[Resolved] MTG Consultants / timeshare exit

I was contacted by this group someone by the name of Andrew asking if I wanted to cancel my Timeshare after I already signed up with another company to help us. Doing research the company hides a lot of information, the address we google map'd to a trailer home residence in biddeford, maine. These usually are fly by night companies, of course they wanted all fees upfront in the ranges of $2, 500-3, 500 to cancel. ALL SET!

    Customer care service did everything in their power to resolve this complaint. All attempts to contact the complainant have failed. Therefore, this complaint has been annulled and must not be considered where image of the company in question and it's services are concerned.

    Oddly enough, we have received, in verbatim, this same exact complaint posted to our Google Business Profile back in January. There are 3 competitive companies that provide the same exact service that we do that are within a 40 mile radius of our location. We previously discovered, with the assistance of the Google Team, that the point of origination for the original slandering came from St. John St. in Portland, ME. One of the competitive companies is located within the City of Portland, ME, which is only 12 miles away. We want to point out that after investigating into the ron that was filed, Google found the review to be fake and promptly removed it.

    Pertaining to the post itself, we'd like to point out the same discrepancies that we pointed out to Google when they assisted us with the removal of the original slandering comments. First, the person posting does not provide any sort of legitimate basis for a valid complaint. The individual in question is clearly not a client of M.T.G. Consultants, as he stated clearly that he is working with another company. They also do not make claim of M.T.G. Consultants harassing repeatedly for business. With this alone being said, there is no validity in filing a complaint. In regards to the comment of our company hiding information online, we are confused by the implied definition of said hidden information. We provide multiple transparent forms of contact with our company, and contrary to what the individual claims, we have a Brick & Mortar location set within the heart of the City of Biddeford. Our office is not remotely close to any "trailer house", a quick search of our address on Google Maps substantiates this statement. Our office overlooks Biddeford City Hall & the city Court House, and can be visited for proof of location at anyone's leisure, if they so choose. Also, our company has been in business for a little over 3 years now, which I am confident to say, does not fit the claim of a "fly by night company" figuratively or literally.

    Finally, we do not discuss the cost of services freely with any client unless they have expressed interest in moving forward with a comprehensive consultation, and the cost of services per case vary based on the circumstances and specifics of the client's ownership, and once a cost is pre-determined, it remains locked in and will not increase or decrease by any amount. Therefore, the client's claim of the cost of service upfront ranging from $2, 500.00 to $3, 500.00 has no true basis, as we would never provide a single client with multiple quotes. The only way someone could come to this conclusion would be either fabricating the price, or by having multiple individuals call in from a competitive company, with fake identities and stories in order to phish out the process of their competition.

    Regardless of all of this, their is simply nothing posted above that validates the need to post a complaint. We have a strong, proven track record with our provided services, and have the reviews on the Better Business Bureau, Facebook, Google, and Tugboat to prove it. We do not lead any client into a consultation with the phrase "take our word for it", we understand how strong the frustration is for many looking to get out of their timeshare, especially when many of these individuals were burned by the timeshare companies who used the same exact saying. We like to believe we put forward a little more tact by asking our clients to take their time and do the research online on our company, and to see the available reviews our previous clients have left for us; to compare their with the reviews left for competitive businesses.

    We also would like to point out that no legitimate business of this nature provides services up-front, all manner of legal representation will request payment first before proceeding forward with services, and most of them will not provide a flat-fee to their client simply because their is no step-by-step process the guarantees success in the same way or time frame every time. As much as we would like to help every individual looking for assistance for free, their are hefty expenses involved with being partnered with a legal team that are necessary for the process.

    With that being said, we would like to point out that this individual conveniently left out a very important point, we do provide the option of making monthly payments to clients that cannot afford the full cost of the case upfront. In fact, we are the only group that handles cases from Day 1 with partnered legal representation while clients make monthly payments towards the full expense. This allows clients to see the work being done in advance before they fully commit to the cost of services, which allows them to comfortably build confidence in our company. Finally, our office provides a risk free guarantee with every case we take on. If we are unable to get our clients cancelled from their timeshare by the end of our process, we will refund them the total cost of our services, and we provide more than a verbal confirmation of this to our clients.

    Regardless, our response is mainly for anyone who stumbles across this slander, if you wish to ask us any questions regarding our business or our process please do not hesitate to call us. We will be actively seeking removal of this complaint and hope Complaints Board will assist amicably with seeing this removed promptly.
