Horrible, misleadin. Doesnt anyone do what they say they will do anymore? Scam.

ClearChecks is a terrible service. They don't do what they say they will do. It's like they're tryin to scam people.

I signed up for ClearChecks and they took money from my account, but I didn't receive a confirmation email. I tried calling them, but their phone doesn't work. I can't even email them because I don't have a reference number. It seems like a total scam.

Stay well clear of this company, it's nothing but a scam! They charge £95.00 for something that the government only charges £23.00 for. Trying to get your money back is impossible. I tried calling them, but no luck. I also sent emails, but got no reply. This company is an absolute joke and should not be allowed to trade.

ClearChecks is a total scam! Don't even bother with it! They try to deceive you into getting a background check on yourself! They sneak in additional charges, and if I hadn't caught on, they would have continued scamming me. When I tried to reach out to them, they flat out denied it and their customer service is absolutely terrible. Watch out! I initially believed that the validation process was meant for me as the employer. These guys should face legal consequences. Thankfully, my credit card company will support me in this matter!

This background check company is the absolute worst. It's a total scam, no doubt about it. They charged me a whopping $150 for their services, while other companies only charge $20-$30. And to make matters worse, they sneakily added hidden fees. These local fees, which cost $90 per county, were buried in the fine print links. It's unbelievable! They should clearly disclose the amount they will charge before processing the payment. That's what hidden fees are all about. On top of that, the information they provided was even worse than what you'd get from those $20 companies. I strongly advise you to steer clear of this company.

I agree with everything that's posted here. ClearChecks has a professional looking website. Don't be fooled. Definitely avoid. There is no mention of extra fees, they make it look like County searches are voluntary for an additional fee, but then they automatically do the county search and claim it's out of their control. I paid $100 for their background check, and they added an additional $95 to the final price. Bunch of criminals who should be out of business.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I used ClearChecks, 'cause they're sadly spot-on. I went for the priciest package, a whopping $85, to make sure I covered all my bases for a background check on myself. Being a self-employed person, I even showed proof of owning my own biz and took a call from someone. But guess what? They labeled my employment as unverifiable and told me I had to get another report to fix it. I mean, seriously? I already splurged on the most expensive package to dodge this kinda mess. What a bummer, it's just a scam.

I've used this service twice before and it was alright. This time, I did a bigger search and now I know and want you to know. If you order the $39.99 report, you're giving us permission to automatically run those counties, but there might be extra charges depending on the counties...and if those counties have extra charges. They don't tell you what those charges are. So, I got hit with a $95 EXTRA charge on my credit card. Their response was, "You were told twice during checkout that there might be extra charges." They just lost my business.

I wouldn't recommend using ClearChecks because it seems like a scam. They are really sneaky. They charged me an extra $95 on top of the $79 they originally quoted. I expected them to apologize and call me about the mistake, but they didn't. When I asked for the owner's name, Charlie C, they wouldn't give me his email or phone number. It's weird that they wouldn't provide that information when it's so easy to find. I hope people who are thinking about using them check their reviews first. I think the attorney general might even be looking into them. You should stay away from them, just like you would avoid sketchy thieves.

The customer service at ClearChecks was really arrogant and made me feel like I was dumb and needed them for a job. They refused to accept my SSN because my card clearly states that it's not for identification purposes. The sales agent insisted that the SSN is required, but that's not right according to my rights and everyone else's rights. This company should be boycotted. The FAA and other government services have different ways of doing background checks, so why can't ClearChecks offer any other options? Boycott, boycott, boycott!

This company didn't provide the services I needed to run proper check on my employees. When I contacted the company about the issue and getting a refund, the representative Charlie was very hostile and unprofessional. The first email response said, "What did we advertise that we did not do!" The representative went back and forth with me via email, saying "you need to... and I assure you!... per your screenshots!...everything in exclamations" until I said I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Then he said there is no supervisor, only him and the owner. This is a very unprofessional company that only gave me the address of the employee I searched. The next morning he called me at 8 am and was rude. I told him he needs to schedule a call with me and said my assistant will contact him. When they talked, she explained she had to hang up because he was extremely rude and he wouldn't talk to someone else or give a refund. Within 3 minutes, a refund email was sent for $20, but I paid $29.99. I will file a claim with my bank for the remaining amount. This company or the person representing the company is very unprofessional, hostile, and rude! They need customer service training right away. I might have been able to reach an agreement with them if the initial response and ongoing responses weren't so hostile and disrespectful. I am very dissatisfied with the product and the service provided.

The website got false advertisement. I got a screenshot, you know! It says they do dmv "driving records in all 50 states". But when I added the driving record search to my order, the results only showed one state where the person had a license for just 2 weeks. The whole driving history was in another state, and clear checks didn't search that state or give me a refund.

HIDDIN CHARGES. This is a scam company. Their fee looks low up front. But after they complete the check, they'll tell you about all the supplemental databases they searched and charge you for them without your consent. They point to some fine print about how there *maybe other charges, but they never specifically say which ones they plan to charge you. In my case, they charged an additional $95 in supplemental fees for searches that I did not specifically request.
