Ocwen call to ask if I made payment before it is late

they call me before my payment is late to see if I have sent it and tell me I am late because I didn't make the payment on the !st day of the month. My payment is late on the 18th of December and they called me on the 15th of December. I have not ever had a late payment or late payment penalty with Ocwen, yet they insist that I am late if not paid by the 1st of the month.

Ocwen loan modification

My home loan was also purchased by Ocwen. After asking for them to lower my house payments due to the death of my husband and my income reductions, I sent to them requested paper work 3 times, plus once they said they only needed a copy of my husband's death certificate & a copy of his will to lower it. I did that and now am worried I should not have done that. My previous mortgage company I was never late or behind in any way. After his death I got behind, but I sold off many of my beloved belongings to catch up. Every time I ask about how the work was coming on my request they said it took from 30 to 90 dyas. (that time passed many times) They then say my income was too high. Since then I have now been diagnosed with Cancer and my family plans are to keep the house in the family. I am 70 years old, live on Medicare and my medications takes up over 1/2 of what I receive and then monthly utilities I am in "the hole" monthly. If anyone ever deserved a hardship reason to lower my payments even a little it is my case. The last call they said the only thing I could do was a short sell or short sale I am not even sure what that is. I told them to forget the whole thing and I will keep making my payments every month. Why is it so hard for them to lower my monthly payments.

I have had the same problem with Ocwen as the people above! They are horrible in every way. They get mad if you talk during their long winded, all too rehearsed lies and ask you not to speak when they are. However, they are hard to understand and get mad if you ask them to repeat. I have work with them for well over six months! I finally got my answer yesterday, 06-19-2014. They informed me that the owner of the loan said I have had too many modifications. I have had one other modification that was done for a temporary period of time. Now my interest rate is almost 10% and will soon be going up higher. I live on Social Security and there isn't anything left to pay out a bunch of fees. I used my last savings to pay Premier Legal Services to help me find a modification, but this too has been going on over six months. They are just giving me the "big" run-around!
How unfair it is to be poor, old, sick, and have to deal with this horror of society! I simply cannot afford this new payment and I certainly can't afford the one that is coming next. I am not left with enough money to go to the doctor on and I am pre COPD.
I owe about $58, 000 on my house. My house payments should be affordable, you would think!
Premier Legal Services did say there might have been fraud on my loan! They had me send a certified letter to Ocwen, but they aren't complying with the time restraint!

Too long to write. Started Loan Mod. in Dec 2008. On hold for hours. Denied. Hired in Feb (2009) what we believed to be specialists for $2, 000 to deal with OCWEN with promises that they can get it done in 3 months. Was not late on a payment at that time. Lost a job. Stopped payiong in July 2009. Fired the so called specialists in Dec. 2009. Reported them to the Attorney Generals office who informed us to0 bad too sad take them to civil court. The specialists told us not to sign an Obama plan received in Oct. 2009 stating is was inacurate. Called OCWEN in Dec to find out what we need to do. They satated that because the Obama plan was not signed in Oct 2009 that we must apply for an OCWEN Mod. Jan 2010 applied for Ocwen Mod. Denied by OCWEN & must redo Obama Plan. Jan 2010 denied Obama Plan because we did not sign the Oct. 2009 . Must do OCWEN Mod. Feb 2010 applied for OCWEN Mod. Feb denied Ocwen Mod must write a letter stating that we do not want OBAMA Plan. Wrote letter. March 2010 Denied Ocwen Plan must do Obama Plan. No (OCWEN stated) must do OCWEN Mod. March 2010 applied for OCWEN MOd. April 2010 Denied OCWEN Mod must do OBAMA Plan. April 2010 received Auction notice on our home dated (March 15). Home is going to Auctopn on June 17th 2010. This is the short version of what we have been through. We need to move on with our life.

Our loan was sent to Ocwen from Taylor, Bean, Whitaker. This is the worst co. we have ever done business with in our lives. People you must talk with[when you can get one] are all in India and you cannot understand them and they sure as hell don't know what you are talking about. They constantly lie and tell you they have not gotten your paperwork, you have to submit over and over. I can't begin to tell you how much I hate this co. They refused our loan modification because they thought we could afford what we are paying. I don't know who does their math but they are idiots. The government needs to look at this co. and their shady practices. I for one am going to call the Justice Dept. and demand they look into these people. They were given gov. money for modifications but refuse to do so. Everyone should do this and maybe we will get some satisfaction!

I have been trying to get loan modification from this company. I was also transferred from Taylor and bean, Cenlar then this freaking company callled OCwen. I originally filed my application back in Dec 2009. They kept saying my documents were incomplete. Saying that i did not submit my checkstub. I sent it several times via email, fax and mailed still having issues with it until they said that im not responding to their request. I called several time and left several messages. Not one phone call was ever returned. until i gave up but i still kept paying on time until now. I am not going on 4 mos behind on my payment. I submitted another loan modication on 11/04/2010. I got a letter from them saying that i was denied dues to incomplete documents and that i did not respond with in 30 days they said they requested the missing documentations. Not once i ever got a letter from except that denied letter. I called and got a VM again.cant leave a full message. it only gives you 10 sec to leave your messages. I doubt that im going to get a call back. NOw i dont know what to do. I know i cant catch up with my behind payments. I know i am qualified for this loan modification becuase my income is not enough to pay all my expenses. So anybody out there who can maybe give me advice so that I wont go into foreclosure. Im single mom with two kids. im so frustrated with this company.. I cant get anybody on the phone to talk to..

Hello all,
I recently got my Ocwen remodification done with RIG Financial Soultions after trying with dismal results to try other avenues. I am admittedly one of the people who jumped on the "we can help with your re-modifcation" addage a lot of these "companies" claim; I paid over $5, 000 in "start up" or "processing" cost as they said, for NOTHING to a company who was unable to help! I got nothing in return but angst and a lot of unanswered phone calls . I tried to do a modification myself, which as I look back on was a ahorrible idea, but it led me to doing some research and homework on who can help me, and HOW they can help me! My friend Arlene told me about RIG Financial Soultions ( her fiance' worked for them from what i understand now) and how they really fought to help save her home, and she kept encouraging me to look into the matter. Finally I did, and the best part of the entire processs, I paid nothing until my modification was approved! They were really enthusiastic and focused on my case i had a 70k dollar principal reduction at 2% interest rate. My monthly mortgage payment was reduced from $2, 222.56 to $1234.42. I have nothing but the utmost confidence that they can help you if your in need. I sat down with their intake counselor, and they were able to jump right in; I was in foreclosure, losing my home as it was was on the sheriff sale list and they were able to save my home! I honestly did not think they could, but they did and i am still amazed . For everyone here looking for a possible solution, maybe try RIG Financial Soultions...it worked for me...hope everyone has a blessed 2013! take care, each of you!

Mottie, I have been going through this now since April 2012 ... They continually ask you to send the same thing over and over again, saying they never got it. Then they will ask you for 10 different other things just to stall for time... I had enough I looked up the Attorney Generals Complaint Board for my state and Got a Making Home Affordable Representative to help me get the paper work in order to make sure they received it all and Guess what they now ended up receiving all the paper work...The Attorney General also was pressing them with questions, , Next since Aug by the end of September after being pushed by my states office and my rep to help me I was finally approved for a Trail Modification for 3 months I must make the payment by the 1st. I would suggest to send it money gram at the grocery store due to there lack of getting around to posting your payment and with money gram it is there that day. I am so sorry for your loss of your husband and mostly so sorry about the dirty word Cancer... I pray you stay stronge through all this and that God see's you through it.. I will give you the ladys name I worked with so as maybe she can help you.. SHE WAS AWESOME... Her name is Lynda Ingram.. In Missouri but she might help or get you to a person that can help.. Tell her Patti Morris sent you and she no's all about Ocwen and the loop holes. God Bless and here is her information.Description: BeyondHousing Logo NEW

Ocwen short sale false hopes

Ocwen financial purchased my mortgage from Saxon Financial in April 2012. The very first thing Ocwen did was to raise my interest rate, not much but enough to piss me off. Their only reason was that they could do it because I had a variable rate. Note: In 5-6 years with Saxon, the interest rate was never raised but was reduced. I had begun a short sale with Saxon and it was nearly done, with a buyer waiting, when they sold my mortgage to Ocwen. Ocwen did contact me, via form letter, stating that they would be able to get all info from Saxon and continue the short sale. This was a joke. It never happened. Some "[censored]" kept calling me about a short sale and all the paperwork I had to submit. He did not know anything about the short sale with Saxon and would not listen to me. I did send in all the needed paperwork and then was told that I could not get a short sale because I was up to date with my payments. I then began to not pay my mortgage. My phone was ringing all hours of the day and night. I reapplied for a short sale. I answered the phone on one occassion and told the "Hindu" on the other end that I was not going to pay my mortgage until I heard more about the short sale. This was 5 months ago. Still no answer from Ocwen. My buyer has given up and has withdrawn his offer. I refuse to make another payment on the house. I have hired a lawyer to handle this mess. Because Ocwen has sat on their hands for, now about six months, I have lost a buyer, missed 5 payments, and now may be foreclosed on. Anyone who has their mortgage sold to Ocwen will find out that they are truly the most f____ed company in America or India. Its a shame that when you contact someone for help, you can't understand what they are saying. I tried everything, and now I do face foreclosure and a crappy credit score. Thanks Ocwen, you are nothing but a company that is out to screw people, especially those who are handicapped and on a fixed income.

There is a home 216 Winfred dr felton de. It has been abandoned by its owner 5 years ago. Owner wants nothing to do with this home. Have contacted Ocwen several times about putting this home up for sale as it has become an eyesore in my neighborhood. Several people are interested in buying it. Looks like Ocwen would rather let it rot & be demolished. None of these mortgage companies should have ever been bailed out. this is what we get from them!

I did a loan notification in May, wanting to keep my house I did what they asked and gave them the down payment of $1, 500. They said to make 2 payments for the first two months in the amount of $2, 498.00. They still managed to send me a statement with late fees and other fees on top of that. I could not make my original payments that were around $2, 100.00, why I agreed to it is beyond me. I recently contacted them again and advised that I just can't make those type of payments. They said that I could do another loan notification and that I would now have to come up with almost $2, 700.00, which they said was an average of two monthly payments. I told the rep if that was true then why the first time was my down payment only $1, 500.00?

He could not answer me. I then asked if they were participating in the Hope for Homeowners program, he said that at this time he did not see that my loan would qualify that they had already sent letters to who did. I said that the program states that if the amount of your payment exceeds 31 percent of your income and that you needed to check with your mortgage company to see if they were participating. If you are participating and I fit the qualifications why can't I start the process.

All he said was you might qualify later, but in the mean time the longer I wait the more my downpayment on a modification may go up. I could go on and on, specially on how when you call customer service you get people who read a script from India. I have asked several times that I wanted to speak to someone in West Palm Beach and I get switched back to the main menu and get the same customer service in India. They act like they want to help but have the attitude of 'oh well'...

I made my first on-line payment to Ocwen today. My mortgage was sold to Ocwen from Saxon and I always paid on line. Western Union Speed Pay was an additional $3.00 per payment with Saxon. Ocwen...$10.00! I called them and they said, different states have different amounts that are charged. This is not my case, as I paid Saxon from the state as I paid Ocwen. They asked me for my confirmation # so they can note the file that I made the pmt. Asked me about Nov. pmt, and they did not even have the loan in Nov.

Ocwen is probably the WORST mortgage servicing company in America. They are trying to charge me more than $4000. in fees that they have been unable to explain for the last 7 years. I have more than 100 calls to this company only to get the run around everytime I call, if I can even understand the people from India who takes their calls. Not 1 person from Ocwen has ever returned my call or if they do they are not able to explain the additional charges. Stay away from this rip-off company if you possibly can!

Is there any of you out there willing to work together to bring a class action suit against these terrorists? I am tired of the run-around and empty promises. Everything else has an expose' or undercover action to expose them. We need to work to bring these thieves to a place where they have to answer for these blatant crimes. Lets get this going pleeeezzzzz! I am in maryland and will post my contact information if I get a positive response.

My experience with Ocwen is similar. Voicemail hell and the right hand not having a clue what the left is doing. I would consult a realtor you can trust. They will have the ability to verify what the status of your account is with the courts. I got plenty of scary bogus letters and varified via same plus other resources that most of it was not: Find the best applicable lawyer near you for INITIAL FREE counsel regarding your rights. Trust me, it will amaze you what you will learn. MAY WANT TO REFER TO THIS SITE AND ALSO DISCUSS PROBABILITY OF A CLASS ACTION SUIT. COUNT ME IN IF THAT IS THE CASE! NEOBLUEYES@GMAIL.COM
It took me a year of due diligence via phone, repeat applications, a journal documenting all of my efforts, and emails to get my HAMP agreement after I was refused once and sent an in-house bad deal which I refused. My orignal loan was sold 3x in 6 months! I talked to an ombudsman along with several different alleged Ocwen departments, 2 lawyers, and several realtors to aquire info regarding MY rights. I finally got my agreement, it is noted as rec'd (certified and on web) but all other info is skewed. So far...so good. DO NOT LET THEM SCARE YOU. Defend yourself in all ways imaginable! Best Wishes, Britt

I've had problems with Ocwen withholding payments sent by mail until late before depositing, years ago, and our home (almost) went into forclosure before I realized what they were up too! After paying all their sketchy fees and penalties we solved this by sending every payment certified mail (I also saved their complete bill, with payment coupon still attached, and sent only copies along with my check), and I did this for years. Mind you it was a hassel, always having to go to the Post Office and paying extra for the postage service, but still it was worth the peace of mind. I did eventually turn to just paying online, which gave me a reciept right away with a conformation # and date immediatly.

We're now having problems again, but this time my husband has had cateract surgery twice, first one in Feb. 2009 with 2 weeks of disabilty, and was layed off due to lack of work from 3/19/09-5/3/09 and collected acouple unemployment checks, and then had his 2nd cateract surgery Dec. 30th 2009 with another 2 weeks off with Disability Ins. (which we all know takes 2 weeks to get your 1st ck from either one of these Companies).
Any way our 19/23/09 bill states we owe we got behind 2 payments and I called them to make payment arraingments. And they told me my only option was to download a file called H.A.M.P ( I think it stands for Home Ameisty Mortgage Program and was something the President propossed to help the Home Owner in trouble of lossing their homes). I offered to send them $1000.00 that day, which would have covered 4 months ( we're lucky because our house payments are only 230.31 a month) they said they couldn't because their system would reject any payment I would try to send them because of being more then 60 days late (our last past due statement was dated 12/2/09 for $239.69). So I tried to download their file and it wouldn't let me saying there were restrictions or we were not eligable & to call Ocwen. So I called them back. This time the girl I talked to said we were'nt elligible for this modification and the only way to save our house was to pay our bill in full which was $1, 510.00 (they were charging us for a $510 Title search and they hold our Title?). I told her we didn't have it! She said she was sorry but that was our only option. I was furious and what I said was really stupid, but I told her that was totally rediculous and that I was going to call the President (the President? Yah right) and complain! And I hung up. I was in tears and was just sitting thinking about who I could actually call to get answers to their $510 Title search (What the heck! If they don't have it. who does? Yikes), when the phone rang, I answered it, and it was the same girl I had just talked to and she said before I hung up on her (yah right) she was about to tell me she was sorry and wanted to apoligize to me because she was wrong about having to pay in full and that it would be fine to make a payment of $1000.00 if we sent it Western Union purchased at WalMart (what a joke! Makes me wonder about a lot of things they told me). I agreed to this and hung up. And by the way Walmart doesn't have Western Union, its called MoneyGram. They also added a Property Inspection fee of $10.50, and a Property Valuation fee of $43.52 also on 2/19/10 (my 1/18/10 bill shows us being charged $109.00 for this same Property Val. Inspection fee not $43.52), which is a bunch of bull. On my newest bill (dated 2/22/10 it reinstates us four times + $28.14 in late charges all dated 2/19/10. which is the day I bought the Money Gram. Here are the four;
Regualar Multiple Reinstatement #1 $258.45+$28.14 late charges ($9.38 a month x 4=37.52-28.14=$9.38 unaccounted for), 2nd R.M.R. $235.85, third R.M.R $284.33, and the forth R.M.R $221.37=$1000.00. On this same bill is when they first show the $510.00 Title search. not included in the amount owed on bill that month. Your get the idea, nothing adds up! I'm calling them in a few minutes to go over all my numbers with me but I've done this before and they never comprehend what I'm trying to tell them. Conclustion: They're Predature Lendures out to rip us off with all kinds of hidden fees! Look out!

I am also a Ocwen customer in Washington state. I am in foreclosure with Ocwen now. Its funny how they told you that they were participating in the program, but when i ask them they always say, not at this time we are not particpating in it. I truly hate this company it is such a joke and no one ever knows what they are talking about. I feel your pain.

Ocwen overcharging & ridiculous fees

My original mortgage provider sold not 1 but 2 accounts to Ocwen without notice. I had both accounts with that provider for over 10 years & it is amazing that they were sold a bare 2 years after I was let go during the recent economic downturn. Since day 1 they have harassed & harried me for each and evry payment which I have made each and every month. However, the payment goes to a facility in Illinois which 'sits on' payments msot recently of which was a payment sent 9/1/12 that posted to my account(s) on 9/28/12. Coincidentally, one of the payments is now in suspense because Ocwen had to et-up an Escrow for my taxes which was not done by my prior provider. Ocwen now tells me that the payment will not post until they get the FULL PAYMENT which is in excess of $5000. Have tried to talk with them and get the runaround. What amazes me most is that they have a payment yet say it is not good because it is not the amount which they were either expecting or wanting. My question is how does the government let a company such as this (which identify themselves as a 'Collection Agency'; not a 'Mortgage Servicer'). I agree with other statements as they are no doubt trying to obtain properties under the guise of the goivernment/law says that they can do just that and use strong-armed attempts to accomplish said goals. If I was neither in my present situation or had the resources I would make every attempt to finance with another company though that may take me back down this road at some point

Plaintiff Richard Halavais accuses AccountNow of a “systematic pattern of discrimination, ” unfair business practices and civil rights violations refusing to accommodate his requests by email to secure a new AccountNow card. Halavais is “unable to effectively communicate verbally” due to a stroke, the class action lawsuit says, and receives his disability checks – his only source of income – though an AccountNow prepaid card. He contacted the company to order a new card because his old one was due to expire, and explained that he could not talk on the phone due to a stroke that left him disabled and unable to effectively speak.

According to his class action lawsuit, AccountNow's refusal to accommodate his disability left Halavais without access to his disability checks and forced him to hire an attorney to help him get a new AccountNow card. When he did get the new card, he was unable to withdraw money from an ATM with his old PIN and was locked out after several failed attempts to get money. Halavais first contacted AccountNow by email on May 21, and did not resolve the issue until July. By that time he was in a rest home and unable to pay for his medicine and medical bills, the class action lawsuit says.

"On July 10, 2012 plaintiff was finally able to access the money deposited into his account, but only after numerous phone calls by Plaintiff's counsel, because Defendant refused to aid Plaintiff by e-mail, " the AccountNow class action lawsuit states.

"Throughout this entire course of events, even after the risk management department was involved and informed of the situation, Defendant did not present any alternative methods of communication by which Plaintiff could have resolved the issues with defendant."

The class action lawsuit is seeking damages for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Unruh Civil Rights Act and unfair business practices.

A copy of the AccountNow ADA Class Action Lawsuit can be read here.

The case is Richard Halavais v. AccountNow, Inc., Case No. 12-cv-1921 BEN RBB, U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.

* To pay $588 mln in cash, offer $162 mln in convertible stock

* Shares rise 16 pct to life-high

(Adds background, comments from statement)

Oct 3 (Reuters) - Loan servicer Ocwen Financial Corp will buy Homeward Residential Holdings Inc from private equity firm WL Ross & Co LLC for about $750 million to strengthen its hold on the residential mortgage servicing market.

The company's shares jumped as much as 16 percent to a life-high of $33.57 in early trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

Ocwen will pay $588 million in cash and offer $162 of million convertible stock to buy the company, which services 422, 000 mortgage loans, it said in a statement.

Ocwen has benefited from large banks moving away from the servicing business to avoid regulatory scrutiny. Banks have had to agree to costly fixes to their foreclosure practices.

Ocwen bought Litton Loan Servicing from Goldman Sachs and Saxon Mortgage Services from Morgan Stanley this year.

'Mortgage banking is a business of scope and scale, and we believe that the combined company will fill the void created by the ongoing departures of many banks from the overall industry, ' WL Ross & Co Chief Executive Wilbur Ross said in a statement.

Mortgage servicers such as Ocwen collect mortgage payments from borrowers and foreclose on properties. They also make advances to mortgage owners to cover things like principal and interest payments when a loan goes bad.

The deal, scheduled to close by year-end, is expected to immediately add to Ocwen's earnings after accounting for transaction-related expenses.

Hang on to your hats because they bought out Litton and Saxton also. The ride has just begun for those being sold out to Ocwen. They will not honor your modifications from other mortgage company's. Ocwen modification

I read these complaints now for months following what Ocwen has set out to do with is destroy the American family's dream and take Homes away from us with evil lie's and scams they have going with paper work being sent to India as to be able to hide any questioning that comes up through the higher end Attorney general to attorneys making it a long paper trail so the goverment can not trace there deceiving the public and scamming us out of our homes. I will say this its been 7 months of hell trying to get my modification with these India Idiots. Its to the point were I have them figured out. You see they will have you work with a Relationship Manager so they say this one will be assigned to your case and review and help you. HAHA, they go in circles telling you to send this and that. Then they never receive it send it again. I did priority Mail and Emailed everytime, they still never get it. Awh never got it still ### so I called a Making home Affordable rep. which there should be one in your state ours in Mo is Beyond Housing. I got her involved because I was getting no where with these idiots fast. Then I did write a complaint to my Attorney General in My state. They are now involved and sending letters to them wanting answers fron them also. Well now that I have both to help back me up they now have switched me to another India Rep. you see they needed to move that paper work around. Now this guy wants 50 more things sent and I am telling you I have sent everything 5 times and they could not need anything else but my blood. But as I speak to them every single week now for 7 months they always find something to keep stalling the process by wanting stupid ###. They even wanted my sons credit . I said no way he is not on the loan, its illegal and a privacy act. Not getting it. He lives with me and I had said he helped me by giving me 200-300 a month. Still none of there business when he is not on the loan. Now they would not even do a three party call with the lady I am working with at Making home Affordable, they said no. I called her and told her that she was mad. She put them on code RED alert. Which means she now goes through a loop hole to get the paper work there and she speaks to an American . Guess what they now seem to receive all my paper work. Do not no if this is going to help me ever get this modification or not. I no I can not pay this high house payment much longer this damn arm is set to go up every 6 months 1 point every time it goes up and already at a 9.625% rate next 10.625 in Dec. So I am very close to fore-closer as the house payment is way to high for this house. I hope this works. I really think all of you going through the modification need not waste time start right away with the Attorney General in your state when they start screwing with you next get someone else involved to sent the paper work. Go to Making home Affordable web site and find a legal free help to get this rolling . DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO THIS ON YOUR OWN IT WILL NOT WORK. They will run you crazy till you give up. Hang tuff do not let them get you down, make your house pmt. Do not let them tell you do not have to make them they are lieing they will take your house in 3 months if you do this. Hope this helped I will make sure I keep updated information to try and help others going through this rip off scam company. We must all stick together.

They charge me for paper work they send thats already resolved 3 weeks later and charging me for it. Send my payments after reading all the complaints by money gram as it should be accepted the day they get it. Not happening they make me 30 days late. I have the attorney general involved now and they even lied to them but I am sending all proof of all my complaints about them. Next called and am working also with Making home affordable program which they are suppose to be working with for a modification. This lady has all my proof and paper work and she will be on a conference call with them on wed if they will call her for me. I hope they investigate

Ocwen will not pay insurance

I can't believe the government allows this type of company to conduct business in the US. The worst company I have ever dealt with. In June my loan was transferred to them from bank of America. I am not upside down, never miss a payment, never late, not a risk as they claim. I have always escrowed and have about 2k in my escrow. Ocwen will not pay insurance company. Both the insurance company and I have called concerning this and the say they have noted it, but nothing changes. You call back the next days and they say the account is not setup for escrow even though it has funds. They are so frustrating to deal with. A class action suit should be filed. I can't believe good honest people have to deal with this company when we did nothing to deserve it and can't do anything about it. Come on government help your citizens.

Battling Ocwen is tough. They need to be pressed with QWR's, Federal Complaints & forensic accounting disputes. Unless you aggressively push them all the way to wall, you will not get anywhere with them. We have successfully challenged Ocwen on many cases. Feel free to call us at 877.297.7011 for more info.

Hi, we had our martgage just recently sold from BoA to Ocwen. They charged our first payment with them twice and it has been a complete nightmare since them. it looks like they are determined to take that extra payment from us, it is unbeliavable. This company looks like a SCAM! Why do we have to deal with them? Why BoA can sell our martgage just like that and even more to a crap company like this?!
Seriously, we should get organized and sue this company.

Ocwen mortgage fraud

Wells fargo, ocwen and les zieve, refused to give a fair modification on a home loan obtained illegally and put me in foreclosure in july of "11, filed for bk and then an adversarial complaint about this insane situation. I can not afford an attorney, they hired a global big law firm, who filed a motion to dismiss the complaint with prejudice and a court date of january 12th 2012. I showed up the judge and the trustte was there... They were not. They could not even be reached by phone by the federal court. Judge dismissed without prejudice as they were not there to argue thier motion and the only financial issue I had is them and due to that had not 'payment plan' to submit to the bk court. I can not afford to go bankrupt over these predatory banksters anyway. But several months later, I discover that wells fargo, sold my home of nearly 30 years to the mortgage servicer, ocwen for less then half of the face of the note that they say they have but which I have yet to see a copy of including any proper assignments... On december 21 st 2011... Merry christmas. They have filed a fake tax lien deed on january 4th 2012 and are pushing a forecible detainer down my throat now with les zieve's foreclosure mill. They gave me 21 days to leave my home. Renter's get treated better today then homeowners do. They are ruining my entire life and at age 55 I have no way to recoup what they are stealing from me. I hope god stikes them all dead in the name of my lord and savior jesus chirst, for the combined ills and undue burdens that they have put upon the world and all of the people they have effected.

Ocwen false charges/fraud

Chase sold our Mortgage to Ocwen on April 2012. Ocwen finally sent us a mortgage statement stating that we had not paid the March 2012 mortgage and they are still trying to say we are behind in payments to them. They did not even own the loan until April and all payments were current with Chase and then with Ocwen. * I have my bank statements showing as much* Then we received a mortgage payment bill that included a "misc" fee of over $2100. After numerous phone calls to the Indian Customer service dept (what a joke) they were not able to tell me what that fee was for. I have turned all of this over to our lawyer and Ocwen was supposed to send a detailed billing statement showing what the fee was for. Got that "detailed" statement today. It states that the " fee" is listed as " Fee/Other" with no explanation of what it's for. Real helpful. Seriously will consider asking/pushing my lawyer to file fraud charges! This company needs to be held accountable for these fraudulent statements and practices. Is there no oversight on these ?

I am presently fighting with OCWEN! My mortgage has gone up from $856.00 to $1038.00! OCWEN forced floor insurance on my MORTGAGE account. I have provide sufficient documentation from FEMA clearly indication that my property is not considered to in a flood zone. However for the last two years OCWEN has add additional cost to my escrow account each year escrow by adding flood insurance.. I've never been so disappointed with a mortgage company... I've never any type of refunds for hazard insurance that I've paid in which I should have never been charger for. The worst part is that my ACCOUNT now has been transferred to Di Tech with a negative escrow balance close to three thousand dollars.. I need some help please... Thanks,

Hello all,
I recently got my Ocwen loan modification done with RIG Financial Solutions after trying with dismal results to try other avenues. I am admittedly one of the people who jumped on the "we can help with your modification" adage a lot of these "companies" claim; I paid over $5, 000 in "startup" or "processing" cost as they said, for NOTHING to a company who was unable to help! I got nothing in return but angst and a lot of unanswered phone calls. I tried to do a modification myself, which as I look back on was a horrible idea, but it led me to doing some research and homework on who can help me, and HOW they can help me! My friend Arlene told me about RIG Financial Solutions (her fiancé' worked for them from what I understand now) and how they really fought to help save her home, and she kept encouraging me to look into the matter. Finally I did, and the best part of the entire process, I paid nothing until my modification was approved! They were really enthusiastic and focused on my case I had a 70k dollar principal reduction at 2% interest rate. My monthly mortgage payment was reduced from $2, 222.56 to $1234.42. I have nothing but the utmost confidence that they can help you if you’re in need. I sat down with their intake counselor, and they were able to jump right in; I was in foreclosure, losing my home as it was on the sheriff sale list and they were able to save my home! I honestly did not think they could, but they did and I am still amazed. For everyone here looking for a possible solution, maybe try RIG Financial Solutions...it worked for me...hope everyone has a blessed 2013! Take care, each of you!

tumichele and NuclearWynter I am in the same boat with Ocwen they bought our loan from Chase as of April 2012. I have been sending them scanned copies of everything. Our loan was modified by chase all papers signed. We made our first payment to Chase. So to date there was 6 to be made to Ocwen we have made all 6 and they sent me a statement dated Oct 15th that my next payment is due 11/1/2012 but a few days later statement dated Oct 19th. we are two months behind. Owing 9/1/12 and 10/12. I normally pay online and receive confirmation from them via E-mail I have them all saved. Today the rep was going over my payments and muted phone and then hung up. I went to the site and they have altered their website. Help with any information you have updated to this point. trina.stinson@yahoo.com

Wow, jbird I'm in the exact same situation but we are in Michigan, Ocwen took over our mortgage from Chase in June 2012. Then sent us a mortgage statement in July 2012 saying we hadnt made a payment since 2008 and owe $27, 000! We got documentation for all the mortgage payments made from 2008 to the more recent one on August 1, 2012. We just sent this paperwork in and haven't heard anything yet and now your story has me worried, my email is nuclearwynter@me.com . If this goes further I know we would be interested in a class action lawsuit. Thanks.

We have exactly the same problem with Ocwen. I've sent bank statements from 2008 through 2012 - and nobody will read them! They have us owing $41, 000 for back payments which were made to the previous servicer. I have been sending certified letters, documents, retained an attorney - did it all and still can't get it resolved. If you know of any class action suit against these thieves, please be in touch with me. Email: jfhorton@sbcglobal.net Thanks.

We're in a similar position and we've learned that Ocwen is well known for committing this type of fraud across the country. We're looking into an attorney, so if yours has a good handle on the situation, we might be interested in working with him/her as well.

Ocwen fraud

I purchased my home in 2006. I lost my job several months later. I bought with novastar mortgage, which sold to saxon, which went to deutche bank, who hired ocwen to service the loan. I spent 3 years in foreclosure. Once I began my daycare, I was put into a modification. So far so good.In 2011, I got my first taste of their incompetence. In july, they say I opted on their websie for monthly automatic payments. They took out my payment, and I had just made my payment. I couldn't afford to have two payments taken out in that month. I got someone from india, on the phone and thought it had been straightened out. Silly me. They credited me back my payment, but recorded that my other payment had been returned by the bank. After sending them bank statements since july 2011, it still hasn't been resolved. They sent me a letter from the "research" department, that supposedly didn't have a phone number, which said, after reviewing the bank statements, it showed that my payment had been returned by my institution. Clearly a lie. I am still fighting with them over this. The bank statements fo not lie, but apparently they do. Can never speak to a supervisor that will look at this and correct it right away. Ruined my poor credit. It's a nightmare. I think we need to go over there and expose them.

I have had the same issues with this company as other posters, currently close to foreclosure for no legitimate reason. Same scamming story, different customer. They are thieves ruining hardworking peoples lives. I am thinking about starting a campaign on facebook and am wondering what interest others may have in joining. We need serious exposure. I think some progress is being made to expose this joke of a company with newspaper articles and class action lawsuits but not enough. I have emailed the attorney general of Florida two times with no response. My attorney general said he can't really do anything. Any thoughts on the facebook campaign?

Received a copy (B) of a 1099A in early Feb 2015 filed to the IRS for the Year 2014 filing year from Ocwen this is indicating that I abandoned Secured Property in Shamokin Pa. Called and spoke to one of there representative that this matter is wrong I did not own the property in question. They will investigate the issue at hand and send me a letter of there findings. Received a letter stating that they are sorry that the 1099A was sent in error and that a corrected one would be sent to my attention. Well adding more time in the process I received a corrected 1099A stating a few changes not totaling canceling and removing from my IRS files. Without ado I've taken more drastic action against Ocwen its not nice to treat this company with respect and hope you can settle disputes on your own. After reading complaint about this company in the past has enlightened my feelings not to be nice my fist blast of wrong doings is filed with the BBB. My next one is in process and I will look into other avenues. I have paper work to back me up on this matter and prove that I am not the owner of said property. To help out any anyone who runs into matters in the future do not throw any paper work or correspondence pertaining to real estate matters this will help you prove a case and help you avoid nightmares with companies like this.

if there's any lawsuits count me in. Ocwen is the devil! wanda.lacey@att.net they are charging us HUNDRRDS! of dollars for a drive by evaluation.. (2 months behind) we are caught up as of December but still have nearly 400 dollars, plus late fees to pay. OCEEN makes it nearly impossible for loan modification as well.

wow...this is amazing because we've been dealing with Ocwen bank for the past two years trying to purchase an REO property where they've outsourced everything to India. I'm definitely emailing all the above...you've been a great help

Ocwen illegal and discriminatory consumer practices

Copy of my complaint

Ocwen loan servicing, llc
1661 worthington road, suite 100
West palm beach, fl 33409

May 16, 2012

Unfortunately, the timeframe allowed for pleasantries has past passed and my patience with you & ldquo;business” (And I use that term loosely) significantly overextended. The fact you rejected one (1) of two (2) payments for the total loan amount made electronically on the exact same day (April 15, 2012) , is only the & ldquo;tip of the iceberg”. Ocwen loan servicing has communicated/provided and documented conflicting and false information, oral and written, numerous times throughout the past week. Not only is this conduct unscrupulous, unethical, and illegal, such actions have been the direct cause of an increased level of stress, anxiety, and frustration, during an already challenging time involving my efforts to bring my account current and stop all foreclosure proceedings on my home. This following is brief synopsis of the events illustrating the aforementioned claims, in addition, the attached documentation verifies and authenticates these claims:

05/07/2012, 5:45 pm cst & ndash; 9:00 pm cst - telephone

• i received a check in the mail of $794.00, returning a portion of the $994.00 mortgage payment sent electronically on april 15, 2012, despite the full mortgage payment being made by april 15, 2010, received and processed my you april 18, 2012, the largest of the two was returned. No terms stated within my contract stipulate my total payment must be submitted via one check, transaction, etc.
• the date on the letter indicate it’s being sent on may 1, 2012, I did not receive the letter until may 7, 2012, thereby making my account go past the 80-day timeframe for the acceptance of single mortgage payments. The timeframe between my payment being sent/received by ocwen and ocwen notifying/returning, along with my receipt of the partial rejected amount of $794.00, was over 20 days. With the numerous methods of instantaneous electronic communication methods and utilized by ocwen, in addition, to the importance of this information to the me, the homeowner (I. E. , home foreclosure) , it is clear the delay in communication of this issue was deliberate and malicious. Ocwen has my email address and telephone number. Furthermore, they have used both to contact me. Therefore, it is clear ocwen intentionally delayed communication of this information to ensure the 80-day was far out of reach for me to potentially resolve this matter without my loan reaching foreclosure status.
• i spoke with several different agents on may 7, 2012 in an attempt to resolve this matter, providing proof of when payment was sent electronically by my bank and subsequently received by ocwen prior to the aforementioned 80-day initiation of foreclosure timeframe; most significant being roshini naronha, ocwen customer service supervisor. In our recorded telephone call, she requested I fax the documents verifying ocwen’s receipt of electronic payment prior to the aforementioned timeframe. She assured me several times would review the information and contact me via telephone within 24 hours to discuss this issue. Within 20 minutes of the conclusion of this telephone conversation, the documents in question were faxed and successfully received by ocwen (Refer to attachment may 7, 2012-fax verification of ocwen payment & ndash; r. Naronha). Despite my immediate fulfillment of ocwen’s request for via roshini naronha, this ocwen representative has yet to contact me as promised. However, and even more disturbing, during my may 12, 2012, 8:11 am cst, follow-up telephone conversation, naresh, ocwen customer service supervisor, I learned of the written statement in my account records, entered by ms. Naronha, alleging an unsuccessful attempt to contact me via telephone may 8, 2012, at approximately 6:15 pm cst, only reaching my voicemail and leaving no message. Attached is a copy of my telephone records for may 8, 2012 (Refer to attachment may 8, 2012-at&t telephone records). You will note my telephone service provider maintains a record of all incoming (Missed or answered) and outgoing communications. I received no incoming telephone calls on the date or during the time ms. Naronha alleges to have contacted me. Therefore, ms. Naronha, ocwen customer service supervisor (Someone in a leadership role and responsible for her own and monitoring the professional ethical behavior of others) knowingly and deliberately entered false information in my records, which is illegal. Furthermore, if she reached my voicemail, due to the important nature of this situation, her actions, at best, show her ineptitude as a supervisor and complete lack of respect for her responsibility to the consumer. Therefore, this communication serves as written notice of my awareness of such actions by an ocwen representative, in addition to ocwen’s responsibility to protect consumers against the deliberate and malicious entry of false information by its employees, via its internal investigation process, along with any potential legal sanctions resulting from such employee conduct.
• during this telephone converation, ms. Narohna, stated, if paid by may 31, 2012, the reinstatement quote of $3, 918.65.

May 8, 2012, 8:02 am cst - 9:32 am cst & ndash; telephone

• i spoke with two representatives on may 8, 2012, attempting to resolve this matter without having to pay the reinstatement quote within 20 days; the most significant being shareen, customer service supervisor. Shareen confirmed the aforementioned reinstatement quote indicated by ms. Narohna on may 7, 2012. Shareen stated/confirmed repeatedly throughout our recorded telephone conversation, if paid by may 31, 2012, the reinstatement quote of $3, 918.65.In addition, I instructed shareen to send written proof of this reinstatement quote via email to ensure I had written confirmation of ocwen’s acceptance of the aforementioned reinstatement amount, which solidifies ocwen’s legal accountability and responsibility to cease any/all foreclosure proceedings for the aforementioned amount if submitted by the aforementioned date.

May 12, 2012, 8:11 am cst - 9:00 am cst & ndash; telephone

• to ensure my records accurately reflected the reinstatement quote sent via email on may 8, 2012, i, again contacted ocwen customer service. I spoke with two representatives on may 12, 2012, the most significant being naresh, customer service supervisor. However, I was distressed when he contradicted the reinstatement quote communicated/confirmed repeatedly, oral and written, on several different days through the week of may 6, 2012. Naresh quoted the reinstatement amount of $4, 670.10 was necessary by may 31, 2012 to cease foreclosure proceedings. I informed him of my receipt of written confirmation on may 8, 2012 via email, of the reinstatement quote of $3, 918.65. Furthermore, I told him the amount he as quoted included & ldquo;other fees” and the following statement regarding these supposed fees:

Please make note of the other amounts due on your loan. Repayment of these amounts is not necessary to reinstate your loan at this time; however, it is required to fulfill your debt obligation under the note and the mortgage. We strongly encourage you to contact us to make payment arrangements to repay the other amounts outstanding and due by calling [protected].

Nareesh then stated the reinstatement quote emailed by ocwen on may 8, 2012, was & ldquo;rejected by the owner of the loan”. Therefore, the amount of $4, 670.10 was necessary by may 31, 2012 to cease foreclosure proceedings. I then asked him who was the owner of my loan because I had no idea as to whom or what entity he was referring, as ocwen is the only entity I have communicated with and/or submitted payments to since its acquisition of my loan was forced upon me in 2010. Naresh first stated he could not give me that information because it was & ldquo;confidential”, then he stated I had to request this information in writing. Therefore, this is written notice of my request for ocwen to release identity of the true owner/holder of my loan.
• nareesh confirmed my records indicated I was told by several different ocwen representatives and via email, if paid by may 31, 2012, the reinstatement quote of $3, 918.65. However, his records now indicated $4, 670.10 was necessary by may 31, 2012 and that he had to submit a complaint request and allow 5-7 business days.

May 14, - 15 2012 & ndash; telephone

I spoke with two freddie mac representatives, joyce (May 14, 2012, 4:45 pm cst) and ricardo (May 15, 2912, 12:00 pm cst). Both state if ocwen continues to refuse to fulfill the terms of the letter they sent, I should file a complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau, a subsidiary of the federal trade commission. After speaking with ocwen ombudsmen, raj, before and after my conversation with freddie mac, in addition to their continued refusal to adhere to the terms set forth in the may 8, 2012, reinstatement quote, I filed my complaint with the on may 15, 2012, consumer financial protection bureau (#[protected]).

May 16 2012 6:00 pm cst– telephone

I spoke with ashul, relationship manager, with ocwen. He again, quoted the reinstatement amount of $4, 670.10 was necessary by may 31, 2012 to cease foreclosure proceedings. Furthermore, he stated the reinstatement quote I received on may 8, 2012 was & ldquo;outdated” and stated he would send me a new reinstatement quote, which specified the & ldquo;other fees” totaling approximately $752.00 was necessary to reinstate my loan. Attached is the reinstatement quote dated, may 16, 2012, from ashul. It says exactly the same thing as what is stated in the may 8, 2012, reinstatement quote. This proves, yet again, ocwen’s illegal practices, and continued unwillingness to fulfill its legal obligation to the written reinstatement quote for my loan of $3, 918.65, if paid by may 31, 2012, I will not keep my money and use those funds to pay my attorney to pursue this matter legally.

How dare ocwen ask anyone to be patient when ocwen is not patient with them furthermore, because of ocwen’s complete lack of transparency; its supervisory employee’s entry of false information into consumer records; inconsistency and inaccuracy of information communicated to the consumer by its representative; in addition to ocwen’s unwillingness to fulfill its obligations and agreements, even if the consumer has fulfilled what ocwen has required of him or her, I am unwilling to wait 5 & ndash; 7 days. I deserve an immediate satisfactory resolution to this matter.

Below are the names and email addresses of ocwen's executive staff. For every ocwen consumer that has been treated unjustly and cannot get justice, flood these people's email account. That way they cannot say they "did not know" what was going on:

Ocwen hamp progrm

I have applied for the HAMP program and have been denied (per HAMP) because they have not investigated my situation properly and legally. They are denying me only because THEY are stating "I DO NOT LIVE IN THE PROPERTY". I have lived in this property since 1991, have sent proof regarding my living on this property and for the 3rd time they send me the exact SAME letter stating I am denied because I do not live there.
Please Note: I DO LIVE AT THE PROPERTY
I need someone to HEAR me! Help, I need assistance. My only other options is to write Washington, DC (White House), my Congressman/women and get this issue resolved.
They are messing with my homestead and this is not fair. It is as clear as black and white. Please grant me my HAMP package.
Sincerely,
W. E. Hubbard Brooks

I agree, they are weird to work with. I finally got my HAMP adjustment but while it helps in the short term, at the end of 20 years, I still owe them another $116, 000. This must be paid in full at the time it is due. This means another round of attempting to gain financing when I will be well over 80 years old! Not a big deal for me, I probably will be dead by that time but my wife will still have to deal with it.
