They don't help on the phone and stretch it out the longest they can

Purchased a car privately end of nov, went to change breakdown cover and was advised that the rac do warranty too. After a chat i decided to take out said warranty.

On the 16/12 the gearbox went.I had it recovered to a GEARBOX SPECIALISTS who diagnosed the fault as 6th gear synchro and that its not common place.

Warranty company decided they wanted to send an independant from Dekra out. On 21/12 inspetor came out spent no more than 1 MINUTE inspecting the gearbox and spent the other time inspecting the car, why i do not know obviously looking for a way to get out of the warranty paying out.

He then diagnosed it as wear and tear, Yeah ok. So warranty company refusing to pay.

I have reported to the financial ombudsman and will be taking them to court, I have a report from the engineer from the transmission place stating its NOT wear and tear and they know what they are talking about!

Will see you in court!

Would not recommend to anyone, They try to get out anyway they can. They don't help on the phone and stretch it out the longest they can.

I look forward to beating them through the courts and then reporting to OFT, Watchdog and Trading standards.
