Sikkim Manipal University [SMU] review: Sikkim Manipal University is Not reognized by AICTE 15

I talked to SMU helpdesk & they told me to send all documents for HRD & University Authentication, but now i read lots of comments in forum, is it really true that M.Sc. (IT) degree is not valid in UAE?
kindly suggest.

SMU DE degree is of no value. They sell it for money. IGNOU itself is not accepting degree bscit from smude. Even UGC under rti says it not valid. Now still the university advertise heavily through electronic media -monster.com etc. Even they ask existing debt students to get new ones by paying commission to them. Beware.

Dear i believe that, before doing HRD, any way we need to take university verification & if it is there then why we need to convince then regrading guniness of degree. provide there should be policy of full time only.

SMUDE was recognized till 2012 by DEC but after that their recognition was not renewed and subsequently DEC has been dissolved and taken over by UGC & DEB. Meanwhile, the central confusion of students & parents towards SMUDE is justified because SMUDE like many other state universities in India (e.g. karnataka State Open University) has been reduced to nothing but a diploma mill. Forget about quality education and all, they are highly indulged in illegal practices of earning money in the name of education.

Legal perspective here is: a recognized state university has the jurisdiction of its state only. Any study center of a state university in another state is illegal and degrees obtained from such study centers will be deemed fake in an ideal situation. But since the thread is full of attitudes and ego, ignorance of above said fact will be at your own responsibility.

SMU degrees are not recognized...interesting topic. This is a traditional problem with Indian mentalities, how can it be same.

Yes, why should it be recognized, u crazy people sit at home and sometimes not eligible to get a reguler admissions in India and don't pass any entrance test to get admission like the way we hardworking professionals earn.

If you think by passing a degree from SMU, u r same like regular student from a reputed institution, be in your own dreams.

One, more crazy aspect people bring is, they say SMU is same like Manipal University, Karnatatka, it is not and there is no comparison between chock and cheese.

So work hard and do reguler education for u r professional growth .

The reason behind Saudi Embassy's refusal to attest IGNOU, SMU Certificates is because their courses are based on Distance Learning Mode. They are fully aware that IGNOU is a Govt. University and it is recognized by UGC, AICTE but still it is their internal process and discretion to decide whether they would like to attest it or not. I am an IGNOU student, i believe the quality of Education we get from IGNOU is worth excellent and it is far more better than their saudi's regular university. But, they have a traditional mentality which makes them feel that one can only gain qualitative education through regular universities only. If SAUDI is not accepting IGNOU, SMU degrees that that is their loss, not yours. They are actually loosing the highly skilled foreign manpower which could help to raise their economy. Anyways, you can still try for other countries who are broad minded and not narrow minded like Saudi'sssssssssssss... SImple. But, please think and reasearch more before labelling someone fake, even tommorow's your family member may say he doesn't recognize IGNOU, SMU degrees but that doesnt mean it is fake. Claiming IGNOU, SMU degrees as fake is a huge stupidity coz you won't get any other better Universities which are highly recongized by different bodies like UGC, AIU, AICTE and many more...THanks

SMU is already Recognised by AICTE-(All India Council for Technical Education) and not only SMU even IGNOU and AGU certificates are not attested by Saudi Embassy and Cultural Mission, So Do you want say IGNOU is a fake University ? Just do some sound research before labelling some thing fake.
