Best Buy & Citibank Visa Fraud review: fraud regarding 10% best buy credit for initial purchase 1

I just wasted over an hour at Best Buy attempting to purchase 5 appliances. I was told that I would received a 10% Best Buy credit for my FIRST purchase if I signed up for a Citibank Visa. My appliance order was over $4, 500, so that would have meant I would have received $450 in credit at Best Buy to purchase other merchandise there.

After going through the process, Citibank approved me for a credit limit of $450- Who even opens an account for that amount now a days? If I had proceeded with the transaction, that would have meant $45 to spend at Best Buy.

I can only assume that Citibank did not want to give me a line of credit necessary for the purchase as they did not want to foot over $450 in Best Buy credit. When they looked at my credit card history, they would seen that I pay off my credit card balances every month, so they would not have recouped the cost of the Best Buy credit from me.

I found the whole process to be humiliating and demeaning- The salesperson must have thought I was some sort of degenerate who only qualified for a credit limit of $450- My credit score is well over 800.

I will never do business with Citibank or Best Buy again. Best Buy didn't really do anything wrong, but they are complicit because they forged an alliance with Citibank who's only goal is to secure new customer from which the can make a profit.

Hi.

Appreciate hearing about your credit concerns.

The amount allowed by creditors is generally based upon a debt to equity ratio. It's not usually reflective of poor credit or any form of manipulation; it simply means you're likely over-extended based upon their risk assessment.

Please note, if this concern has already been addressed to your satisfaction, there is no need to respond to this text.
