This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I never knowingly authoritzed this company to charge my account $88.97 like they did, I truly never read the terms and conditions that I will in the future. These people at the 800 customer service line are rude ignorant people who do not care. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Too bad we have companies like this since now I will no longer order on the internet from companies. I will stick with Amazon for everything.

This is the worst place that I have ever had to deal with and this weekend when I have time I will be filing complaints with all parties involved. They do this because they know people are too busy and really sometimes not everyone looks at their statements. I am disputing the charge now. I will find the Better Business Bureau in CA and do all that I possibly can from NJ.

Hi, I am Alton Arnold and I ordered the luminous whitening kit thinking that I was only paying for the shipping and handling charge which was 4.99 only but when I got my credit card bill I saw a charge for 88.97, I was highly upset because not only the 88.97 was charged but I had a overlimit fee of $19.00 on my credit card so I would like to cancel my order of the upcoming shipment of the Luminous whitening and be reimbursed the $88.97 and the $19.00 to my capital One credit card.

Same problem as everyone else, what a way to add stress to my Holidays. I will call my credit Card company and dispute this charge of 89.00! I still can't get though to cancel further deliveries. HELP.

This is a fine way to darken my Holiday
Season. An envelope with two stupid syringes of whitening goop. The trial was enough for me. Unable to get through to cancel before this. Now a 89.99 charge for somthing that's worth pennies. Can't even get though to them now to cancel. I will be calling both my CC Companies to see which one I used and to dispute the charge. Also, calling better business bureau. I better get my money back. What a scam.

If you bother to read the terms and conditions on the bottom of their page it says that you will be charged if you don't say anything to them. And they will continue to be charged until you do.

I was charged $88.97 for one tube of whitening gel! I contacted the Better Business Bureau in regards to this company scamming all these people and would suggest for everyone to do that. This needs to stop! People are getting ripped off including me!

Agreed. Could not get a hold of anybody to return the product. I bought a $4.99 trial product and they charged me $88.97 two weeks later. I am so pissed. They are the biggest scam.

i tried to email this scam company, and of course the site is not available. when i called, they hung up on me when i asked for the rma # to ship back the product. My credit acct. company said to dispute the claim and send back the product. I did this, but it also cost me $18 to ship it so that i could get a signature of receipt.I also put a claim in with the better business bureau. this company must be stopped.

I agree with the complaints. Apparently I didn't read the fine print and also received another shipment that I was not expecting and certainly would not have signed up for $88 a month. Way out of my budget.

I was never aware when ordering this product through the e-mail that it was a monthly thing. It was supposed to be a one time order. I just received another order and 88.97 was deducted from my checking account. I want this to stop immediately.
Thank you

I was charged 88.97 by luminousbrites.com for an awful product. I ordered a free trial and paid the shipping fee's also and DID NOT authorize any further charges. My computer crashed and I could not cancel or contact luminousbrites as everything was on my computer(all of which I have proof of) and as
soon as I had a new hard drive installed on my computer, I went online to check on my banking and discovered the 88.97 that was charged to my account WITHOUT my permission. My bank had to get me
the contact information an 800 number when I contacted the company they assured me that there would
be no problem having my money refunded due to extenuating circumstances, then they gave me an email address to send an email to billing to get a refund of my monies but instead they said I didn't cancel
in the 20 day time frame and basically told me they didn't have to give me a refund but that there would NOT be anymore deductions from my account because my account had been cancelled...I agree.. SOMETHING REALLY HAS TO BE DONE WITH THIS FRAUDULANT COMPANY...I want my monies refunded immediately and have no idea how to get it back...does anyone out there know what can be done about this?

Yep, I too have been 'swindled' by Luminous Brites! I called them literally SEVEN times today to find out where this mysterious product was that I never intentionally ordered. Every single time I started telling my story and the reason I was calling (to get a 'tracking number' to find out where my product was so that I could return it for a refund!), they would disconnect the call. I discovered that it's one of two guys who answer the toll-free number for this company. Can't something be done?

I think someone really needs to investigate this Luminous Brites company, I got the email stating it was a free trial and to pay 4.99 + 1.00 for shipping & insurance. I check my web-banking account and find the company took $88.97 out, so I called them and emailed them and all they said is they do not give refunds but will cancel your membership (I DIDN"T sign up for a membership though. The email they send has a totally different link to order from their website, because the link that I received in the email had no small print whatsoever. So, when you go to the bank and the bank investigates them all they do is give the bank the website containing the small print... They are SCAMMERS... All they do is get innocent people to give their credit card numbers and then charge you. If they really value their product then they would offer a refund. DO NOT ORDER FROM LUMINOUS BRITES!

I, too, have been swindled by Luminous Brite. I received an e-mail response when I told them that the TERMS AND CONDITIONS does state something to the effect that if membership is not cancelled at 20 days that another refill shipment will be sent HOWEVER it does not say 20 days from enrollment. I ###-U-ME D that it was 20 days from delivery. At 11 days after delivery of something not nearly resembling the contents that I thought that I was getting, my card was charged $88.97. I have sent copies of my e-mails to the California State Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, The Lieutenant Governor and the Better Business Bureau. I don't know that it will do any good but you can darn well bet that I will be posting against Luminous Brite on every website that I can find that I think someone might refer to for information PRIOR to making the same mistake that I made.

I'm having the same problem. I've found a ton of complaints all over different sites, but I'm not sure if anyone ever got reimbursed the $88.97 or more. It's ridiculous how these companies can get away with this.

When I tried the sample, it came in a small package with two trays and a syringe. No statement of any kind. I recently noticed that my bank account has an UNAUTHORIZED debit for the amount of $88.97. I have taken measures to get this corrected with my bank. I have to sign a affidavit requesting the bank get the money back and to make sure that my other checks do not debits do not bounce. This is a bad way of conducting business. Why doesn't the BBB step in? They should!

I just got another "free trial" of their whitening system, only I read the paperwork that came with it and saw that they would be charging me $88.97 every 30 days. What!?! I did not sign up for this sh*&. I only intended to pay the s&h for the "free trial" since that's what Luminous Brites advertised- "only pay s&h"! I went to the website given to cancel my order and guess what? Now I'm here. Scammers.

This also happened to me, and I just wanted to say that I complained to them repeatedly over email and blocked phone calls, as well as my bank and the charges against my account were dropped 5 days later. I also cancelled my debit card just to make sure no more charges could be placed against my account. I guess I caught it in time but I will not be ordering anything over the internet again. Lesson learned.

I am going through the same thing right now. However, they did email me back and offered to refund 34.99. Did any of you catch in their policy that they would provide a FULL refund if not satisfied. You need to obtain and RMA number and send it back within 15 days. However, you can only get this RMA number through email. And they do not email back in enough time to return the product (if you were to get an RMA number) in 15 days. I am so frustrated with this company. We all need to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I also did not see that this would be an ongoing delivery situation or would never have agreed in the first place.
The whitening is not safe for my partial plate and my dentist advised me not to use it in the event that it caused irreversable damage.
Therefore, I am cancelling the whole thing and returning the package with the whitening vials that I received two days ago.
I agree with the above comments that this is very poor marketing and will only result in the public not trusting your product at all.

I have written Luminous Brites a very nasty letter! If they do not refund my $88.97 when they get their product back Via certified mail and cancel my membership my bank has been put on notice to investigate this company as fraud! Very dissatisfied customer! Will definetly not ever do business with them again! Its a scam!

I just got my bank statement and your company has helped yourself to $88.97. I would appreciate if you will redeposit this money. I have spoken to my attorney and he said to try to get it fixed without a big mess. I have cancer and just had a lobe and a half of my lung removed. I am also on disability, so if you want to scam someone I would hope it is not me.I was shocked when my nurse went to get some groceries and I had 17.00. Please I would appreciate fixing this. Thank you, Susan Scruggs

I actually ordered it and read the page. The product worked well and I canceled before the trial terms was up. Lesson is read the page carefully before you click and agree to any terms. I did the same thing on the free credit report website and got tagged for 19.99. But this site was clear to me but I guess some people missed it. Here's the order page http://luminousbrites.com/order.aspx and in the terms is says you can cancel via phone, email or the cancellation link

I was not aware of the situation in ordering the free trial. It was supposed to be a seven day trial and ended up only being a four day trial due to only getting one tube of product. I did not see any good results and was not intending on using it again. Until, I received two more tubes in the mail and not knowing I had signed up for a monthly order. I too can not get into the websit to cancel. I will be getting reimbursed considering I was misinformed!

I was totally shocke when I got my 2nd shipment in the mail and they took88.97 from my account, The customer service was so rude! Telling me they pay for a billing depatment for a reason, I asked him the what do they pay you for ? He hung up on me! I then went on line and saw all these complaints. I realized it would do me no food to contact the billing department and called my bank right away. They credited my account and there will be an investigation of bad practice of bussiness. So call your bank to see if ther is something they can do for you
