I C Systems has been told several times in several ways the following statements: The dental insurance paid in full for all previous work. It should have paid for all of this bill. Ask the insurance company why not; We do not owe this bill and we are not going to pay this bill and this is the final and bottom line; Talk to the insurance company and/or Great Expressions and put it back to them as we are not going to pay this bill. The last time we talked to a lady all this was said again and that after telling several callers the same statements that the calls are now falling on Harrassment. At that point we were hung up on by the person saying they were calling from IC Systems. Yesterday, Sept. 13, 2008 which is a Saturday, We received Four (4) calls that day starting at 8:10 AM. Stop the HARRASSMENT NOW! We will contact the Better Business Bureau.

I also have found Great Expressions Otho to be all about the extra money they try and collect beyond insurance and scheduled payments. The 1 and only time I had a $30.00 late fee was after a Memorial day holiday right after my son just started going to this orthodentist. I thought it was strange that they had such a strict "pay by the first of each month policy as we were in the office every month and initially thought paying when going was allowed. Some of this thinking was due to Great Expressions not billing but as I found out just expecting your check to arrive. Well the month before I got hit we were in the office the first Tuesday of the month which was not near the first day of the month but at that time I was told if you have an appointment the first Monday or Tuesday of the month you can pay then. That sounded good and I payed and had the next appointment scheduled the first Monday or Tuesday they were in the Livonia Office after Memorial Day 1996 as the week of Memorial day they were closed. When we went on the Tuesday the week after Memorial Day and went to pay I was told we owed an additional $30.00 as we did not come in on Monday the day before and pay? I was livid, but as you know they started pulling the "Did you read your contract" crap and would not even schedule another appointment if I did not agree with the extortion and pay the extra $30.00. More recently, August of 2008, now keep in mind all my payments were done almost 8 months previous, I went to schedule a new appointment and they said I owed $92.00 as my insurance refused to pay the final bill they sent in July 2008. I had no idea what was going on at that time but did ask if we could hold off until I contacted my insurance to find out why. They would of preferred if i would pay and check but did agree to let me check without paying. What I have learned is that my Met Life Insurance pays for the extraction of 4 teeth billing the extraction against the ortho total. My son went for his first visit and was told by Great Expression he needed 2 teeth pulled but they did not pull teeth so we would need to have this done at the dentist. We did and went back next month to get the braces and of course the monthly payments which did not factor in the $92.00 Met Life billed for the extraction. I was not sure if this was a Met Life problem or Great Expressions problem but have decided Great Expressions asked to have the teeth extracted, Great Expressions set up the payment plan and Great Expressions being a business doing othro work should either know or read each new patients policy coverage before setting a payment schedule. I am pissed and soon to be $92.00 slimmer.
