Stay away from Mirella (sewing of couture dresses in New York) and their business owners Riki Mantel and Gail Lida. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was treated so poorly here. This was really a miserable experience. In the process of being fitted, they were incredibly rude and to be honest, they were giving me some pretty awful and unwarranted mean looks. My mind was telling me the entire time to just stop the process and go somewhere else.
Is that worth going back to them? No, no, and no. The service is awful! Horrible persons to deal with, please don't go here! Abusive aggression is unacceptable for any service - especially if they want to be dishonest about her dramatically increased (i.e. shady) prices !
They are very rude and disrespectful to their customers. Its one thing to be a cold spirited person but another to be down right mean and nasty. I will never go back there again!
I completely agree with the first complaint above. This a totally unprofessional house posing as couture. They are rude and uncaring. Aim of the game is to SELL and get you and the dress out the door as quickly and rudely as possible. They smile graciously till the deposit is given and you are trapped. They do not fit correctly and do not deliver what was promised.
Please note: The above review was written by an employee of ours who was dismissed (we caught her approaching our clients, trying to convince them to go to a competitor in exchange for a kickback). We are taking legal action at the moment to remove this post but it is very difficult to remove postings from this site, even false ones. (This posting was written days after she was dismissed and we have never had any complaints like this in our nearly 15 year history.)
