Al Wasl General Maintenance reviews and complaints

I have lived in Dubai for 10 years now and Al Wasl Maintenance is without a doubt the worst company I have ever used. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will be dishonest, try take your money without providing a satisfactory service and waste lots of your time!

On October 9th, I arranged for a repair man from Al Wasl Maintenance to come to my apartment to look at my broken dishwasher. I had found their company advertised online as an "expert repair service for dishwashers and washing machines". I should have done my research beforehand.

He told me that the control board of the dishwasher needed replacing, which would cost me 600AED. I paid him the deposit of 600AED which he requested and he assured me that he would return two days later with a new control board. However, I should not have trusted him. Having lived here for 10 years, I have trusted many companies during that time with prepayment before a service is provided and have, until now, always been satisfied.

I had to call him and WhatsApp him numerous times every day for over three weeks until he FINALLY returned. Each time he answered my call he would promise to come that day. He would say 5pm, then 8pm, then 10pm etc but never show up. I waited up late on 3 separate occasions for him to return to fix my dishwasher. This showed a huge lack of respect for me as a customer. He even had the audacity to get annoyed with me on a couple of occasions as he felt I was calling him too much!

When he returned on November 2nd, he put the "new" control board into the dishwasher but it still doesn't work. He refused to refund me the 600AED that day saying that he did not have any cash on him. He instead took the dishwasher with him to fix it in their workshop and assured me he would return in 2 days.

Once again, I had to call and message him many times each day. Then on November 9th, a different employee from Al Wasl Maintenance returned to fit the "repaired" dishwasher. This employee wasn't sure how to fit the dishwasher and left it in a worse state than it was originally back in October. (Pictures attached) It was now installed with a huge space above it. So they had taken 600AED and made things worse!

I then got in touch with the Consumer Protection Service of Dubai, who were very helpful. They got in touch with Al Wasl Maintenance about refunding me 600AED. I was FINALLY transferred 500AED (he took 100AED for labour fees which I couldn't believe). At that point, I was so drained and fed up from 6 weeks of constant calls, messages and false promises from Al Wasl Maintenance that I simply accepted the 500AED. He can keep the 100AED and hopefully he receives no good luck from that 100AED!

Anyway, I hope people read this and avoid making the same mistake as I did.
Avoid this company at all costs! Don't be another customer they try to scam! I eventually used a different company who fixed and re-fitted my dishwasher within 2 days. 😁

This is a total ripoff company and the attitude of staff is arrogant and cheating mentality. When i asked them for a servic, he came and the machine has no complaint (only water outlet drainage issue). Still they charged me 120AED without any labor. He is a total rippoff man who tried to cheat his customers. It is fair to collect a nominal charge for their travel or their small service charge. Never approach this company for any of the services dear friends. This kind of companies even destroy the culture of whats we are saying about the service.
