The Creek Haus review: Rude service; noise nuisance 3

Please do not book this venue

The "venue" is an outdated house/residence, built in the 1980's, and a outbuilding converted into a party barn. The property is in a neighborhood, zoned for residences and not businesses. The surrounding neighborhood is made up of families and retired people.

The owners are two-faced. They will give service with a smile to prospective renters (E.G., bridal parties) of the property, but will not explain nor disclose to the prospective renters that they are in conflict with the neighbors on all sides due to the noise nuisance, and sometimes illegal activities, that the weekend rentals have produced (Illegal activities include trespassing, destruction of property, vandalism, theft and littering). The owners misleadingly advertise that the venue is "secluded, " but it is in the middle of a neighborhood. Don't be fooled.

The neighborhood was once tranquil and peaceful place, devoid of drama and hostility. The new owners have never lived at the residence-turned-venue and have no vested interest in the effect of the noise nuisance on the residents of the neighborhood. They are only interested in turning a profit on the property at the expense of anyone else, neighbor or bridal party. Until recently, the neighbors have desperately tried (In vain) to work out a peaceful compromise, but the owners refuse to cooperate and state that they have no control over the venue, the renters or their hired vendors. The owners of the creek haus have forced the burden of their business onto the neighbors of this venue without their consent and over their clear and frequent objection.

Please do not book this venue - you will contributing to an already unbearable situation in this neighborhood. In desperation, some of the neighbors have given up trying to work with the owners and have begun a campaign of intolerance which negatively impacts the events and the bridal parties. They will report any noise or disturbances from the events/weddings to the sheriff's office and citations will be given. Some neighbors have turned to making their own noise, such as target practice with loud firearms, which adds to the noise problem and disturbs the weddings.

There are many elegant wedding venues in dripping springs with better views, nicer locations and with owners who work with their neighbors to provide an enjoyable, memorable wedding event and a happy, peaceful atmosphere for everyone. Don't fall victim to this venue owners' greed.

Wow! I have heard the same complaint from persons who live near this venue as well as other venues in the Dripping Springs area... "Wedding Capitol of Texas" officially named that by the scum of a state representative Jason Isaac, hubby of Carrie Isaac.. who acted as a friend to those having noise issues with nearby venues only to turn his back on us after getting elected! The town of Dripping Springs is NOT the nice quaint little area it once was. It is now over-run by wedding and event venues and alcohol producing businesses such as wineries, breweries and distilleries. The name should be changed to Drunk Springs and let all the "partiers" have it and continue to ruin it while the wonderful citizens that made it what it was move elsewhere. The local government does not enforce the development laws and will allow too many variances. The Sheriff's office will not issue noise complaints to businesses nor will they properly categorize these complaints as noise complaints making it impossible to prove a nuisance... Yes I have experience in this area. The "good ole boy" network of the county government has put many residents rights in jeopardy... as in you have none because they won't enforce them.

This is completely false and if it were true these wonderful caring people that own this venue would not have the business that they have today! They care and do everything possible for their clients! It is an absolutely gorgeous place and they have put so many personal touches into making it perfect for any occasion! It is not loud and the music is not outrageous! I live close to both of the venues and have never had any issues. There are no restrictions and therefore anyone that lives or own property out here can do whatever they choose with their property. I am so shocked that anything like this would be said about these venues! They are fabulous and if you have an event there you won't regret it!

Notice... "they care and do everything possible for their clients" but NOT their neighbors. Thank You for proving the point! You don't have any issues because you ARE the problem. And yes there are restrictions in the neighborhood. And yes there are restrictions they are limited to their development per county and state RULES... so yes there are rules. Apparently the offender doesn't realize this. When people have moved to the nice quiet countryside so they can sit outside and listen to the bugs chirp it doesn't matter what the neighbor who IS making noise thinks about their noise. The noise maker had ruined the calm quiet and peaceful surroundings for the neighbor. I can only hope that THAT irritated neighbor sells out to a brewery with an outdoor stage where the noise from the brewery could disturb the wedding... after all turnabout is FAIR play. Don't y'all need a shooting range out there?
