OMG... I wish I had seen this site before. I thought well I will try again to contact Penbrook to get assistance with logging on to requested site, and this complaint board can up. I guess I'm not alone in feeling like a fool. Now I need to try and get my credit card company to stop the charges and request a new number to my account. Wish me luck and good luck to you all too.

I paid $197.00 to join as a rebate processor and heard nothing from the company. I can not contact them on-line or by phone. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, which later on was resubmitted by Penbrook Productions. I am now trying to convince my credit card company that Penbrook is a fraud.

Penbrook Productions billed $197.00 to my credit card. I never charged anything to this company. I don't know what they do, or how to get in touch. The info I provided above was provided by my credit card company. I have received NO product or service from this company.

Here is another rip off, just like the other complaints, if it sounds to good it will be another bad decision to go with. Coupon redemption scam, throws you to another fraud site one you didn't want, no information on the coupons. BAD choice, Penbrook Productions will not help what so ever. Do not do this!

In Mid March 2008, I applied to this company to be a rebate processor. After about 3 days of intense direction following that made no sense or progress, I contacted the company and tried to have them help me. I could not get my id to come up on any products. They walked me through the process, exactly as the directions stated and I had been doing, but still no id was placed. I then called back and told them I wanted my refund from their "Guarantee of satisfaction" I spoke to a lady named Gracey and actually got a verification number - [protected]- that the charge was reversed on my credit card. Much to my avail, I called back several times over the next 2 months to actually get the charge reversed and each time it was a different person and a promise and verification number that the charge was reversed. Each month I had to go round and round with my credit card company disputing the charge. Finally, I could not justify to the cc company that the charge was a scam and I had to pay it. This company is a hoax, scam, and a RIP-OFF. Do NOT give them your cc number for anything they promise. You will regret it.

I sure wish I had seen this site before I sent my $197.00. I joined in February, 2008 and the money was drafteed from my account. I was skeptical and the next day I emailed and cancelled my membership which is legitimate according to their money back policy. I emailed on February 21, February 25 and April 3 requesting the refund. Today is April 17, 2008 and I still have not heard from anyone. Now I am out $197.00 and this Penbrook person is sitting pretty taking money from honest people who are just trying to get by. It really makes you not trust anyone. At one point sometime in March a man called and wanted to start training me. I told him I had withdrawn my membership and asked when I would get my money back. He told me at the end of the billing cycle. I wonder which billing cycle he was talking about. I would really like to know if I have any recourse or am I just out the money? I sure won't fall for these scams again.

"Bought" electronic information as to how to make money from home. Same day I bought it, a rep called me in the evening to let me know that to make money (originally posted on their site), I would have to invest more money. I had already spent $197. This sounded suspicious and told him I would like to see results on what I have already bought. The following day, I researched further on the company through this web site and decided to get my money back. After 5 tries in about 1 week, I stopped calling them. They would put you on hold forever. I would hang up after 20-30 minutes. The day after, I decided to talk to talk to my bank/debit card holder. The bank tried contacting them without success as well. They reimbursed the money within 3 days.

I have been receiving emails from my deceased cousin almost daily. Each email describes how my cousin is making money from home and being her own boss! My cousin died last May. This is a crime of Identity theft and false representation. The emails are from Penbrook Productions and have a link for channel 2 news. Everything is a scam. Please beware. I would just like to add that the Angel Stevens Scam is not just the process rebates at home, but much more. The Rich Jerk is another scam that I believe to be directly related to this monstrosity in some shape or form. I was reviewing the scam myself and they use MidPhase as a hosting service. I started a live chat with the MidPhase tech support they told me it was a legitimate business and they are….. …. Yes that’s right boys and girls “Affiliates”, MidPhase should cut business ties with people that lie to cheat others out of large sums of cash. Tech Support gave me an email address to a/the/someone manager to voice any concerns. Underground Cash Secret also conveniently uses this same hosting service. (I found this one out by looking at http://www.scam.com) Is this a coincidence? MidPhase is good about refunding money to those who cancel.

These people have been billing me for $39.95 each month for 4 months and I have no idea who they are.

When attempting to contact them by email - there is no address. When attempting to call their 866 - it is busy.

I do not know what the charges are and do not see a product. I know what I purchase and get billed for - and this is not one of them.

They are billing me under EZ INCOME and see this: -----------------------------------------

Again, do not know who they are and must now cancel my credit card to stop them from billing me - and know I did Not order anything from them - especially not by the name of this company. Funny thing, I know I have not made a purchase from a woman. I do remember many months ago looking at something but not purchasing after doing a google search and finding out it was a scam. I'm
wondering how they got my credit card number. That is scary.

There are hundreds of us that have had the exact problem with Angela Penbrook Productions Rebate Process Program who is also owned by Angel Stevens Porcess at Home that was found out by ABC 20/20 News who told the LABBB about CEO of the companies. This guy listed as CEO of both companies is now claiming he is only a Consultant and filed paperwork for the real owners of these companies, but won't give any other info out. We have been working with producer Ann E. Varney / Ruth with ABC 20/20 News to try and find out who is the real owners of these companies, which we have checked with all LA/OC County Records Clerks Offices and couldn't find any companies registered under their numerous DBA's/Website names. We then contacted the CA Attorney Generals Office who sent letters out to complaining consumers by their Public Inquiry Unit signed by S. Regalado stating they would check this company complaints out and get a response for us which they never did or followed up, so when ABCs' Ann called the CA Attorney Generals Office and asked about consumer complaints or any info on these companies they stated they had no consumer complaints or have knowledge of these companies. Which means they received our complaints and didn't do anything with it, but sent a letter to us which feels like it is to show us they will investigate these companies but actually it was just a show. Even Ann said she felt like she was getting pushed aside when asking about a scam that's been based in California for years and has hundreds if not thousands of complaints for Penbrook Productions / Make You Famous Consulting Inc. in Irivne, CA with the BBB, FTC, CA Attorney Generals Office (who now denies knowing anything about these companies) as well as numerous scam/fraud posting websites. When we checked with the Secretary of State CA Debra Bowen the only company registered was Make You Famous Consulting Inc. Irivne, CA Penbrook Productions address, so when we tried to file complaints again and let Sect. of State CA Office and CA Attorney Generals Office know about these scams companies who use CA address's but are not registered anywhere they just responded by saying we have no info on these companies except for Make You Famous Consulting and put in a bunch of codes to go and get a private legal action. We could have sworn these offices are there to STOP SCAMS in the state they serve and are pushing hundreds of consumers complaining aside from all over the US, even when we are asking for help finding the correct owners so we can take legal action which is what we really only wanted they just pushed us aside and told us to use certain codes to make this CEO talk. So we have tried to get the correct information on these companies with all Offices that business's have to register with to operate in CA, CA Attorney Generals Office and Secretary of State CA and none of these Offices has any business info on any owners/registration of business names used with their LA/OC address' on websites/emails for Rebate Processor jobs or will they help us consumers/media get any information to do anything against these companies scamming/misleading people still to this day operating in CA. It looks like these scam artists are being protected by the Offices that are suppossed to help consumers against Scam/Fraud compaines in their State and are not even willing to properly investigate this Rebate Process Program Scam that would put them in the News if they actually wanted to show people they're doing their job. Just like AOL-Careerbuilder.com and YAHOO-Hot Jobs advertise these companies on their site and don't check business's wanting to advertise on their site because they claim to be to big, but have a fraud dept. to report after the fact. Who is keeping who in business here? If they really checked all the companies advertised on their sites they wouldn't have anything to post so by them saying they are too big is just a cover up for what they really know would shut down their site. So in other words we consumers are on our own here to stop a scam that looks like everybody is making money on one way or another and doesn't want to stop the income form a SCAM.

Penbrook Productions is a scam. I lost 197. but they called wanting me to give them 1000's more so they could teach me how it worked. I did not get my money back even tho I disputed it on my Citi card. This Co. needs to be reported to any agency that will take the report until their doors are closed. All these type of Co.
need to be stopped.

I have been charged 39.95USD for months now and I do not know how they got my credit card. All I did was search thier website. I never would have acknowledged payment for any rebate processor scheme. As a result I had to cancel my present visa and they are sending me another one so the payments can stop! By the way I tried calling the so called phone number for customer service they give you in the credit charge email, nothing! all you get is dead air! it's as if the number doesn't even exist. go figure. There probably is not a valid number so noone can call them and complain that they are being ripped off! There has to be some way to catch this scam artist. I got off easy I only lost a bit over $100.00 even so it's enough to make me have to go to the trouble to cancel my card and get a new one.

The only way that you are going to make a difference for yourself is to contact The Better Business Bureau. Just go online and google them and their official website link will come up. Put in the company's name and it will show you if there are any complaints about this company. Also, it will show you the Rating that this company has been given from the BBB.

Next, with all of their info handy, you compose a message about what you've experienced and the full amount that you've invested in the company and need to be compensated. The BBB will send this letter directly to the company and they will have time to respond. In the end, you will, most likely be refunded this money.

The BBB is a very reputable establishment that deals with exactly these types of situations. The company you dealt with does not want their rating to drop or to be given a bad rating. They will lose business from this.

In fact, any time you want to try any new job venture, you can run them through the BBB and make a wiser choice.

Sounds like what you got yourself involved in was a scam, but the BBB can help you.

Another Consumer... ; ) Good luck!

I got scammed by penbrook too. The moment I paid my $197.00 on line, it said that they gave a 30 day money back guarantee, once I paid, it enabled me to read more information on this; and I decided it was not for me. I called within a week, and requested my money back. I was told they would refund my money, but they never did. When my credit card bill came in the mail, and I saw that the charge was not credited, I put in a dispute with my credit card. At first there was no response; eventually my credit card company reversed the charges, but today, I received another credit card bill, and the $197.00 was recharged to my account. Unfortunately for me, this was all done on line, and once I cancelled with Penbrook, I thought that was the end, and I deleted all emails from them, so my proof to the credit card company is gone. I don't know what to do now. I called my credit card company again tonight, and although I admitted I didn't have proof of the money back guaranty, I told them about this websites and all the complaints against penbrook. My credit card company then told me they would post the money back off my account and deal with penbrook themselves. So I don't quite know what that means, hopefully I will still get my money back, Everyone should post a law suit and report them to the better business.

I too, received a credit card charge of $197.00 which I did not request. I wrote to the credit card company and disputed the charge and the company took it off and sent me a letter stating that it was removed but that Penbrook Productions had 45 days to resubmit the charge and if they did not it would be considerd closed and no futher charges would be accepted by the card company. I too do not know how they got my card number, although I do use it on the internet from time to time on secure sites. I called Penbrook on at [protected] ( I got this from the internet) and I actually got a person and I told them what had transpired and they would not talk or anything. They just kept sighing on the phone so I hung up after I told them I was going to file a complaint with my State Attorney.

On April 21, 2008, I also was searching the internet for work from home jobs and came across Penbrook Productions. Never before had I paid for a work from home job but thought this really sounded exactly what I was looking for. Like everyone else, I gave them my credit card and paid the $197.00 only to find out within 20 minutes that this person is a scam. I contacted my credit card company immediately and they have credited my account for the $197.00 but I had to fill out a lot of paper work and they said if I didn't return it within 10 days the $197.00 would be put back on my credit card. Naturally I have forwarded the information back that they ack for and I am waiting to find out if it will be enough and they won't be rebilling be for the $197.00. These people are rally scams. If there is anything I can do to help please e-mail me.

I too was taken by wealthdci.com. As it stated when I joined, I would have lifetime access to the site, which is untrue. I cannot access the website. I type in my username and passord and cannot get in. I also enter my registration code and information, which will not work. I am extremely upset, as I did not really have the extra money to put into this ($197), but I put my faith in it which is sad.

Please be careful of anyone offering to recover your money from scams such as these. Most of the time they are just going to scam you AGAIN through what's called a recovery scam.

But the same principles apply to any recovery scam.

I can not believe that a company can do this and get away with it. These people have no intentions of honoring there advertisement. Have you ever called there customer service? It is awful. I will not do this again without being able to call and verify the validity of a company. I paid through paypal, that might be the only thing that saves me. I'll keep you posted.

I called to be reimbursed my $197.00 and was told it would be redeposited into my bank account and so far nothing. How do they expect to run a company and not comply with what the say and uphold of this so called great money making company.
Some people like me don't have the extra money to blow away on something that isn't true, I live on a fixed income and that money could of helped pay for some other bills. I don't know if I should hold my breath and keep my fingers crossed to still get my money or not or just kiss my money good-bye.
Its not fair to the ones that decided that this just wasn't what they thought it was going to be

05-01-08 They called today, as I was about to call them. They were to provide me with contact websites for work from home with a guarantee for sucess or cash back.. It was a bait & switch. After I paid the $197 they sent me to a website where a few non-web companies were shown. The rest on the info on the site was instructions on how to make money starting your own business. The phone call was to provide me with additional training for a fee. I repeated that I wanted them to fulfill the thing that I paid for when the male speaker hung up. I then called my credit card company to cancel the sale-it will take a month to do the paperwork. On the credit card they claimed the bill was for legal services. So they lied to the credit card company.

Listen up everybody. I was scammed by Angela Penbrook Production. I've been relentless in trying to get a refund back of $197 since 3-6-08. I will not give up. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General Of California, The FBI, The FTC, The Attorney General Of Texas, and the BBB of Irvine, California. From the BBB I was able to get the real scoop on the company's information. So here it is:

Penbrook Productions
19800 McArthur Blvd. Suite 300

Company's DBA Id#-[protected], started business [protected]

I suggest that all who have been scammed file complaints via the internet with all the agencies above and including the Attorney General of your state of residence. If you live near the business organized a picket sign march, get the local news involved. Give them hell! I'm from the state of Texas and we do no tale kindly to thieves. Good Luck to all.

It's a shame how they keep getting away with what they are doing. I thought I was smarter than this. As soon as I paid and got the course I knew it was a scam. If anyone goes to attorney general for fraud count me in. They make it sound like your going to work directly for companies, but no way. They just want you to sell thier sight and many others. I have some just like it running, and not making the money they claim. They have know way to contact them stay away from Angela Penbrook. Oh by the way she has alot of different adds mthat are the same. Lets flood the net with her name and scam. who knows maybe we can get all the search engines to stop her adds. Probably a guy anyway.
