I purchased a peridot ring from Opalo Cuzamil in Cozumel, Mexico and when I got back on the ship and looked at the ring in artificial light the stone in the ring changed from green to pink. I tried to contact the vendor, but he will not return my calls. I paid $300 for the ring. I was totally ripped off. I don't think I was the only this has happened to. This was supposed to be a special birthday gift for my grand-daughter.
I purchased what I was told was a blue sapphire for $300 and had it mounted in an expensive diamond ring, replacing the lost head stone. When I took it into my jeweler at home to have it appraised I was told that it was not a sapphire but was a poor quality CZ. OPALO CUZAMIL in COZUMEL is a total rip-off.
I was told I was buying a 2kt diamond bracelet, also fake got scammed for $1350, don't buy anything out of the country any more or ever, Not ever from OPALO CUZAMIL in COZUMEL
