Aeromexico / seat

I made a reservation October 4, in which I paid extra to pick seats since there are 4 of us and we want to sit together. I received an email from Expedia saying there was a change in our flight coming home, we are Flying to Cancun from LAX on Feb 27 and returning on March 6, the flight home was changed so through Expedia we picked a new flight but they said the flight from Mexico City to LAX I couldnt pick seats because the seat map wasn't available and to call AeroMexico. I just got off the phone with them and they said they couldn't get in to give us seats and to check at the airport. I have already paid for seats to enable us to sit together and don't want to wait until then at the airport to "hope" we sit together. Why was it possible Oct 4 to get seats but not today? Our confirmation is HQKILZ the flight number from Mexico City to LAX on March 6 is AM 648 all our seats I chosen center, isle/ isle, center in the same row across from each other. I would appreciate any help With this situation. Thank you very much
