Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

I had been referred by a friend to buy this product and so I searched for the site to buy it from and found these complaints but I don't think that they hold water.
I was initially scared away from the product by the complaints I found but my friend was adamant that it was something that I should try due to the success that they have had.
I then went through the website and was able to find their customer service number right away which I then called and spoke to an agent that was friendly and professional and was able to address all of my concerns that I had after reading some of the complaints on this forum.
I went ahead and ordered the product and and an extra supplement from them at the same time, knowing that I would be treated as they stated in their"terms and Conditions" based on whether I called in to cancel or not. I received my products in about 4 days and have been using them with good results.
This product has helped me to get off of diet soda and gives me the energy to make it though the day without crashing and I have also lost about 5 pounds since I started.
I have also referred this product to some of my co workers only to have them deal with the same concerns which I explained didn't seem to be warranted based on my experiences.
That is why I am responding to this forum at this time. I want to make sure that people who can be helped as I have will have the opportunity to do so. I also want to make sure to share my positive experience with this forum so that things are brought into perspective and let people know that the buyer should always do their due diligence and take responsibility for their actions as should the company who sells a product or service.
I have made many online purchases and most of them have been very pleasant and productive as has my purchase of Ultra Lean Tea.

I also bought this product and have a different opinion about the company. I signed up through a google link and have had no problem getting ahold of the company, as I have called them twice. I just went to the offer page and the phone number was on the top left of the page. When I called in, i was on hold for about 40 seconds. Don't know where you bought the product from, but i have no issues with the company or the product. Oh, and the monthly cost of the product was stated right under the order button. I guess I actually read what is put before me... maybe y'all should do the same.

Well I have to say I'm amazed! After all the run around I did finally receive my credit. It just hit my account today.
Hope you are all as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Hey, same with me. Thanks fro al the information on where to report. We al need to get right on this. The manager is named Falon. I have spoke to her twice and she won't answer the phone now. She promised the charges would be removed two months ago. that has not happened. I did not authorize additioanl charges on my card. In fact I called them to tell them I did not want to be on the auto ship program whereby they ship to you every two to three dweeks and charge your account. It appears they are floating (kieting) money. EX: charge you card the amount of $69.87
and it makes their bank account look good. They promise a credit when
the customer complians or calls in to request a credit. They either don't credit your card or they give you some phony excuse. Today the excuse was "my credit request got stuck in the "q" and theyare pushing it through."
This is a scam and they are frauding the public.

Please to to the Department of Commerce State of Utah and make a compliant. Here is the number [protected] or go to www.consumerprotection.utah.gov Fill out a complinat online and FAX it to [protected]. Please don't allow these rip offs to continue. Put a dent in their sales organization by filing a compliant.

Also please forward this information on to everyone in your e-mail address book. Request that they forward it on. This will put them out of business.

Hello:
This message is for Falon: I handed my credit card charges over to my attorney. My attorney had called two times and spoke to Falon and
Falon does not even give my attorney the courtesy of speaking without
talking over her. (My attorney taped the conversation and played it back for me)
DO NOT BELIEVE FALON. WE NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND PLACE A CLASS ACTION SUIT. THIS IS FRAUD. THEY ARE KITING FUNDS. MAKING THIER BANK ACCOUNT LOOK FAT. IN THE MEANWHILE WE ARE BEING RIPPED OFF . HERE IS THE SCAM"
Your bank and mine will wipe the charges off the card and in the menawhile you file a fraud report with you bank card company. In most cases the card company won't go after the scammers because it cost to much and they don't have the personnel. With this company, lean green tea/Falon CSS they will prusue the charges and help to close them down.
Put a dent into their pockets and they will have to move on or hopefully go to jail for fraud. Most of us did not give permission to charge our cards over and above the shipping and handling. The continued shippment & charges are fraud. The comsumer complinat division in Utah will take your compliant and they will investigate it or you can call Mike Pitts [protected] and leave a message on his telephone. He is investiagating my compliant. I hope they go to jail. (Falon especially fro lying.)
Thanks

I read the terms and conditions and knew that if not cancelled I would be charged.
I never received the product and am still waiting for credit for the shipping and handling because they charged me and then cancelled my order. At least since my order was cancelled I am not being charged the refill amounts that others are. It's the principal of the thing, as far as I'm concerned.
I don't think that this company cares whether you read the terms or not or if you cancel or not. They just keep stealing the money from your account and saying you haven't cancelled or they have no record. There can't be this many complaints without a legitimate reason.
I called again on friday and got a very nice guy that actually seemed like he was trying to help. He was the most helpful so far. He told me something that I don't think he was supposed to, but I didn't call this morning to verify. I will be calling tomorrow AM though.
What he told me was ... that the supervisors are only available from 8am to 11am Central time.
So do the time zone math for your area and lets jam up the phone lines!

If anyone had taken the time to read their terms and conditions at the bottom of the page, they would have known what they were getting into. There is responsibility on the consumer's part. I would never have ordered something like this without first knowing the conditions of the offer.

The same thing happened to me! I was on hold a long time and they are not nice or helpful either. They charged me twice within 15 days of each other $69.87 with no product sent to me and I had no idea they charged me! I am not happy with this company. I will never order from them again. Some 14 day trial that ended up to be.

For anyone like me who really needs to be better about drinking more fluids but has a hard time drinking boring old water. There is a Lipton green tea powder that you can buy in the store. They do taste pretty good. They have a few differant flavors. They are in the to-go packets so you just add it to a 16oz bottle of water. I imagine its probably better for you then whatever they send you in this scam.
Anyway, it has helped me to drink more water and I have lost a couple pounds since starting. No idea if its the green tea or just being better with fluids.
Cost ranges from about $2-$4 depending on where you buy ($2 at Wal-mart).

Well I called again on Wednes (10/15) to try to get past the call center to someone who could actually give me some info on the status of my credit. Paris 122 again and she ended up putting me on hold for about 6minutes just to come back and tell me the whole speil again about wait 10-14 days and if the refund is not there call back. I think she purposely left me on hold just to see if I'd hang up. Yay for unlimited cell minutes. I was in traffic anyway so just tied up her line. I'll be calling back today. Hopefully I'll get someone new.
Has anyone actually received a refund?
Did you talk to someone besides the call center at the [protected]?
Thanks for any help (or hope) anyone can give.

I wished i had seen all the complaints before ordering the 15-day trial. If I hadn't called I wouldn't have known about the 30 day pills they also sent me @ $34.95 for which I didn't order and also the Fit factory membership that had a trial membership for 21 days. And guess what...if you didnt' cancel that you would be charged 19.95 per month for that too. I issued a report to BBB and hope this helps speed up the credits and cancelations.

I ordered and waited...and waited... they charged me for the product... and I waited. Never received product. So I called. I was initially (9/23) please with the response I got from the girl on the phone Becca 102. She had a hard time finding my information and said that the call had been cancelled without shipping. But they had already charged me and taken the money from my account. She said was going to refund the $14.95 (2day) shipping but had to send it to here supervisor for approval. About a week later - no refund in my account so I called again. This time I got Rowan (sp) 228 (10/3). He was very nice and looked up the info. He told me that my info was on the back-up system which he was confused on but told me that the refund should take 10 business days and it had only been 7 so to check at the end of the week and call again if not there. Now for yesterday (10/13). No refund yet. I gave them a couple extra days to be "nice". So, Got Paris 122. Explained that info was on back-up system she found it no problem. She had no way of seeing anything in the account and would have to send it to her supervisor. I asked her to put some (not so nice notes) in the call but she said she couldn't put notes in the call just could send it to the superviser. I asked to talk to that person but she said "he will only tell you the same thing that it will take 10 days and if it doens't show up in your account call back". Well I ended up just hanging up on her, I was so pissed off at the time. So, basically you have to call back every 10days so they can "send" it to a superviser to have them do nothing with it. Then call in another 10 days and so on til you give up. Believing this to be true...I have vowed to call back today and ask directly for a superviser or someone in finance or whoever can look at the calls since obviously these call center people don't have access or so they say...and then call daily til I get my refund...good thing for unlimited mobile minutes. and if I call during my commute times it wont waste me anytime I'm not already wasting in traffic anyway.

I have been going around and around with these people over my refund. I originally requested it back on Sept 8. I called on Oct 4th to check on it and I was told there had been an "error" and that she would email accounting so they could put it through manually. She also said it would take 2-5days and it would be in my account. Well here we are at Oct 14th...10days later and I have yet to recieve my money back. I called again this morning and have now been told the refund has been approved. The poor girl on the phone was very sympathetic unlike the rest and was going to print out all of the documentation of my phone calls to show her supervisor. Hopefully I'll get my money this week.

After reading a lot of good things about the product itself when I clicked on the link from Facebook I was quite interested in trying out the “Free Trial”. Well I got as far as putting my full name in the "name on credit card" area and just as I was about to put in my card number I felt I should look for any possible side effects. I had already read the terms and conditions, and the privacy policy and new that OK I would have 14 days to try the product and then I could call and cancel if I wanted to or they would automatically withdraw each month for the product. And I made sure to check the box "NO just send me my Free Trial Sample". So I go looking for some side effects and come across this site. I am so glad I did because I had my order in another window that I went back to and erased my name then I hit the back button and all my other info, name, phone, etc was gone. That better be the end of it. And ya like the other comment said you should have to hit the CONFIRM ORDER button "click only ONCE" as is stated on the page, in order to have the order go through. How could they still be able to send you something and charge you when you didn't technically finish the ordering process? VERY UNCOOL! Even if I didn't put anything in the Card Number spot I am a little uneasy about even putting my name on the form at all.

My advice and I will be listening to it myself, is to only shop on line using Pay Pal or another trusted way of purchasing something. It is so not worth the risk and I will be going to my neighborhood store for something more trustworthy.

THANK YOU to all who posted on here, and I am SO GLAD I was able to read these first.
Good luck to you all!

BTW comment by adding onto this site, I don't check unknown emails. Thanks

Hi!
Don't let these "AH" get away with this. Go below and
get the number Ihave included and call the attorney generals office and make a compliant. They are located in Utah. The AG office will investigate them and make their lives a living hell. I for one am fed up with the internet and ordering honestly and getting dubed with additioanl charges and haveing to spend my time calling to get it removed (if youcan get their attention) off my credit card. Each state has a (AG) and that is part of their job to investiagate these kinds of practices.
Look, don't sit hti saside, print it out and make the call. Let's help others as we have now the experience of these businesses that do unethical business.
Thanks,
Darby Keep reading and call!

I spoke with a supervison today her name is Falcom, manager. (she claimed to be.) I got charged $139.74.
I have not received anything.
I REQUESTED THEIR LEGAL DEPARTMENT CALL ME
LAST WEEK. TODAY I LEARNED THEY DON'T HAVE A LEGAL DEPARTMENT.
LOOK! Here is what we all need to do. Go to the internet and type in UTAH ATORNEY GENERALS
Once you get a telephone number (too free) call the
number and make a compliant over the phone.
LET'S DON'T LET THESE UGLY DUCKLINGS GET AWAY WITH THIS.
BELIEVE ME, THIS WORKS. THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE WILL INVESTIGATE AND SHUT THEM DOWN. I TOLD ULTRA LEAN GREEN WHEN I ORDERED TEH TRIAL SAMPLE THAT I DID NOT WANT AUTO SHIIP. THEY TOTALLY IGNORED ME.
NOW LET'S MAKE IT HELL FRO THEM. I KEEP THEIR LINES BUSY ALL DAY AND I SUGGEST WE ALL DIAL THEIR NUMBER AND LAY THE PHONE DOWN AND LET IT RING AND WAIT. GO DO WHATEVER YOU DO AND TIE UP THEIR LINES. DON'T STOP THERE...
MAKE SURE YOU TELL EVERYONE TO CALL THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND ME SPECIFIC ON
MAKING YOUR COMPLIANT. GIVE THEM HELL!

This stuff is a complete rip off! I sent in for the "free" trial and they sent it to me without any information on how to contact the company, no receipt, nothing. I'm actually really surprised I even received the trial. But then 2 weeks later I had a charge to my credit card for $70 from some DRI company I'd never heard of. So I called the number and talked to a rep about it. They were very nice and said they would refund my money if I took the next month for $30. Saying that I could cancel it at any time, and the money was back in my account in a week. Well a month rolls around and out comes another $70 from my account! I'm on the phone with a rep right now and I had to email her a copy of my bank statement because they "have no record of charging me $70 again." And now they're telling me that the reason it's on my account again is because the bank had it pending for a month. The bank does not pend withdrawals for a month. That's poor business on their part. They won't let me cancel now or do anything about this money disappearing from my account. I just made that girl's day hell but I don't care because they have made my day hell. DO NOT ORDER ULTRA LEAN GREEN TEA!

This sooo called miracle product and its producers are not worth anything...Falon ( the floor supervisor) needs to be replaced...no customer skills whatsoever. I recieved my product and called to cancel it after I went to the neurologist and they told me I could no longer take anything with artifical flavors. I then noticed today that I was charged the 69.87 for a new shipment that I am not even gettin...what a rip off...i called to talk to Falon and she told me o well nothing she could do cause I could not tell her who I talked to and could not find my confirmation number. I think this place is a total rip off and URGE YOU TO NEVER BUY FROM THEM...AND TO TOP IT OFF TODAY WAS ONLY THE 15TH DAY..YOU HAVE TO CANCEL AFTER 14 DAYS...AND I HAVE NEVER USED ANY OF THE PRODUCT AND THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME THE OPTION TO SEND IT BACK FOR A REFUND!

I, too, feel this is a big rip-off, misleading, and deceptive! I just knew when I was doing it that I shouldn't! And now I'm correct! I order free sample, paid $5.95 for shipping, and then that's where they get you...they then have your credit card no. so they can charge you for what was to be considered free! I called & the $39.95 was supposed to be taken off my card. Then yesterday I received another order of the tea packets which I bet will show up on my card again. if it does, I will be calling the credit card company and the Better Business Bureau!

This is the most horrible internet scam, diet scam that I have ever fell into!
I am so freaking upset right now. I just got my second shipment after I have already cancelled, and they said there was no RECORD of it was so ever! And I have been charged 69.87$ I demanded my money put back into my account, and she battled with me, then I said well if I return it give me my money back!
She said in that case yes! Just write return to SENDER! Horrible, I am absolutely mortified of what has happened. No more!
Guess that taught me a lesson.
Good luck.

What is also interesting - the bottom of their page "Terms & Conditions", they SPELL out the NUMERICAL amounts. So if it was written how we normally see numbers, your eyes would scan down and see things like "$74.00" or "30 days" or "$69.87" - and then you would REALLY read this fine print.

But because it's printed like "seventy four dollars" "thirty days" "sixty nine dollars and eighty seven cents", we aren't reading it as a cost to us, just possible legal terms we don't want to pay attention to.

Very sneaky Ultra Lean.

And I don't think it's Facebook's fault at all. It's our job as the consumer to find out what the stipulations are.

I have tried calling both numbers ALL DAY and no one answers! I have been on hold for a total of 3 hours. They have taken nearly $300 out of my bank account and I have never received anything but the initial 14 day trial pack. How do they justify $300 for not sending anything since the trial pack? And the best part is that everytime I am on hold for approx 10 minutes... the connection gets conveniently static. How am I to cancel an account with them if I cannot get in touch with them? I am going to sue the crap out of this company!
