It was New Year's Day and I did not know if the steak and shake near me was open, so I called twice and they didn't answer. When I arrived at the open restaurant I wanted to try an experiment, so I called inside the restaurant to see if they'd answer and none of the staff members bothered to answer the phone. I believe this is wrong because customers should come first and many on call may have questions or concerns about their restaurant. As well as not answering my call(s) there were countless amounts of other times where the phone rang for minutes. The phone is near the counter where customers pay and it's rare that anyone is near that counter;therefore, I believe that is why nobody answers the phone and is also the reason why customers are waiting in line and start to complain. On top of all of this, I ordered a milkshake and it took twenty minutes for them to make a simple milkshake. Either there are not enough people on staff or people choose not to make the smaller orders until the bigger ones are done. I don't know which one is the problem but I advise you to make a wise solution because as I was in the store many other customers were complaining to the manager due to their poor service. I hope you take this complaint into consideration and try to improve the service of you restaurants.
