Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

This is a huge scam! Do not order this product... About a month or two ago, i was online looking up workouts and meal plans to lose a little extra weight... I found myself at the ultra lean green tea website... The website states free ultra lean green tea 2 week trial! What you don't see is that they have already highlighted that you want a subscription to another product which is $35, i didn't realize until after i had ordered my "free trial" that shipping and handling is $5, and they had already charged my account the extra $35 for something i had no desire for... Needless to say, i felt decieved and i went ahead and called later that day to cancel my entire account... Well, they didn't tell me it was going to take twelve business days to get refunded... So i had to contact them once again to find out the status... Only after investigation did i find out that it was going to take longer... I waited and waited, finally after 2 weeks i called back to see what was going on, they then told me that i had some "refund error" and unless you call, they don't notify you about this, so the woman i spoke to told me that she couldn't interpret the message she saw on my account so she was going to hand it over to her supervisor and have her give me a call back, once again... I never received a phone call... (Every single time i called i was put on hold for at least 30 minutes), i almost completely forgot about it until today when i checked my account, they had reimbursed me for $5 in shipping and handling and that was all... I called back again, only to find out that nothing had been done, nobody notified a supervisor, and it was going to take another 12 business days...When i asked to speak to a supervisor, i was told that she was extremely busy taking care of "warehouse problems" and that there was no guarantee that she would "find time" to call me back...So now, i sit... And wait...And hope that i get my money back sometime this year!

I am so thankful for this complaint board that I wanted to add my personal experience. Thanks to all of you whom warned everyone else of possible charges, I was able to act quickly. I had already ordered my trial membership before I decided to look into this product more. I found this complaint board and immediately cancelled my credit card, wrote a letter and called them as well. Thanks to this board, I believe they are making greater efforts to improve customer service. I ordered on a Friday and called to cancel on that next Monday (thx to the complaint board). It took a total of just three minutes to answer my call (called at 12:30 on my lunch break) and the customer rep. (Aaron) helped me right away with no questions asked. I wouldn't have been able to do so without the phone number and mailing address found here.

I ordered Ultra Green Tea's free tiral & paid shipping charge to my credit card.I received my product very late past the 14 day trial period in which you have to try the product & cancel if you do not like it.I there after called to cancel any further charges to my account & was given a confirmation number to confirm. The company then 1 week later used my credit card & charged another $69 to my account.I have not received any further product.Nor should they be accessing my credit card for charges.
I have left a message for my account to be resolved?
This is very deceiving & I will never use my credit card online in the future due to this horrible experience. They should be reported.
Christina Simeonoff ( Which by the way is a single Mom & can not afford people ripping me off in the first place!)
Thank-you

I was charged 68$ for Green tea that was supposed to be free...I don't want anymore of that Green tea, and I don't want anymore payments to be taken of of my account. I am gonna block any payments of your company and never gonna purchase anything from you ever again. I am gonna pass the word around...

I ordered the green tea, because they wrote on their website, 14 day free trial for $6.95. They were to send me the product 2-3 business days. I received the tea 3 weeks later, so by then they had charged my credit card $6.95 plus $69.87. I called to complain but they said it was too late, that if I wanted to cancel I had to cancel during the 14 day trial. Which I tried to explain to them, that I only received the tea after the 14 day trial! Then they said that my next shipment for $69.87 was on its way, which I never consented. THey said that it was automatic, they deduct $69.87 from my credit card every month! On their website it doesn't state that they will send it to me automatic, without consent. What do I do?

I "RUSH" ordered the 14 day trial of the ultra lean green tea and weeks later have still not received it. Now I have been told it can take 4-6 weeks for delivery as it could get held up at the border coming into Canada. There is a spot on the order form that you have to "unclick" otherwise you are ordering a bottle of pills as well. I phoned immediately after making the mistake and have been told every day since (over two weeks) that they will be crediting my VISA. Each day I phone they say there is a problem and it will be yet another 5 business days before anything will happen. This company is ripping people off, DO NOT order!

For all of you who have been sucked into the underhanded, dirty business dealings of false advertisement and a sea of itty bitty writing that constitutes ULTRA LEAN GREEN, I feel your pain.

I too have gotten overly excited over a "Risk Free 30 Day Trial +s&h".

But here's the deal, DO NOT send the bottle back marked "Return to Sender" and just throw it in your mailbox thinking that they will get it. Oh, sure, they will get it, but you will never know that. Then you will get charged for nothing, and they will have their product returned to them, but deny it ever made it there.

Now, I take full responsibility for my dive into an offer that looked too good to be true, and not reading the fine print. However, just because I f**ked up the first time doesn't mean I should continue to get scammed by a company that just wants my money without any regard to the customer.

Why wouldn't they send you any information/paperwork about the specifics with the initial product? Why no paperwork? Why so frign underhanded?

This company prey's on the foolish to rape you over and over again until you are forced to cancel your bank/credit card account. They claim to cancel your order, but oops, it didn't happen and guess what, your stuck paying another $69.87 for a crappy product. A product you just wanted to try, not get married to.

They claim that "sure, we'll give you your money back, just throw it in the mail without a tracking number, we'll credit you!" Then you ask, "why am I still being charged, I sent it back" ULTRA LEAN says "sorry, we never got it!"

I truly believe that anyone on these complaint forums that is sticking up for the company is infact a representitive of the company. Who the hell is okay with paying that much money for a tea supplement that taste's like [censored] and doesn't work?

If you are as outraged as I am, google the Better Business Bureau of Utah. There is a link in the middle of the page to report companies such as this. This is BAD BUSINESS and it needs to be stopped! Tell everyone and anyone on myspace/especially facebook what the deal is.

Bottom line: This company needs to practice responsible business practice. From the advertising right down to the return of the product.

I ordered the free trial.. then in 10 min I decided I was being dumb so I called to cancel... They said I had to wait a hour.. So I called in a hour cancelled and got the cancellation code and informed I do not have to worry about any charges or informing my credit card company... They did say I would be charged 5$ for shipping and handling, I disputed and said no as I dont want anything shipped and order is cancelled. So they said ok.. They were very nice about it..
That night I get a call confirming my order.. I am like no I cancelled it and he was like oh yea ok..
Next thing I know I recive a package from them.. I shipped it back unopen. I also see they charged me for the product and shipping 2 days after I had cancelled.. I have made a complaint with the BBB and also have it disputed with my credit card provider.. As the Green tea company promised to reimburse the charges with in 5 days as I had called them .. they still 30 days later have not done that..And I now have to go through my credit card company.. The seem to hear this story alot with this company.. Do not purchase anything like this..

On August 28th I placed a trail order for a sample of tea; my understanding was I could cancel if I didn't like it or they would continue to charge my account. I have not received any product and was shocked to see the $6.95 plus another charge for $37.50 for Power Tea which I clearly did not order. When I called to complain I was told the problem was with Customs and that a second order would also be on its way and charged. I managed to get a supervisor to agree to reversing all charges but we will see. Meanwhile this company has to be stopped. It was only after I was referred to a supervisor that I was able to get agreement for a refund and I don't think everyone who has a problem would push so hard.

I too decided to try the "Free trial" of Ultra Lean Green Tea. I received my tea. I never saw any statement regarding cancelling within 14 days, etc. although the company stated there was when I did call them. Today I received my 2nd shipment of the tea. There is no phone number to call on the package so I did find website on the internet and found so many complaints about this company! I called the number that was posted and supposedly they have cancelled my order. I did get a cancellation number and the name and I.D.# of whomever I talked to. I did state that if there were any more charges to my credit card after this last shipment I would not be responsible for them. She stated she closed my account and assured me there would be no more charges. We'll wait and see. I am notifying my credit card company today not to accept any charges from this company again!

Hey for all of you who were charge 69.87 each month for the Ultra Lean Green tea product " You know the one they claim that oprah was crazy about, the same one you only wanted a trial sample. You have to call : [protected] and ask that they credit you the non othorized cherge for that product, otherwise you will carge a complaint the the Consumer protection agency.

careful they are in Utah, and the time is not the same we have in Montreal.

Good Luck!

I ordered the free 'thirty day' trail from this company. It tasted terrible and I did not see any results. that is not the only problem, soon after I got a 60 some dollar charge on my debit card, based somewhere in Minnesota. Of course I had no idea how that could have happen, so I called my bank and they told me it was this company that made the charge. I was very upset and closed the account.

Apparently, this trail only lasts for i think 14 days, then they charge your account the next month if you do not return it in time. This of course is in the fine print. Additionally, this is a void contract because silence in not considered a yes answer to contact which means they are not able to take money out of your account, because you did not sign the contract.

If this has happened to anyone else, and you want to possibly start a class action suit let me know i would totally be in. In this company's defense, they did update the site, possibly because of complaints so it is a little more clear that you can only use the free thirty day free for 14 days. But be careful and never buy from this site or this company!

the initial 'risk free' payment is solely for the shipping and handling costs, and the rest of the charge is the product which you cannot receive a refund on once you open the package... but you don't get charged for it until 14 days, so if the post office is speedy, you're screwed. the refund they say you can get when you're not 100% satisfied, is only on unopened products, but you have to open the product to try it... so what's the point? everything within the container is in individually sealed tubes so it's totally reusable for the scam artists which are U.L.G.

you also are signed up for fit.fac.com a charge of $19.95. they refunded me with zero hassle and the customer representative was very nice and helpful, that wasn't the case for the ultra lean green. customer service representative #116 offered little help and i am currently being refunded the 69.87 to be charged $34.00 to receive 2 more sample packs of this garbage i don't want. So this way I'm only short $34. plus the original shipping.

i also started receiving spam e-mails by the dozen once signing up for this 'risk-free' product. it also tastes gross, and i think some of the crystals are gelatin or something that expands in your belly. either way, just drink lots of water when you're hungry or before you eat if you have troubles with portion size.

I tried to post this earlier and it disappeared while filling out the details. First off, all those with Ultra Lean Green scam issue - TAKE THE TIME to fill out the online FTC complaint form at www.ftc.gov! Nothing will change and people will continue to be scammed as you and I have been if those of us do not take a couple of minutes to report them! You are welcome to reference my complaint in the " details" section that I filed with them today - # [protected].

I, too, ordered the "sample 30 day shipment - 100% guarantee" on Oct. 8th. I didn't receive the shipment until Oct. 2oth. The fine print states the consumer has 14 days in which to try out the product before automatically being charged for an autoshipment. Well, I received my trial shipment on 10/20, and only three days later, the company charged me $74.24 for an autoship order - that I have yet to receive! I phoned the 866 number today and the girl explained that since I hadn't cancelled the order ship during my trial period, that was why Iw as charged the autoship fee and I was "actually paying for the trial shipment they sent me". That makes no sense - the auto ship is advertised for s/h costs ONLY. The future shipments are based on whether you don't cancel prior to your 14 day trial period - a trial period doesn't begin until you actually receive the product. I demanded a credit, explained that I had to cancel the ATM debit card I used for the trial shipment and they'd have to issue to me an actual check. She put me on hold for a few mins, came back on the line and said I'd have to ask my bank to reactivate my old ATM card "for deposits only" so they can credit me. Well, with my bank anyway, once an ATM debit card is cancelled, that's it - there is no reopening! But I knew as soon as she came out with that response that they'd never issue a credit at all.

SO REPORT THESE JAGS! Nothing will ever happen and others like us will continue to be scammed if those whom already have been don't fill out the proper online forms on the Federal Trade Commission site! PLEASE take a moment to do so - wouldn't you want someone prior to you to have done the same so you never got taken for any money to begin with? ~C

I have received the order of Ultrea Freen Tea after I sent you a E-Mail on that same day that I did not want it because, I went on that site and there was too many complaints of fraud on you part..They were right! i don't ever want you to take any payments for Green Tea on my Visa Card. I advised my bank today, October 23, 2008 that you were a scam...I am printing this E-Mail as proof that I sent you this, on 23/10/08. I will tell everyone I know about your company.

This company offered a $7.99 trial of their product. Later, I found almost a $100.00 worth of charges on my card from them for things I didn't order.
Then it kept charging me. So I called them and they said if you read the "fine print" by purchasing the trial, you're agreeing to be charged for their "full" product line and they keep charging and shipping to you until you cancel. If this has happened to you, call this number: [protected]. Demand that they take the charges off your card.
I love the product, so I would have continued to purchase it and be a customer of theirs. Too bad for them I don't do busniess with sneaky companies that try to scam people out of their money with the "fine print" and unauthorized charges.

The advert stated it was featured on Oprah Winfrey`s show about Green Tea power to lose weight, I applied through the website and have received 3 orders, but I want to cancel my subscription now, but cannot. I am charged $79.95 monthly by a company named "LNPERFORMANCEHEALTH " according to my banking records. The merchandise is shipped to me in a little box with no company info. or phone number. So it`s difficult to cancel my subscription.

I NEVER order things online, but thought that this looked respectable. After thinking reading it over and thinking for a day or so I decided to place an order. Silly me, didn't do ANY research. Although it has only been two days since I have ordered it... I read these complaints online and called right when they opened at 8:30 am. I was on hold for 45 minutes before the woman answered the phone...she said that my order has been cancelled and that I would only be charged the 6odd dollars for shipping. Although I have not yet been charged for the other money that has been complained about, I am waiting for that to happen once the 14 day mark comes around. If that happens... I will not leave them alone until I get my money back! I asked if I should send the trail back but she said to keep it. I don't know if I should or not. Any suggestions? This was a great hassel but I have learned my lesson. Do not buy into this product! It causes far too much stress.

I bought the $4.95 trial verison of Ultra Lean Green Tea and I didn't recieve it within the 14 day trial period so I recieved TWO charges on my account from American Leisure and Easy Saving Which overdrew my account TWICE which is a $25 dollar fee for each item. On the charge for ULGT there was a phone number listed with the payment online so I called that number and found out that even if you wanted to try this ULGT they give you the 14 days and then your are supposed to send it back to them to keep from getting charged so you're really not getting a free trial at all because i still have yet to recieve the product and it's been about a month.

So in any case, be watchful of other companies taking out money from your account also. When I called Ultra Lean Green Tea I asked about American Leisure and Easy Saving and they gave me the phone number for both places and all you have to do is call and cancel, they are pretty understanding about it so i'm sure it has happened MANY MANY MANY times before. Also when you call to cancel you may have to let them know that you gave POWER TEA (The head company of ULGT) your information.

All in all this is just a HUGE hastle so just keep a watchful eye on your account. And here are the phone numbers

This is a rip-off! When so many people feel cheated like this, it is not right. This company is unscrupulous and misleading. The only way to stop them is for everyone to complain to the proper authorities: Salt Lake City Better Business Bureau:
[protected]
Utah State Attorney General's Office:
[protected]

They will continue to rip people off until these places get enough complaints! Also contact all the organizations that have supported them and advertised for them: AOL health; CNN.com;
Foxnews.com; USA Today; Reader's Digest.

If enough people flood them with complaints, something will get done. We can make them do business right, or go out of business!

I too was scammed by these crooks. I've also noticed they have changed their website and their terms and conditions since I've ordered the tea. You have to dig into several links on the website now to find the terms and conditions. They are not the same wording as when I ordered my tea. I called several times and the reps were rude. I asked to speak to the supervisor, and amazingly, they were all busy and I would have to call back. They send you to email to leave a message that nobody will ever return. The ### I did talk to said she would refund my shipping and handling if I returned the tea but that didn't happen. I asked my bank to issue a new debit card number just in case they tried to bill me again. After several calls I made a report with the Utah Better Business Bureau. Within 2 weeks I had my shipping and handling and the 69.95 back in my account. ALWAYS file a complaint with the BBB. Companies don't like that!

I did pursue in buying this product and it was only because some of my friends have this product. I bought the trial and was aware that they would charge me $70+ for the second product after 15 days of the trial. Now... I never recieved the first trial and they now charge me for the second order. Why am I being billed for something I never recieved? It took me 30 minutes to get connected to someone from the company and all they told me was that they will have the corporate people help me. Now... I dont understand why I cannot talk to someone right away about the money they are charging me. They CLAIM that the product was shipped to my house in July and then again today! OUt of all days... today! Now... i live alone... and I do NOT have any product of such. This either makes me believe that the company is very inaccurate adn irresponsible OR there is a neighborhood theft around! And if there is a strange thief... why is he stealing this product? Now... should i be responsible for something like this? Should I have to pay the fees for something that i did not recieve?

I just recieved my creidit card bill, and there are 2 charges fomr Ultra lean gree tea. I called, and was informed that having not cancelled within 14 days I was by default a subscriber to their product, and having not cancelled within 30 days I was not entitled to a refund.
I signed up for a FREE sample, which I believed was mine for the cost of S&H, no strings attached.
This billing was the first I knew of any part of that FREE SAMPLE being a TRIAL subscription!
I NEVER sign up for TRIAL subscriptions.
I managed to receive a refund for the second shipment, just recieved and unopened, but they declined to refund the first whish I believed to be FREE, except for s&h. I cannot trace my path to the original order, it was too long ago, but I want to know what recourse I have to get my $69.87 back. Please advice.

I too had a hard time finding who these people are. When you receive your product you don't get any directions or even a receipt. Yet on the 15th of the month they hit your account for $69.87. For the month of August they have hit me 2 times now...2 weeks apart! I was able to find a phone number and an address. I tried to call the number on Sunday and all I get is, Please hold the line we will be right with you". I held on for 20 minutes and hung up. Now I will send them a letter telling them what I think of their business practices...and billing twice in the same month. If I get no satisfaction from there then I will report them to my bank and have payments stopped immediately. On the website it states: MONEY BACK GUARANTEE: IT AT ANY TIME YOU ARE UNSATISFIED WITH OUR PRODUCT, CONTACT US AT: [protected] AND WE WILL GIVE YOU A 100% REFUND. Good luck trying to get through!

Here is the phone # again: [protected]

My wife ordered this under the "free trial". No problem with being charged for shipping, but when the $69.87 charge showed up...a different story. My wife did not see anything anywhere about a 2 week time frame for cancellations in order to stop further shipments and charges. She was able to contact the company and she was told to return the unused tea and our card would be credited back the $69.87. We also filed a fraudlent charge report with our bank. As of today, the $69.87 has been returned to our account.

Internet advertisement offered a thirty day supply for $4.95 plus shipping and handling with the option to cancel any further shipments withing 14 days of receipt of order. None of the web addresses allow correspondence and there is no phone number available for their "Pana Labs, PO Box 2003, Riverton, Utah, 84065" address, as per directory assistance. I simply want to cancel any further shipments/billing and have searched for working email addresses. There are none.

I ordered the 30 day free sample on July 7th, billed the $6...did not read the teeny, tiny fine print of terms and conditions on the BOTTOM of the sign up page...which it doesn't ask you to read. Anyway, you have 15 days to call and cancel..I received the order 20 days after I paid for it...13 days after my first payment I was charged $69.87! It is a SCAM, do not order this product! I have called them several times to cancel the next months payment which will come out in 2 days...no answer, surprise, surprise..no company name on the package...royally pissed...

Seems like a scam to me...I was billed $4.95 shipping for free sample on last month's credit card bill, which I did not receive. Then I was charged $69.87 TWICE on this month's credit card bill. This stuff must really be something! I wouldn't know though, because I haven't received any. I called the Ultra Green number on my credit card bill and they said they will reverse the charges in 7-10 days - You better believe I will be following up in 7-10 days! I am NOT HAPPY to have this extra hassle in my life!

This add offers a free sample of Ultra Green Tea. When you order it they charge you $5.95 for shipping.

You receive a can of tea packets with no contact or company info on it except Pana Labs.

Then 14 days later your same credit card is charged $69.87 for those samples.

The deal is you have to cancel within 14 days or you are signed up for a monthly subscription. At the bottom of the ad there is a small link to terms and conditions that explains this.

It is very deceptive and I want people to know about it.
You have to call (on hold a long time) [protected] to cancel.

I got stuck paying the $69.87 for 30 packets of green tea. What a ripoff!

I ordered the free 14 day trial and did not receive the product until the 14th day. I was charged on the 15th day and called right away to cancel and get a refund. This happened at the end of August. It is now the middle of October and I have been getting the run around about my refund since the beginning of September. They keep telling me there is an "error in processing" my refund and I have to wait. I have called 4 times and been told the same thing each time. Don't know if I will ever get my money back. So much for their "NO HASSLE" guarantee.

I ordered the sample package for $6.95 ( free pay only shipping and handling!) from Ultra Lean Green Tea on line. I was charged an unauthorized amount of $36.95 from Power Tea which I did not order and did not want. I have been in touch by phone and by e-mail to attempt to get a credit on my Credit Card but have been unsuccessful to date. They keep apologizing and telling me that there was a processing error (although they can't tell me what that means) and my account will be credited in 3-5 days. It is now 5 week later and I am no farther ahead than I was 5 weeks ago when I first contacted them. I also have never received any product from this company.
This company is a rip-off and a scam - DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

I had purchased the green tea, payed the S&H fee and received the green tea over 2 weeks after I payed for it (in other words, the 14 day trial period was long over). I tried the case of 30 tea packets and was charged 69.87 for it. I still have 8 or 9 packets left and I decided that I will cancel my account as it does NOT WORK.

So I go online to check my bank account and see that I have received another charge for 69.87 even when I have not received the second shipment! I found this complaints site, called up the number, was on hold for 17 minutes before I could speak with anyone. The representative told me that she will close my account and I will be refunded the second charge of 69.87 withing 7 - 14 days. I will wait to see what happens. I am utterly pissed and will be even more so if I do not receive a refund within the next 14 days.

I ordered a free sample of Ultra Lean and agreed to pay shipping & handling. Well they have charged my card $69.87 on three different occasions. So far I have received 30 packets and paid a total of $209.61. That works out to be $6.98 / packet. I want the unathorized amount credited fully back to my credit card.

After accepting a free trial offer and speaking to a rep from UltraLean, I was still charged the nearly $67.00 for the product and I asked to let me try the product first before charging my card for a second shipment--which was never received. Can not find any contact information on the company on the packaging.

I have asked them to stop sending their product and they said they did, but I am still being charged on my credit card.

I ordered the first one and it didn't work, so did not order another but received one anyway. Can I cancel the charge on my visa?
