For anyone considering buying Teka products I would strongly recommend they consider another brand. 0ver 3 years ago we had quite an expensive (and we therefore thought - quality) kitchen fitted. We chose 5 Teka appliances and luckily I took out an extended warranty as so far the Dishwasher has had to be mended 3 times and finally replaced after it flooded the kitchen – resulting in an insurance claim and 6 weeks of inconvenience to replace the floor. The cooker clock broke, and the extract fan is nothing more than ornamental. But the final straw came when the fridge freezer broke and it took Teka 9 weeks - yes OVER 2 MONTHS to finally replace the appliance... after sending 5 repair men out ( 5 days pay lost as had to take off work!) . The company did not care in the slightest i have 2 young children under 4 who in the height of summer need food and milk from a working refrigerator. Their customer service was truly appalling and often downright rude with calls unreturned and totally incompetent repair men who also happily slagged off the company. Never ever would I buy from this company as the products sadly appear to be substandard and the aftercare service - even when you have a warranty - was abysmal.

I truly think Teka should not be allowed to do sales in the middle East. Their service is very very poor. I have 7 appliances, and if your appliance is not working, unfortunately they cannot fix it as you will be told the part is obsolete and that TEKA does not make a computer chip or mother board to fix tge issue. Unbelievable, so you have to throw out your fridge and microwave and other appliances because it does not have the spare parts and on the other hand you are encouraged to buy a new appliances from them again. Good business, cannot fix it but buy a new. I am not so dumb to go with Teka again. I wish the ceo can respond of poor service and why main TeKa company will not produce computer parts or chip. I truly say don't go with TEKA you will regret it.

Hi,

Yes, I had a painful experience too. I bought a TEKA dryer which I consider very expensive for me but salesperson was able to recommend with convincing words that I eventually made a purchase. I made a report within a week of delivery on its faulty but they never replace me with a new unit even though I was eligible. They took my dryer for repair back to their factory and never update progress and after I follow up, planning for return is promised this week which is more than a month already.

Hopefully, I really get it by this week. It is a very disappointing after-sale service and I got no choice but to tolerate such an unacceptable treatment to customer.

Have a Teka gas range. It’s stainless but rusting all over. Called their service so many times. They finally came after 9 months and told me
it wasn’t rust. Like I don’t know what rust is!
Refused to fix it because it was not installed by them and it had taken too much time.
Look for others like me you will find tons on internet! Should have looked before buying. Cheap products and no clientele service.

The stove top controls are a mystery. After one week I cannot understand them. And when the rings are used the controls are untouchably hot. I 'll never buy Teka.

I had a Teka freezer installed as part of an expensive (Everest) fitted kitchen. Seriously bad choice. Only a few years old (but conveniently out of warranty) the upper hinge failed (the inner workings broke up, so that the door would not actually close). Teka (when I could eventually get someone to deal with my query) said that they would send someone to sort it out, for a minimum charge of £130. I looked up the spare part on the Internet and it costs £129 just for the hinge. What a complete rip off, when you can get a new freezer for little more.

Several problems with microwave, oven, hob, fridge - all fixed in due course, but agree that customer care is not a priority. I'd never buy from TEKA again

Company is a shambles, no one gives a care about customer service! Washing machine bought has never worked right since day one, know broken and been told it could take 3 months to get a part. I will never buy anymore of their junk and would tell anyone else thinking of doing so to stay well clear of them...

I have four Teka products and all have fatally failed wthin 3-4 years. i agree with all comments above - service is dreadful and unreliable, and company does not care about your problems. Amazingly difficult to oget hold of anyone who can make a decision.

On 29th October we moved into a high quality re-furbished flat. The luxury kitchen had a new TEKA IRS 943 hob which didn't work. We called the service people who sent an engineer. He arrived on 4th November, removed the hob and said it was broken and needed new parts, which he said he would order and be back in 7-10 days. After more than 2 weeks we chased the service company who said we needed to send a video of the hob not working. I asked what the engineer's report said and she confirmed he reported it was broken. I took a video of trying to use the hob but it was 49MB, too big for my email app. The service company said photos would be ok, which I duly emailed. I then received a call saying that TEKA would not authorise the repair because we had used the wrong pan. It was a brand new pan chosen for its suitability for induction hobs; the kitchen supplier managed to get part of the hob working (as did the engineer) who both boiled water in the pan. We are now left with a broken hob and will have to buy a new one. However the problem is that the TEKA aperture is slightly smaller than Siemens of Fisher & Paykel, so the granite will need to be ground out at cost and mess as well as considerable risk that the granite splits. So the lesson is DO NOT BUY TEKA products. The quality is rubbish and the service in just plain awful.

Hi, I purchased gas hob from Teka in 2012 and it's flat glass with five rings. after one year one ring stopped working and the sparking was always working unless i switch it off from the socket. I paid USD60 for maintenance services in Dubai and just recently I called them again for same problem and they fixed it and paid samr amount. Then after two days I was cooking using grilling steel design by Teka that you place it over two rings. After 30 minutes of cooking, the hob couldn't resist the heat under the steel and broke the hob glass and the whole thing destroyed. I also have r dishwasher and i only used it twice and after one year i check it and its not working lol. Never buy Teka.

follow up to previous comment - the shlves dip - an earlier career was as a chef so its embarrassing to have lopsided sponges. it also cooks more one side of the oven than the other - with just the fan on!

I too had a new kitchen fitted - the local firm I used - woodwise - were far from wise and changed the design layout several times so I ended up in tears of frustration and with a kitchen that did not suit (they then sued me for the money I refused to pay over their quote) . along with this I asked for a fan oven with grill - it would be little used so didn't need an all singing all dancing one just a fan oven with grill. from the teka catalougue they chose a fan oven which soon went wrong - the clock but it wont work without the clock going.

this was a persistent problem - every time I used it after a new clock had been fitted it didn't work the next time - I rarely use it but when I do its for dinner parties, Christmas and when I have people round (I use a wood oven the rest of the time) as some point one of the engineers (yes thet too would never buy Teka) he thought maybe I had been palmed off with a demo modal but that in any case this was not a fan oven! but fan assisied - I had long given up on trying to make an effective grill out of it. |I called th ecompany who were not sympathetic had no record of the old catalogue - really? so only had the website which said it was fan assisted. I finally managed to get anew oven out of them at 'cost' price but could not sell my old one so was it was all very expensive. do not buy from Teka! (or woodwise)

I had a new kitchen fitted five years ago. Immediately the cooker gave problems, the timer tripped out every time I used it. As it was brand new the kitchen company got a fitter in who said it was lack of ventilation. After getting another grille fitted the problem continued, then they refused to turn up saying it was user misuse. I replaced it with a Bosch. Within 6 months the dishwaher had problems, they said it was limescale buildup, there was none, and again refused to come out, replaced it with an LG. Now the extractor hood although working is noisy and rattles. I discovered afterwards they are part of the de Deitrich company, and if I had known would never have consented to Teka being fitted, as I had de deitrick fitted in the UK and had identical problems with them, including an American fridge freezer. If anyone asked me I tell them to avoid both brands like the plague.

My sympathies and understanding go out to all the above especially MillicaB. In summary I have had 2 double ovens and 2 microwaves from Teka - both replaced because the first ones were beyond repair. I have now waited 4 months for a new thermostat for the second oven - and still waiting! How long have I been blessed with these appliances only 3 years! I cant even bring myself to write about customer service!
I am too beyond words!

Ah, I wish I read these reviews before buying Teka products - just the worst experience ever! In first six months of use we had problem with every appliance we got from them. And the service ( here in Dubai) is just terrible.
I can simply cry looking at money being wasted every time I get into kitchen
Their should bare some kind of accountability for such terrible products sold with big words and promises.
Words fail to capture my anger and disappointment - knowing the manufacturer is consciously selling the bad products !

As a follow up to the above...the replacement hob finally arrived and Laurel & Hardy arrived to install it, I asked before they came that they knew what they were doing with 3 phase electric..."Oh Yes" he replied...Firstly he cut the wire from the old hob so he could see where it was wired to on the switch, he then damaged the glass on the new hob but had to continue fitting it because he couldn't put the faulty hob back because he had cut the wire he then realised the new hob wire was not long enough so he put a joining box in and cross wired the 3 phase. After tripping my power numerous times taking one phase of my power totally out leaving me with no CCTV, no alarm, no electrics gate and insisting it wasn't anything he had done...he finally admitted he wasn't an electrician! I insisted he left it how it was and that I would get it sorted out. Teka quickly sent a replacement hob out which I then paid a "proper qualified" electrician to fit only to find that the replacement hob did not work at all...so I ended up with the broken glass hob being re-fitted and eventually 2 weeks later Teka sent a different "engineer" out to swap the glass over. A total nightmare from start to finish and I will NEVER purchase another TEKA appliance again. Customer service is appalling, engineers are mostly not used to the products and some have very little electrical knowledge...let alone qualifications! Avoid like the plague

I too purchased a Teka Induction Hob with my new fitted kitchen, within 19 months (Jan 2013) 2 of the rings had stopped working. The kitchen people advised there was a 2 year warranty so I contacted Teka. They organised an engineer to come visit...he took one look at my 15ft worktop and refused to look at it in case he damaged the worktop. I then waited a couple of weeks and nothing happened so I contacted the repairman who told me he had referred it back to Teka. I called Teka to be told that I would need to get the induction hob removed from the worktop at my expense before they would come out to repair it...I DON'T THINK SO...if the induction hob worked I wouldnt need to get it removed. I went back to the kitchen people and they in turn got onto the Teka rep, eventually they agreed that they would pay for the fitters to come and get the hob out at the same time...after many further phone calls and chasing up by ME! Finally a different engineer and the kitchen fitters came out only to find he hadn't got the parts...he then left me with another ring not working, so I have 2 small rings which when a large pan is on the bigger ring I cannot get a pan on the smaller ring. I waited another month for parts which did not arrive and in the end they agreed to exchange it for a different hob. I am now still waiting for this to happen. I chase them up religiously twice a week and am still no nearer getting it replaced...it is now 4 months since my first contact...the customer service team are very nice on the phone but do not reply to emails and do not seem to care less that I have 2 children, one who is disabled, I have had family over Easter and had to manage on 1 ring...HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT"! Shocking experience...avoid like the plague!

WE HAVE COOKER HOOD WHICH HAS BEEN SEEN 3 TIMES UNDER OUR EXTENDED WARRANTY. AFTER A INITIAL LOUD BANG, THE ENGINEER SAID IT WAS THE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AND HE SHOWED ME THE DISCOLOURATION ON THE BOARD-OBVIOUS. HOWEVER, IT IS ALSO OBVIOUS THAT UNLESS THE CAUSE FOR THE DESTRUCTION IS ISOLATED ANY NEW BOARD WILL ALSO BLOW. THE SECOND ONE DID JUST THAT-OBVIOUS, AND HE ORDERED A COMPLETE SET OF INWARDS FOR THE HOOD-GOOD MOVE. WHEN THESE FINALLY ARRIVED 2 MONTHS LATER THEY WERE THE WRONG ONES AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR SOME DECENT SERVICE. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TREAT THIS COMPANY WITH GREAT CAUTION-THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTS IN THE UK AND HAD TO BRING THEM FROM SPAIN. THEIR EQUIPMENT IS VERY GOOD LOOKING BUT WITH VERY POOR INWARDS-"FUR COAT AND NO KNICKERS", IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. WE BOUGHT A GOOD QUANTITY OF NEW EQUIPMENT WHEN WE FIRST CAME ACROSS THEM ON A RECOMMENDATION. THE DOUBLE OVEN THERMOSTAT ALLOWED IT TO GET SO HOT IT DISTORTED THE FRAME AND IT WAS REPLACED QUICKLY. THE MICROWAVE ALLOWED EMISSIONS INTO THE KITCHEN AND WAS CHANGED QUICKLYAND NOW THE HOOD! THEY SEEM TO CHANGE APPLIANCES OK, BUT IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH PARTS I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD FORGET TEKA-KUPPERSBUSCH COMPLETELY. THE SERVICE IS VERY VERY POOR AND YOU GET NO APOLOGY FOR IT. I HAVE WRITTEN TO GERMANY ABOUT THIS AND WILL KEEP AT IT UNTIL I GET SATISFACTION OR NEW EQUIPMENT

hi I bought a teka dishwasher in malaysia. it took 9 weeks to get it repaired it is only 15 months old.The engineer sent to fix it was useless.I KNEW MORE ABOUT THE MACHINE THAN HE DID... He also tried to charge me RM480 for a part he did not fit. I contacted head office TEKA in KL and they would not answer my calls.so if u want a machine that breaks down after 15 months and a service engineer who knows nothing about dishwashers but is a crook .A head office that takes 9 weeks to send the crook then will not discuss the matter with u dont say i did not warn u D J [protected]
