Apex Realty / Awful company
If you are renting from Apex Realty or plan on renting from Apex Realty please know that the properties they manage are typically not in good condition. Apex Realty knowingly covers over problem areas with paint. These issues will cause you to have extremely high electric bills, water leakage and other issues.
Apex Realty is not good about making any repairs to the home itself, but is good about repairs to your a/c or heat. Here are a few issues that have been experienced: faulty electrical stove, non-working garage door opener (never fixed over a 4-1/2 year period), falling down fence (patched), periodic flooding into master closet from high rains in back yard, multi-layers of flooring so glue seeps through the floor, foundation issues which caused all windows to not close properly which caused extremely high electric bills, rotted upper and lower window which caused water damage from heavy rains, heating system that had a loud combustion (so loud it would shake the house but Apex said it was ok), etc. Because Apex Realty does not maintain the property, the issues increased year after year. Over fear of a heating system blowing up, the tenant decided to purchase a home.
Apex Realty was also deceitful on a government VOR (verification of rental) form to try to prevent a long standing tenant from purchasing a home. Apex Realty has some good members to the staff, but be sure to keep copies of ALL correspondence to and from Apex Realty. They can conveniently miss items from their files that will affect you. Thankfully, this client kept all correspondence and could prove that Apex Realty was deceitful on the VOR which caused a three day delay on the purchasing of their home.
