First American home warranty made us use these crooks on 7/15/22 to replace a water heater. That's all they had to do. But, oh no that did not happen. Then the plumber said he needs 300.00 more dollars to do a vent mod which was just foil tape and to dispose of the old heater ok, $85.00 dollars to First American Home Warranty. Then had to pay $300.00 to Rapid Plumbing Rooter Service. Wish that I was at home so I could have run them off. They took advantage of scamming my wife for this $300 and told her she had to pay this for the vent mod and disposal fee. They put tape on the vent pipe. I have a new water heater and it should have only cost us the $85 service fee since we have this Home Warranty through First American. Not an extra $300 for some tape, new lead pipes (which only cost about $20 each) and a disposal fee.

Simple snaking 1 pipe to sewer $275 quote. Soon a massive $22,000 all drains broken job. Before snaking clog, he produced their video probe and claimed everything downstairs be replaced. Now my mother who's 87yrs was so convinced with their claims that with my suggesting these guy's were ripping her off, she still sign for a loan through them. Finally, by the end of the day (one day of unnecessary work) a second opinion professionally was given. Absolutely a complete sham. Now we need to find out her rights and how to deal with the guys.

The company was installing a hot water heater and I was told there was be a small amount of money due because of extra tubing etc. that would be necessary for the installation. The amount was $375.00. The size of the new heater and the old one were very similar. I was charged for a new vent and all he did was add tape to the existing one. I would like to be reimbursed for $150.00 for unnecessary charges.

Have (2) 1/2" copper pipes that extend from outside hot water heater to washer hookups. Due to extreme cold both the hot and cold pipes burst causing 1" slits in the pipe. Called Rapid Plumbing at 11 a.m. or so, they arrived at 1 p.m. Not bad. Technician Oscar said what he could do would be to cut out the burst portions of pipe, replace with new and weld into place. It would take no more than 1 1/2 hours. HE QUOTED ME $1200.00. Told him absolutely no way, that was robbery. He said that was the price to cover gas, materials as copper pipe was very expensive, and the company. Again told him no way, the materials wouldn't cost more than $75 and asked him what he charged for the labor because $1200.00 was taking advantage. So a $300 job suddenly becomes $1200, nice. He said he didn't make the rules, the company did and they mark up everything by 300%. Then he said he could do $725, which I refused as well. Told him I wasn't prepared to pay more than $250. He called his "office" but everytime I approached to hear what he was saying he moved away. But I did hear him say that what I wanted to pay wouldn't even cover the cost of his materials. He came back saying the best he could do was $625. Again I reminded him the price was way off. The company was stealing people blind. He left. Later at Home Depot I purchased 15 feet of copper pipe, connectors, etc for $60. Tomorrow a plumber is coming to fix my pipes. And he is accepting what I want to pay. Never will I refer RAPID PLUMBING to anyone.

Joseph, the person listed as "supervisor" came to my house on a non-emergent basis because my water heater would not heat up. He stated that the water heater, despite being 2-3 years old needed to be replaced. He arranged for the heater to start up but said we should go through our warranty company if they will replace the water heater. After a short period of time, he handed be a bill for $395.00. I asked him if this was correct and he said "yes it is" promptly. He then quickly handed me a sheet with a lengthy discussion about "don't judge service charges sorely by the time the technician spends in your home or business." This company is not fair in their price. The service was suboptimal. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Rapid Plumbing is deceptive, overpriced, and flat-out unethical.

I called Rapid Plumbing to clear a blocked main drain. While on-site I was told that the drain clearing would cost $280. I have used similar services in the past, and I agreed to the price. I left my son to oversee the job. The job should have been straightforward since the cleanouts were easily accessible, and the building, including its plumbing to the street, was less than three years old.

Rapid Plumbing sent their camera down the drain to confirm that a root was blocking the pipe (Shocking! That’s what I specifically called you out for!). Rapid plumbing then attempted to get my son to authorize an additional charge of $3, 500 to clear the root, or $18, 000 for a full pipe repair. The agreement I had with them was clear: it would cost $280 to clear the pipe of all blockages. Instead, the pipe remained blocked, and I was out $280 for a service that was not completed.

I shopped a handful of other plumbing companies and explained the situation. Plumber after plumber confirmed what I figured: Rapid Plumbing overcharged me to take a picture of the drain, and then Rapid Plumbing tried to con my son into authorizing unnecessary work at unreasonable prices. The $280 price was more than enough to cover the cost of a root clearing.

I hired a bonded sewer contractor for $225 to complete the job Rapid Plumbing was unable to do at the agreed upon price. The contractor stated that if I wanted to have the pipe replaced it would cost $2, 900 including all permits. For comparison, Rapid Plumbing wanted $3, 780 just clear the pipe and $18, 000 to replace the pipe.

Take your business elsewhere. Avoid Rapid Plumbing’s bait and switch tactics.

they overcharged my 85 yr old grandmother 12, 000 dollars for a job that cost around 300.00 dollars. And when I called them too explain themselves, they called the police on me saying i was harrassing them. Ya damn right i was harrassing them. I will do my best too take these scamers down, Its time too stand up too the crooks no matter who they be.

Rapid Plumbing is rapid only for one thing; finding an old person's wallet and emptying as quickly as possible! They prey on the elderly - my 90 year old Paw called them up because of a sewer problem. Initial estimate was $150.00 but when it was said and done, it ended up costing my poor old pops $800.00! They did very little work and shystered my poor pops. Jose the plumber from Hell & Lies, made terrorist threats against my dad because he wanted to bust up my dad's driveway and then charge hm $8, 000.00 to change out a bogus sewer pipe. THe pipe doesn't even run on the driveway, it runs in the middle of my dad's grassy front yard. Jose Rubalcaba, you are a LIAR, A CHEAT, and most of all, A PREDATOR of the elderly! Shame on you and GO TO HELL! Don't call Rapid Plumbing unless you want to rapidly go BROKE!

A company employee named Lois h. came to my door showed him the problem, and he recommended a $489 service right off the bat, very rude and predatory sales, he got in an argument with me in my own home, at the end of it all he took my money for doing absolutely nothing, I wish I never called them.

Had a water leak and needed someone to check it out. Called the fancy insert in the yellow pages. When the individual arrived, he couldn't wait to get a signature on a contract. He wouldn't even talk without it. I finally agreed for the primary amount of $45.00. Without any other conversation, he than stated they would need to do a leak detection to find the problem and the cost was to be $485.00. Within 5 minutes, I was told I needed a complete repipe and the cost would be $6800.00. If I only wanted a repair, it would be $3800.00. At this time, I realized that I was getting ripped off and refused to even consider this company to do the work. The person that was here was called Tony.

After doing some research, I contacted an honest company that came and found the leak and did a complete repair for a total of $1200.00. Their work was done professionally, complete and with great satisfaction. I do feel that I was ripped off of $515.00 for a free estimate. I tried to contact Rapid Plumbing but could only contact a receptionist and a request to talk to someone in management for a response but that was not honored.
Anyone that is looking for a good plumbing company, do not in any circumstances, contact Rapid Plumbing.
