upset and send her a message saying that I want my money back as you guys really don’t have real jobs. She called me in the morning saying that their competitors have actually posted these messages and they have filed case against them .(What complaints would they file when they have lots of complaints against them from the general public). She said she really has the job and would send the details right away . She just have to amend my cv as per the clients requirement and send the details to the company. I said ok send me the details . I would check and if iam not convinced I want my money back. Later in the evening she send me mail giving the companies name and the post and nothing else. I checked with that particular company if any such vacancies exist . They told me that no such vacancies exists and further added that these people are frauds and they really don’t have any real jobs. That evening I send her a message asking her to refund my money but received no response . Also I tried her mobile No. but there was no response and I tried contacting her through various other no. but got only excuses from her co workers. At last she picked my call and said she would call me back as she is in a meeting but later there were no calls.

Now the important thing ..When you pay AED 300 they give you a receipt stating cv builder only and sign a contract with you which says only about the cv stuffs. When they talk with you they would say it as job placement and the additional service as cv building. After all this, she send me a cv just for name sake as they want to be safe saying that the amount that they have taken was for cv building and they have send it to us. Guess what ! after some days they would send you a message saying that the client has not shorlisted you . Obviously that’s the only thing that they can do b’coz the client himself is not aware of any such vacancy.

I have lost 300 dhms and I don’t want any one else to have similar situation. So I request everyone not to give money to any of the recruitment co. which i believe is against dubai labour laws. They really don’t have any real jobs with them. So Beware of these Frauds

Did i told you that i also went to police station to register a complaint but after listening the location of Core Elements is on sheikh zayed road, they straight away told me to go to court.
I also spoke to one of the police man whom i see daily below my house and told him the whole story. He adviced me the same thing which i already did earlier i.e. go to bur dubai police station and file a case.
I told him that i already tried doing this but cops told me to go to court, so he told me that he can come with me to core elements. But i still wonder how true is that as core elements are not scared from anybody. They are openly saying "GO AND CALL POLICE" I think we common people cannot do anything except writing our feelings on websites.
Is there any way that we can aware people not to go for interview in Core Elements?

Today i received a call from a lady ( dont want to mention her name ). she had paid 300/- on april 24th i think and follow up in person n mail, she atlast received a mail from them with the company name and posting - when she called up that company they had said they had cancelled their contract a couple of years back n also mentioned them not to use their name.

Bad luck, she told about this to that Afshan and asked her money back, but they gave a paper - her redesigned CV n told no refund, she stood outside the office with her baby, security was called - when she explained he left, after some time police was also called as she was telling all the candidates passing - company lossing business - the police checked and said that they cant do anything as she received the CV, and moreover thats business.
A New meaning for business - esp in this part - my God - I couldn't beleive they said that - and said if she still wants to file a complaint she can, but should be ready to come to court WHENEVER they call!

I checked DUBAI FORUM - in that a case has been registered against this people loooooooooooooooooooong time back - Wonder what happened.

I appreciate her courage for going thro this - no hopes to teach these type of companies a lesson - what are we doing - just posting our feelings - thats it - We are all just mice group waiting for the right one to bell the cat

I anyway requested her to post her ordeal here and a copy to Gulf News ( namesake) and also to that companywhose name has been mentioned by these fraudesters. hope she does that.

I GOT MY 300Dhs BACK ON THURSDAY 29TH April 2010 as my Fiance spoke to Mr. Anas and explained him the situation. Mr. Anas spoke to her very politely and calmly and adviced her to visit their office on 29th April at 6 pm. We both visited them and without any trouble or wait, they gave our money back.
Please dont let them eat your hard earn money...Go and fight for it...as 150dhs is very small amount for them, but for us and few others it is very big amount.

That is true, i been in there office and unfortunatly i paid 150, - to them, as they explained to me, that this is fee for membership in there data base .I regret big time, they never call me...

i also got a call from the same company stating that one recruiter is willing to hire me on monthly salary of 30000 dhms. i asked the name of the recruiter.then the core element person told me to come prepared for the interview so that they can open the name of the recruiter.this was very suspicious and i saw the google search engine for core elements and saw the numerus forums of their fraud.i went there fully prepared and when they asked me to pay 300 dhms to upgrade my cv, i denied strongly.i came back with a decision for everything hence forth i will i will ask my internet friends to guide me

that a great info, where people can trouble them day n night till they get there money back

whoever goes there for the refund - things to follow

1 - atleast take one person along with you - just for chatting in the waiting room.
2 - the original receipt
3- first tell softly to the reception guy that u have come for refund
4 - when mentioning the reason to that Afshan, let your voice be strong and bold.
5 - dont leave the place till you get your money. - tell u cant go anywhere
6 - help youself with the coffe / tea - n number times if they take long time to pay.
7 - just take your money back and happen to meet any candidates - pass the message.

thank you all n a special thank you to payal vaya n sujatha, , , believe me I never do this kind of stupidity...but ...sometimes it happens...yes we went @ around 4pm and at the reception I told the guy we would like refund (me, sujatha, and my sis -she just drive us there) @ first he was like 'U ALL WANT REFUND', then I met Afshan n told her with a smile I’m not satisfied with yr service n not interested. On which is said sure no problem and I’ll give u back the money but have to wait for 4 HOURS down the lobby of the bldg.as the accountant will come in after 1930...hhmmmmm I thought to myself noooooooooo problem lady...I’m very much here n we waited in front of her office in a different reception they had ( I guess they have another reception for Refund ppl) me, my sis n sujatha n her 2 cute dancing kids...jumping around the whole office...so within 20 mins, she couldn’t take it anymore...We got our money...so I guess the trophy goes to sujatha's kids for doing our part of shouting and playing in the office … I would just like to mention to all that if any1 has original receipt then go ahead, n ask for refund n don’t move out of they office, stay put…..they have had many cases before us so they already have a printed letter FORMAT for refund on which u sign and declare……..they are more neverour than us, as they don’t want us around to let their clients run away…..BEST OF LUCK TO ALL…

Hi folks - Great news is ME & SURAIYA got our money back.

We went there on thursday 22/4 around 4 pm. Suraiya with here sister n me with my 2 kids ( as i dont have anyone to take care of them) . WE told that reception guy about our visit. he made us sit there itself. Ms Afshan called him over intercom and he explained, she first called Suraiya, where she explained why she wanted her money back n was told to wait till their accountant comes back which will b after 6.30pm - and told us to wait down in the bldg reception - Suraiya said we will wait just there.

My turn - I told i havent received any call, CV and also not able to reach the person interviewed me, for that she said, best way is emailing them, said thanks anyways for the info. told me to wait - I told her to make it fast as i cant hold my children to make them sit queit for a long time.

She called Farzana, the person who interviewed me, they both discussed and we happened to c a couple of CATWALKS by them. then she called me first n paid my money. GOT MY AED 300/-. asked her y in the first place they are taking money if they are not able to keep up the promises. this is cheating -

she says - SEE WE ARE PAYING YOUR MONEY BACK JUST TO CLEAR THE MISCONCEPTION WE HAVE. THEY ARE NOT THE AGENCY WHO CHEAT! da somebody pl explain what they say n do matches.

after me Suraiya too got her money back and we came out.

no agency is perfect - to survive and to b in the market - they advertise - n gulf news too need their money to run the show.
Its up to us to be careful and take care of ourself and our money.

Who ever goes 1st thing they will tell is we have to redo the CV. As if no one knows what CV is.. (How every one can be wrong in making CV?) They think every one is fool coming here.

They make all fake promises which are never ever fulfilled.. They are liers not even ashamed of what they are doing. They seriously don’t have Humanity, principals or morals. . People coming with what all circumstances.. wht all situation. . wht all problems looking for a job & these BOODLY, SCOUNDRELS, ###, RASCALS, sit nicely & cheat these people.

The Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, Humaid Bin Deemas, said that it is illegal to collect fees from jobseekers as it is against the Labour Law.

Last time i went to take the refund but the didn't give my money...
Then i stand at the enterence of their building and who ever was coming from Core elements office i made them aware about them and send 2 people back Core elements to get their money back at the same time :-D and they got it... :-D
we all can ao something like this... if they will not give us money back, we will spoil their customers. Atleast we will not let them cheat some innocent jobseekers... :-)

I am Sujatha Raghunath, a housewife. Due to this recent recession and financial problems i am now forced to look out for jobs.
I have registered myself in a couple of websites like Bayt, Naukri and monster. Apart from that, I am mostly on the look out for job in the Gulf News appointments and Classifieds.

I Wish Gulf News runs an article on the Job scam by many recruitment and management consultancies to create an awareness among the desperate job seekers. As a number one media to reach the most in the UAE, I put my request to publish an investigated article on this issue.

I received a call from " Core Elements" on the 4th of April asking to come for an interview the next day and received 4 sms with address and time of appointment. When I visited their office in Shk Zayed Rd at 10.30am ( appt time 11.00 am) I saw many candidates waiting. when i spoke another candidate, came to know she has been waiting for more than 1 hour. They called me around 11. 45 am. Met Ms. Farzana, who Said the Marketing Executive position is for Canon Group, When inquired how they got my CV, She said the Company forwards all the CV and they Shortlist the Candidates. Also said, as my Resume is not impressive they will correct the same as per the co. requirement for which the fee is AED 300/- and if I take the service i will be shortlisted. on an impulse I paid the same and till date waiting for their response.

When I called their office many times in between, no one responded - the call goes to the mailbox, worse is even that mailbox will be full at times. At last I spoke to Ms. Sarah on 15 april and left a Msg to Ms. Farzana - No response.
Today - 18th April Trying from the morning - All i get is a Message asking to leave my Msg in the Mailbox.

the important thing here is the amount of stress one goes thro'. in these hard time even a dime counts, AED 300/- is a big amount to many. on top of that, phone calls and the thought of being cheated. I personally felt depressed. How many desperate people in the look out of job would have gone thro this situation.

Core Elements is still active in Dubai. Yesterday my wife got an interview call from them and then they sent the Sheik zyed road office address through sms. I was little suspicious and did a google search about the "Core Elements Dubai". The first search result itself pointed to this site telling that it is a job scam. Thanks guys, we saved the money and time.!

I am Gulf News reader since 23 years. I would like to let you know what’s happening in the name of job offers in your Appointment. I was called for an interview from a well known company in Dubai - CORE ELEMENTS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY. When I got a call from them saying I’m short listed and I don’t have to pay anything. They were about 30 people sitting at 6pm time and more were coming in, I didn’t give any test -speed typing or letter typing. They charged me with 310dhs (which they usually ask for CV building) from me last week and now when I m following up for my application status, they are not responding. Not answering the calls and not replying to mails.

Core elements is number one cheater company in UAE..., yet Gulf News appointment has placed many job ads on behalf of them despite of many people complaining about their scam.

Using the name of big companies like canon and later on it becomes kanon.
All contact numbers are fake. Big commitments by them will never be fulfilled. I also noticed the huge trophies kept in the office do not have any accreditation, or any indication what they were earned for, they are simply trophies bought for show.

I know there are a very less chances of getting refund when already paid. But I would like to bring under desperate jobseekers notice that it’s our hard earned please don’t give it to these kind of company who are fooling and getting their salaries out of us and running their offices at a posh area of Sheikh Zayed Road.

Its our hard earned money, so why to loose to some cheating agencies - i am a fool to give them AED 300/-. I saw this msg too lately - now its AED 300/- which i paid for repairing my CV. I just called MOL to place a complaint against them - they said i need to register a case with Police. Wondering whether Ecomplaint is possible with the Police department where i dont to go in person - does anyone know about this.
Also I sent a mail to the Gulf News requesting them to issue n alert the desperate job seekers.

i was called by the same company as well. Fortunately after my research i decided not to pay them a penny. However i did give them the benefit of the doubt and met them. The girl who interviewed me had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. She couldn't speak proper english and when i tried asking her to give me more information about the company she got nervous and came up with some story. Apparently some unknown world famous group has opened its hotel in dubai. what is still surprising is that there were sooooo many people there and i saw them charging desperate job seekers 150. She then went to ask me for money by saying they will change my CV and make sure the company ires me and when i said absolutely not, she got nervous and said she will contact me by email. STAY AWAY and if anyone has contacts who can help shut this criminal activity please assist.

They call me for interview at 7:30 PM so i went there, i just wait there in the waiting room for my turn and also there was alot of other guys to make interview. when i got in for interview they ask me some typical question about the job so i just asnwer it then the lady who take my interview her name was Jodi ###, she asked me to take memebr ship by paying 300 Dhs. so i did the payment and she told me that surely you will be selected for our client (Cannon) and also later on I will arrange an interview with my client can you guarantee that you will be selected” then I went speechless… even if I’m so confident about myself how will I guarantee that I will be selected by the client. so when i came back from there my friend told me that they are fraud and they did the same with him...

So guys i am trying to take some legal action againt them as per UAE rules and regulation and also warns you all guys that be careful from that ###...

I totally agree with all those complaining, my husband went for an interview day before yesterday and ended up paying AED 300, as neither of us knew about all these complains, yesterday we went to Core Elements and got the money back, that too we were shocked that there was no fuss made, no argument etc. I guess daily they must be refunding. So Sunil please do go to them and ask for a refund of your money.

Also notice that the huge trophies kept in the office do not have any accreditation, or any indication what they were earned for, they are simply trophies bought for show.

Please do publicise this issue via email, since till date I have not received a single mail alerting me of this company, or publicise via any other method, because not all people check the authenticity of a company before going for interviews and because there are so many innocent people out there who will keep hoping that one day the money they have given will fetch them a good job.

I urge all those who paid, to gather the guts and ask for a refund,
I also spoke to a news reporter and she said that the matter has already been reported to the muncipality and that so far there is
no change as the company still continues its operations. The reporter
also said that many of the jobseekers have got their refund. All you need to do is gather the guts and get your hard earned money back. If need be say that you will go to the police as it is illegal to take money from jobseekers

I totally agree with all the comments, coz i already paid 300 DHS to them and they have send me a CV which is useless. My own CV was 10000 times better than that...This company should be banned as they are cheating with each and every person looking for JOB...Thanks to all for updates.

thanking u all guyss, i was preparing my self & my husband told me to check information about the company, and i found so many complaints. now i am feeling completely satisfied, i got enough information & clear warning please who are getting contacted by them, be careful.

Even My wife got a call from this company when told we have accepted another offer they explained about their offer very colorfully in a hospitality industry& with 50% more package & later got a sms about the person & venue of interview But when we were not sure we researched about this company on the net then we got to read lot of fraud complaints ... so we skipped the interview just to make sure if it is not fraud they would follow up but till date no calls... I really thank this forum which helped me from this fraudulent incident

Hi, i am Aamir Mustafa From Barclays Bank. Before 2 days i receive call from [protected], Company name: Core Element. and they inform me that i have interview on 22 March, Time 2.00PM and they told me that its compeletely Free so i told them that i will come for interview. They told me the interview about FMC Company Dubai as they are dealing in Many products so i confirm them that i will come for interview. i went there. many people were there for interview. i also receive sms on my Cell from that number. also receive sms Reminder from Core Element. and in interview Farzana Sheikha Was asking for AED 300/-. Here i want to confirm you that She was an indian lady not any arabic lady. but i decline her proposel to pay AED 300/- as i was aware this type of dummy companies. so i will apeal to Dubai Police to take action against this type of companies so Dubai can save Curruption and people will more trust on Dubai Government.

afetr reading all these comments I would like to add my comments.

I was interveiwed by them on the 2/03/2010 by the lady Ms Khadija . During the interveiw she recommended a job at Canon. the bait she put across for me is that i owuld have to redo my CV or in her words make it to suit the client requirements. Also she was insisting that the company will do up my whole CV & they will send it to me within 7-10 days. Though I have managed to get high profile jobs during the last 7 years in dubai, with my current CV I wanted to give this a try.

The charge for this service was DHS 300. Though my gut feeling was to decline this I still went ahead and paid this amount.I was asked to sign an agrrement to the affect of this service.

It has been almost 3 weeks & no CV or an interveiw in sight.

I contacted them on the 15/03/10. As per the receptionist Ms Khadija is on vacation & my requirement will be handlled by someone else whom she promised will contact me on or before 18/03/10.

When I tried calling them today there was no answer.

Ir seems to me these people are up to no good & as responsible citizens it will be our duty to bring them to the notice of the authorities.

I will try again for a possible reason from their side for the delay, & failing which gives me no choice but to take this to a higher level.

Thank God I saved my 300 AED

I had interview in Al Waseela Requirement & Consultancy and I paid 100AED as membership fee. After two days, I got a call from [protected] saying you are selected.
7000 basic salary + accomodation + food +transportaion was my package. Come for signing agreement with 300 AED, PP Copy, Visa copy, and 4 Photos

I thought my dream job c0me true. I decided to quit my present job. Bought new shirt and pant for signing agreement. Never thought it was a fraud. Just googled and found these comments

I already lost my hard earned 100 AED and precious time
